Horrible! Terrible! Incompetent and completely unprofessional! Worst experience of my adult life - ordered an installation of services - that's right, I'm not even a customer yet, and they already managed to screw up my entire order 3 times. Out of five people I spoke with (including a "supervisor"), four were completely incompetent and every time they made changes to the order, they screwed something up. So, something, simple that could have been set up in one day required 5 phone calls. I don't really know whom they employ and why they can't own up to their mistakes. After being a bell customer for 12+ years, They lie, make promises and when they don't keep their promises they refuse to fix their issues! I ordered an upgrade, they lost my phone after the delivery company they use refused to deliver it because they don't deliver to PO Boxes so for over 2 months I had to call repeatedly to get updates and still got nothing! I escalated my issues and still nothing so cancelled my services and was porting my phone to Telus when bell called me and gave me an apology and said they will fix this, give me my same offer just go to the store and get a phone and they will also give me good will credits for all my hassles! I agreed and went, got to the store and they had to call same guy I spoke to as the store couldn't honour what he said, so the loyalty guy I spoke to a while still couldn't honour the plan however he said he made it so I would get the same pricing and my good will credits for my hassles and said he fixed it all asked me if I'm okay with everything now, I said yes! Got home the phone was not the right colour as I never took it out of the box because I was extremely busy and didn't have time to flip it all over yet, I got my first bill it was also not what I was told so I called in to get it resolved however I was told they would adjust it accordingly and it still wasn't After fighting for several months I gave up, I called for my buy out and a final amount owing and decided that was my best route as I couldn't handle dealing with all the issues anymore! I got one bill after that had my buy out in December it was wrong, January I got a final bill for the device balance that I wasn't supposed to have and called to argue it and escalated the issue finally gave up and said fine so I paid a partial payment, went to see my final amount due date and suddenly I received a bill in feb for all my credits that they reversed! My buy out on my device for early cancellation froM when they lost my phone so I shouldn't have had to pay that because I was still using my old phone and plan, they didn't get me the phone or plan because they lost it and after 2 months of me calling and begging for an update they finally wrote it off so I technically stayed for the entire term of my contract and they gave me good will credits for my hassles but Reversed those, also reversed my credits for changing my number when I was getting an influx of telemarketing calls and my credit for processing fee that I didn't do in store and was told I didn't have to pay that because it's out of my control! And I can keep going! So after 12+ years of being a loyal customer I was forced to leave and now they have sent me a bill for just under 1200 that I actually don't owe because they breached their contracts when they lied to me and didn't fulfill there end of the deal! I have filed a complaint with the CRTC, BBB and am going to pass this around to the news companies because i hope to save others from being ripped off like I have been especially after being a loyal customer of 12 + years and having multiple accounts & products! If these do not work to satisfy this a issue I will hand it over to a lawyer to deal with at their expense! Such a poor customer service. They do not care about their customers at all. I have my home internet with Bell. They added TV service to my account without even asking my permission and started charging me for this service. When I called them to find out why did they added this service to my internet bill, their representative couldn't explain me why they did that and put me on hold for 1 hour and 15 min. After being on hold for so long they simply hanged up on me. Very disappointed with their services and do not recommend Bell Canada to anyone. read more

Had five separate technicians not show up for separate appointments took two days off work to be there for them and then also wasted my weekend at home waiting for their techs after being promised they would be there I spoke to probably around fifteen different reps that were not able to give me answers as to why these technicians were not showing up and no one had called me telling me what's going on. I was constantly lied to, and transferred around wasted 6 days waiting for this company to come and give me services. I called them today to ask them why they didn't show up today as well when I was guaranteed this time they would come and again got the run around. The first encounter: I went to Bell, St-Laurent Mall, Ottawa, to upgrade my phone with a friend since we are on the same account. Was told that we were eligible for a promotion with the new Samsung galaxy 10. The promotion came with a free tablet (Huawei). We confirmed with the sales associate that the tablet was free. He confirmed and told us that we only had to pay 40$ for the activation fee. The only contract he made us sign was in regard to our phone bill. A month later we received a bill of 10$ to pay for the tablets on a 2-year contract (about 200$ once the 2 years are over). We contacted Bell to rectify the error. They told us that we signed a contract for the tablets and we had to pay or to cancel it and be billed for the cancellation. We went to the store and was told that it was too late to return the tablet since it was after the return date. The sales associate also showed us that the document we signed wasn't only for the phone but also had a hidden fee for the tablet. We were never formally told about the monthly fee for the tablet or else we would've never agreed to it. Now are now stuck paying 10$ more on our phone bill for a free tablet that we didn't ask for. Second encounter: I called Bell to cancel our television services since no one in the house uses it. I am currently paying 170$ for all 3 services and would like to remove the tv services. Was told that I was on a tight promotion and that it covered television as well. I agreed to remove the promotion. Was then told that if it would be more cost-effective to maintain my tv services because my bill would skyrocket to 190$ (200 and some $ with taxes) if I only pay for basic telephone (20$) and unlimited internet (90$) because of the removal of the promotion. ???? I got to say bell Canada thinks their customers are stupid. They have abusive prices and they claim that they got the best deal. I asked for telephone and internet unlimited, but they say to get unlimited I must get the tv with it. So, I got all three services for new customer promo. Once the promo ended trouble started. I first get a bill of a 106 first few months since the end of the promotion, couple bills later 112 (I've been with them for almost 4 years prices are approximate in my description) and now 120. In between those bills I get random long distance phone charges, solution center tells me that their system has registered it there is nothing they can do to help (total bullshit). I assume these abusive prices are happening because they hold some sort of monopoly on their Internet and phone services. Next is bargaining for a new deals, I only get the short end of the stick. You are never eligible for those new promotions because it is reserved for new customers only. They say I am paying almost nothing for basic tv which is absolute b.s I get charged 30.00 for this crap that I don't need. $50.00 for unlimited internet with 5 mbps, found a 50 mbps deal with same price from another company offering unlimited. I never needed the latest internet technology like fibe, was perfectly happy with cable or even dsl. Home phone they charge me $50, claiming they are giving me credit for call waiting , call display, and the etc. I saw fido's deal they get me all these coverage for 6.50 for the promo and it turns to 13 after promo for regular price (only because I am already a customer with them, see the difference how Fido treat old clients and how bell treats old clients?). My advice to current and future bell clients, DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THIS COMPANY. If you aren't already a member look elsewhere, if you are ESCAPE. They will rip you off for every dollar you have. I had the worst experience ever with Bell, I got the approval from the sales rep by phone on $28 per month for landline but they did not send the confirmation email until I got the first invoice and the invoice was $45.i called 10 times and talked to many people but completely useless and now after one year they even increased the invoice $8 dollars, when i called them and asked them why?????? They said the prices are subject to increase yearly ,i asked so what the meaning of fixed contract is then???? I am very disappointed with the service from Bell Canada. I have been trying to get a line buried for months and each time I call to try and understand when it will be completed I get the response that there is no ticket open and there is no scheduled work for this concern. I am told a ticket is then opened and after a while when I phone about the ticket status I am told that one is closed but they can open another one. Its a never ending process. I have never been more frustrated with a service provider. I am thankfully not a Bell Customer and this experience has really opened my eyes about their lack of accountability, responsibility and customer centricity. read more

Terrible service. I have internet with Bell Canada and the service is always, being disrupted by Bell Canada, without any justifiable reasons. Sometimes I go days, without internet service and for longer periods of time. I get daily interruptions with my internet. But what made me livid right now, is the fact that Bell Canada's technical support, can be so dishonest, as to disrupt your service, or to intentionally, not turn it back on, when they could have done so. Today, it took a female Bell Canada technician, to turn my internet back on, after four days of no internet service and after the male technicians, that I had been dealing with, for the last few days, had claimed that they could not fix the problem on their end. Turns out that all the female technician had to do, was to run a test and then to turn the internet back on, after she claimed that it was a network problem, that was easily fixed, by just turning it back on, after doing the diagnostic test. Yet the dishonest male technicians, let me be without internet for days, while they pretend to not be able to fix the problem, on their end. Blaming the problem on the modem. Which worked fine after the woman technician, simply turned on back the service, which was intentionally disrupted by Bell Canada. The second major issue with Bell Canada, is that it uses a used modem and do not tell the customers this information upfront, when they are getting the internet service with Bell Canada. How about starting off honestly, and tell the new customers, that they will be getting a used (refurbished) modem, that do not have any batteries, as part of their new service with Bell Canada, and let the customer decide if they want the service, or not. Bell Canada let the customers believe, that they are getting a brand new product, when they sign up with that company, when all that they are getting, is a used modem. Also Bell Canada takes a long time to get back to you, when there is a problem with its service. BELL CANADA DISRUPTED MY SERVICE, JUST FOR THE SAKE OF HARASSING ME. Back in August, I tried to add an additional line to my account. When I hadn't received confirmation that the phone had been mailed, I called them. They told me that the request had been canceled. I should have let that be it and moved on to another carrier, but I already had 3 phone lines with Bell, and didn't feel like moving. They told me they had to create a new request with a new phone number and a new phone order. A couple of weeks later, I received two phones instead of one, and had two phone numbers added to my Bell account. I called them to let them know this was done in error. They asked me to return one by mail to them using the label inside the box. I did that on August 28. They received it mid day on September 4. The phone is still showing up on my Bell account today (September 28). I have called them repeatedly to have this issue fixed. Initially, they told me that the escalation would take a couple weeks. That was weeks ago. Now, my full bill amount is due tomorrow and they still can't figure out how to remove the charge from my account. I asked them once again to escalate the issue. I was transferred to a customer service manager who hung up the phone on me. I hadn't even gotten to the point of confirming my identity with her. She just hung up on me. I don't know why I continue to do business with them. They have messed this up so many times. I've been on the phone with them at least 10 times to fix this issue between setting up the phone number and having the second line removed. And now that I'm trying to close this all up, they have the nerve to hang up on me?! Don't do business with them. They treat their long time customers like garbage. read more

Bluetooth box was attached to a wire hanging from ceiling in my closet with box on the floor in my hallway. I was told a technician would come to my apartment within 2 weeks to install properly. 3 months later nobody showed up so i had to call. I pay with 4 other roommates for our internet package, over the summer while 2 of us were here, our internet speeds were usually around 5-10 mbps, while we pay too much for 50mbps speeds. I have a had a long and frustrating experience with Bell. We went with Bell over Rogers due to past experience with Rogers. Over a 5 year period we paid for 5MBPS we never actually received that service despite being such a low download speed. Our average speed was less than 2MBPS we brought this up with Bell. Had to deal with the worst customer service I have been ever seen. After almost 2 years we were fed up with the shit they gave us and cancelled our services. We set up an appointment with Rogers, Rogers was unable to install internet because the Because the Bell install crew damaged the infrastructure so badly that it would have to be completely replaced to install any other company. As a result of the damage we went back to Bell. Bell promised to waive any cancellation fees. In the following month Bell, went back on the deal, increase my expenses and failed to fix the problem that caused us to leave the first time. I am glad to say I moved city's and went with a different company. When I lived in Ottawa a large city of more than 1 million people, I paid $90 for 5 MBPS with Bell. I now live in a small town of 10,000 people in northern Ontario, I pay a rival company $100 and I receive 1000MBPS. I would not recommend Bell Canada to anyone. I would recommend talking with Bell Canada customer service as a possible torture method for Gitmo. Bell Canada will lie and cheat you for any amount of money they can get. I am shocked this company is allowed to remain open. TLDR Bell Canada customer service is horrendous. They will lie to you, they will cheat you, they will make false promises, they will not follow through on any deals you make. Bell Canada service is horrendous. They don't give you what you are promised. They over charge for the service you get. Bell Canada internet reliability is absolutely shit. You will never be able to know if your internet is actually working. Bell Canada tv reliability is even worse than their internet. If there is even one cloud in the sky you will lose tv service. Don't expect PVR to actually work. Bell Canada will provide you with equipment. The equipment they provide is cheaply made and breaks easily. We had Bell for 5 years. I've been a Bell Mobility customer since 2014. I made the immense mistake of renewing my contract with them and adding my husband to it in August 2018 (less than a year ago). I was trying to decide between Bell and another provider. During very many phone calls to Bell and visits to the Bell store, I received conflicting information and a lot of unintelligible bafflegab. (For example, some reps told me my husband's plan would be a certain amount, others told me something different, and the Bell store told me still something else.) I repeatedly tried to get clarification and then received vigorous assurance on the phone that the plan would be a certain amount -- however, the Bell store employee told me this was not correct, so I had to keep going back and forth, and got to a point where I had to start asking for employee names and IDs and writing down the exact dates/times of each call. We had to get the service set up before going on extended vacation and I was running out of time so I went ahead and signed up with them, only to find after signing up that in fact our plan was costing way more than I had been assured. I called Bell and told them I had the employee name/ID and date/time of call and insisted they look into it, but they said no, they don't do that -- so on a bizarre convoluted technicality, I was stuck with this plan that was more expensive than I'd been promised repeatedly. By then we had to leave for vacation and ran out of time to waste on this issue. About 7 months later, I received a notification that my husband's plan (attached to my account) was going to cost even more, and more recently, another notification that any overages would also cost more than the original overage cost. Even though I'm only 9 months into the contract, I'm intending to cancel the contract and pay the exorbitant cancellation fee just to be free of this endlessly frustrating situation with an unscrupulous provider that either doesn't train its employees to give accurate information or intentionally sets conditions to mislead its customers. This is nothing new with Bell Canada. Years ago I got a bill from them telling me that I owed them about $1500. I called them to dispute the bill but was told that I was billed for a breach in a contract. So I responded by saying that I didn't have a contract with them. They told me that sometime back that I agreed to a contract so I asked how was that possible since I never signed anything and I was a loyal customer for decades. They asked me if I remember receiving a phone call asking me if I would like to save money on my bill? I told them I didn't remember any call but even if I did how is that a contract? They were upset with me because I stopped their service and went somewhere else and if I cancelled within the first year of my discount then I would be off the hook. So if you verbally say yes to being asked if you want to save money you automatically are in a binding contract. That's dishonest and deceptive when you're not told openly what you're getting into. I had Bell Canada sales rep calling and selling us fiber internet to house and pkg of 3 services with promotion price only to find out that fiber to house in my region will not be available until next year. He drafted contract in such a way that we would have 50 Mb/sec up/down speed (although verbally he said it is 550 Mb/sec down) replacing my current speed of 300 Mb/sec down with 20 Mb/sec up from Rogers and convincing me that by the time they come in August 2020 to install we would have full fiber with speed of 1Gb/sec up/down. When I further inquire from technical personnel when fiber would be available, they told me not before 2021 and they told me that we will receive notification at the door when it becomes available - meaning DO NOT TRUST BELL SALES REP WHEN THEY CALL YOU! So dishonest bunch! Be careful, read contract carefully before you sign off on it! How do I select zero stars for the rating? Bell offers the worst service out there. How this company manages to stay in business is solely due to their crooked operating procedures. We had a line down over the road at our business that caused trucks picking up and delivering products to be unable to access our business for almost 2 weeks. We have called 12 times over the course of a week and half and made it clear that a cherry picker or ladder truck was required to repair the lines down. 5 technicians showed up separately over a 7 day period and all came with small Ford Transit vehicles with 10ft ladders that were clearly insufficient equipment to complete the repairs. Every tech told us that it would require a ladder truck, we responded by telling them we had told customer service what was required yet they failed to send the right vehicles/technicians. They do not show up when they say they are going to and we seem to be starting from scratch every time we pick up the phone to call as well as talking to the uninformed technicians. This is affecting our business. No business in another industry could retain customers if they operated like this, why should the telecommunications industry be any different. Absolutely abysmal customer service. I told the representative about a highly frustrating issue I've had with their hardware update service over the course of two months, and he was frigid and uncaring towards me while I did so. All in all he seemed more interested in tone policing me for *sounding* frustrated about the situation (never mind I wasn't even frustrated with him -- until *that* happened, anyways). I asked to change a hardware update order on the account a family member made by mistake, and he then insisted his hands were tied and he could do nothing to help, and that even though the thing hadn't even shipped out yet, I would have to wait an entire week to cancel the order. All in all, a frustrating, inflexible, horrible experience that left me feeling belittled and agitated for wanting to avoid a repeat of a problem that I had to wait over three weeks to resolve the first time around. I've had decent experiences with Bell customer support in the past, and usually they're pretty chill. I understand that customer service in general is a difficult job, especially during times like these, but this experience plus the tedious hardware upgrade process and its use of unreliable shipping companies (one of which didn't even provide tracking for a thousand dollar phone) has me about ready to change carriers. read more
