I wish i can give 0 stars. Don't bother with Bell or Virgin mobile they are thieves and scammers. Bell made me an offer back in black friday 2020 i get first three month free and other freebies. It took them three month to activate my sim card and when they finally did it i didn't get my offers. When i called them they said a manager has to review the call. Its been three months since then they keep disconnecting me due to non payment even though their agents keep saying that i don't have to pay since im waiting on the call review. Last time They disconnected they forced me to pay even though they still haven't reviewed the call and to top that off after i paid my sim was still disconnected and now they are saying their system is down. Horrible customer service. Their staff are not trained properly.(most staff is outsourced) You get the wrong info, every time. It's like they say whatever they thing you want to hear... But then you get the services and they don't work as expected, or billed wrong.. Just horrible. I've done bundles, mobility, and just internet. And every single time, there is a problem. I canceled my last service with to them, and was told I would get credited for the days I didn't use.( As you pay in advance) Well what they don't tell you, is when you cancel mid cycle, you lose All your promo reductions... The agent ask all my info and did credit score checked but with wrong last name . After waiting for 15 days and making at least 25 phone calls and get different info from each agent ( some so rude and unprofessional and some tried to help ) I figured out that no order submitted and I paid for nothing and eating for nothing . Then I start a process to get my money back . After talking to a very very rude agent who was telling me it's only 200 charge as if I am telling lie , I had to go to local store . So the agent there said they can't do anything for me because that was online service . Got a Great offer for $103.00/ month for fibe tv, house phone, and Fibe Internet 1.5GB/s download/ 1GB/s upload. Then today they not only cancelled, and did not show up on their end. Now they are telling me they won't honor the price (now $175/ month no exceptions), but they will charge me more for less. Best offer they gave was $115/ month for just Fibe Internet. There was no reason given, they lied to me, and then said they refuse fix the problem. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED ANYWHERE!!! Hi There, I have been with bell since roughly November. Since then my prices have raised significantly from what was promised at the beginning. I have called the customer service about 5 to 6 times and they end up promising to set the price back to the original plan and then we discover that it never happens the month after when we get the bill. I have all the calls recorded with employee IDs with all the history. I hope you can help resolve this issue with me. Bell refused to resolve our slow internet! It is dish to tower internet that worked great when first installed. Bell has now oversubscribed the service and it is down several times a day and FaceTime calls freeze. They agree this is the issue but flat out refused to do anything! I feel exhausted from dealing with Bell all day. Honestly, I am physically tired from dealing with these people and no one at their fragmented cluster fuck of a privately held corporation cares about customers or providing a reliable service. This store in particular was brutal on the phone. I am having a problem with my internet (which has worked fine since May) and it has been going on for a week. I finally relented and agreed to get a modem from them, which I wish to purchase and not rent. At 310-BELL, you cannot purchase a modem. You can only rent one. BUT... they assure me if I go to the store I can purchase one there. Great. So I call this location and speak with someone who doesn't care about my problem, which I can understand, because if I worked in retail, I would also have a hard time pretending to care about my business' customers. Actually, I probably wouldn't because that would be my job, to make sure the customers are getting what they are paying for. The man I spoke with was short, unapologetic and told me that they don't sell modems to existing customers and they would only give me a modem if I was a new customer. He said "I don't know why the people on the phone told you that and we cannot help you." The most frustrating part of dealing with Bell is that everything is is a separate entity and each of those entities finger point at eachother; nobody can help you. Nobody on the phone can help you. Nobody in the store can help you. Nobody in a Bell truck can help you. Bell is a terrible company and this store has terrible customer service, but really no poorer of service than any other Bell experiences I have had in my life. The standard Bell 1 star. read more

TL;DR: I had the worst experience ever with Bell, they never solved my problem, send me from department to department. Would recommend any other company above bell As an incoming exchange student at Queens University in Canada, I honestly had the worst experience possible with Bell as an internet provider. It started when I wanted to open an account to have Internet at home for a period of 4 months. Bell told me that I had to have a social security number, which I did not have as I'm not a Canadian resident. However, after meeting with 2 other Bell representatives I was told that this was not true and I could open my account. Sadly it didn't stop there, I signed a contract which required me to pay 69,95 CAD each month. However, each month I got charged 100+ CAD. When I contacted them to discuss this problem, they assigned a case manager who would take care of the problem and gave me a discount so I only had to pay 69,95. He assured me that he fixed the problem and I would not encounter the problem in the future. Unfortunately every next month I had the same problem, which resulted in me having a monthly call with a Bell case manager to fix my problems. When I was happy that I was able to close my account, so I wouldn't be bothered by my previous problems, other problems arose. Bell told me they would not refund my deposit of 200 CAD (which I paid for the Internet modem) as I hadn't been a customer for a long enough period (the Bell representative who sold me the contract ensured me they would refund my deposit when I closed my account knowing that I would only need the account for a period of 4 months). After a call of 3h they realized they had to refund me. I was relieved I would not have to deal with Bell anymore in the future. Nonetheless I had to contact them again as after 2 weeks I still hadn't received the deposit. After contacting them again I learned my account wasn't properly closed and they randomly changed my billing address to an address in Afghanistan, while my billing address had to be an address in Belgium. After calling them and convincing them that Belgium was a real country in Europe and not some kind of city in Alabama, I hoped the Bell saga was finished. But today I had to contact them again as apparently they lost track of the mail (which contains a cheque to receive the refund) somewhere in Canada and they had to start the process all over again. I don't know a lot about the Canadian internet provider market but I would recommend every other company above Bell. read more

I was tricked into taking a Galaxy Tablet told it was free as part of a promotion then seen charges on my bill showing I was paying monthly fees for it. I called to cancel services and explained what happened the representative kept trying to avoid canceling service. Bell Canada is using aggressive door-to-door sales tactics in the Montreal area to get people to change their service providers. I think the recent emergence of smaller providers with better prices and customer service is really hurting them, otherwise they wouldn't be this desperate. When I opened the door, the Bell representative almost barged in on me and then stood in the lobby. I politely explained that I wasn't interested, but they wouldn't leave and kept repeating talking points from their script. I mentioned that Bell has a reputation for terrible customer service and price-gouging, and he told me that was all in the past. I was considering calling the police, when he finally left. It was an unpleasant, awkward experience that made me less likely to switch to Bell. Be advised: DO NOT let a Bell representative into your house. read more

I held myself from writing this review for about 7 months. Now it's time. I would not recommend bell to anybody. I had a terrible experience. I had a loss of a $3000 phone. Last year, I asked bell to place an order for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 phone. Since the beginning to the end they made mistakes. The first time ordering the phone, the agent messed up my order. (I ordered the phone through their customer service number *611) The agent, she proceeded with ordering my phone without asking me which color I had wanted. I asked her to select the "Mystic Bronze" and she had already placed the order before I had finished. So she just assumed I'd want black and not any other colour. So she did not ask for my colour preference. I had to wait for quite sometime before I could call them back, to place another order. I call Bell after sometime and they said I can't order a new phone as I have already ordered. I told them I asked to cancel immediately when the agent placed my order and explained how I wanted the Mytic Broze color especially not black. I explained how the agent told me that she had send a cancellation request immediately. The agent told me that there was no cancellation submitted and could not be submitted within 24 hours so I have to call back. I waited then called back and asked to reorder again. Then after some time my phone arrives. Finally! I was very excited. After a few days go by, I decide to return the phone as I was not satisfied with my purchase as they have a return policy. So I made my decision to send it back. I boxed up the phone back and shipped it through Canada post. It took bell a very long time to receive the phone apparently. I kept myself patient understanding that it could be taking time due to covid 19 circumstances. I missed my charger in the box when I had send my phone. Whoops! One day I called for a follow up if they received it or not because it been a long time. They told me there was missing components so they will send it back to me (I knew it was the charger I had forgotten to put back into the box with the phone). I asked bell if there was a way I could just send the charger back instead of them sending the phone back or even pay extra for the charger. They refused and said I will have to put it back into the box once I receive the package and then ship it back to them. Almost a month goes by and I still have not received the phone. I called and requested for a tracking number numerous times, it was so frustrating because they said they did not know what the new tracking would be when they ship it. It made no sense to me. I told them I would be travelling soon and I do not want to miss my package. I kept my patience and called every week or so. I did not hear back anything from Bell. It came to my flight day. I started to panic if they decide to send my phone when I'm gone. I started having all these thoughts, that what if they ship it and someone steals it from my door as I live in an apartment building. My mailbox is always open and might be shared with another person. It could easily be stolen. I called bell multiple times at different airports, speaking to them about my concerns. Still they were clueless what the tracking number was, nobody gave me the tracking number or tried to find it for me. A few of the agents I spoke to, gave me the satisfaction that I should not worry, they should not just leave it at the door. I was still very worried and nervous. Of course, I had to be. How can I not be worried about a $3000 phone. It's not a normal phone. The last call, an agent said he will return my call in half an hour. He took my information and I did not receive a single call. I tried my very best. They failed to provide me with a tracking number or obviously cared enough about my concerns to get in touch with the Canada post about my delivery. I arrived back to Regina, shortly within couple of weeks. I call back bell to figure out what's going on with my phone. I get told different things each call. An agent (this girl) she tells me not to worry, the phone is still in the warehouse and has not been send yet. Then I call again and an agent tells me that my phone will be on its way and should get to me soon. I asked to speak to the manager numerous times. Nobody let's me speak to the manager. It was exhausting because I have had to re explain my story about a million times and when I say this, I'm not even joking. So many times I had to repeat myself to every new agent and they would not give it to the supervisor or manager and they say they will help me. They listen then give my a number and say call this department. Trust me, I call every number they had given me and that person would re direct me to a different number. They give me false hopes, fake answers, and they do not help. They are absolutely clueless. It was at that point. I am so sick and tired of this, it was draining. After 4 months of battling over a returned phone and being assured that everything has been resolved. I called only to find out that I am not eligible for an upgrade because that returned phone was never updated at the warehouse as received. I've logged over a dozen calls with everyone from front line staff, to the "executive billing" department (which was supposed to be the "highest" level) and nothing was resolved. I was promised every time that it has been resolved, and assured it was "taken care of" only to be disappointed, time and time, again. The phone service itself was decent (like all other providers, I'm sure). If you ever experience a problem with billing, phones, or if you need to call the customer service department, you're screwed. I will share one point interest for all of you, if you call enough, your call supposedly gets escalated to the higher departments. Don't let that fool you though, they're as useless as the front line staff when it comes to getting results. I would avoid Bell at all costs! There are no advantages with going with them, for any of their services. The industry is heavily regulated, prices are the same all over, phone service is the same, save yourself the aggravation and increased blood pressure. Just go with someone else. read more

I feel like I am lying to the readers of this review by giving one star, but zero stars is not an option. I got the cheapest cell phone plan, they gouged me. I moved, they wanted $50 to change my number. I told them I wanted to buy out my contract. $41, fine. I was put on hold, then sent to another rep. She asked why i wanted to cancel, I said I was not discussing it and that I just wanted to cancel. She told me that she could not cancel my contract until I told her why. I made it *****VERY CLEAR**** that it was my *right* as a consumer to cancel at anytime, this is provincial law and that I owed her no explanation whatsoever. The fact that she said that to me is illegal and predatory. How many other people have been goaded into telling her so that she can talk them out of it? I was waiting until the END of the contract to get out of it, but the incessant gouging got so bad, I was happy to pay the $41 just to get the hell away from them. I have a good Internet deal with them. $45 w-tax, unlimited. When that deal ends in 8 months and it shoots back up, I am out the door, and they better think twice before they hardass me about it when it time to cancel. I will not tolerate it for a second. DO NOT TRUST BELL SALESMEN here's my experience with Bell: I got bell last month because there was a deal for my building, I wanted to get hooked up by the end of the month because I already paid TekSavvy for that month, but the Bell salesman assured me that TekSavvy would reimburse me the amount because "you only pay what you use" (that's what he said). TekSavvy didn't refund my month because they say it's a "prepaid" service, I called Bell and they said there's nothing they can do about it. I wish I could give this company a minus 10 rating. They are the worse company I have ever dealt with. I ordered a new phone (Note 20 ultra 512 GB variant), I was told to make a deposit of $500.00. I said okay. It took me over a week trying to figure out how to make the deposit. Its like I was begging them to take my money. Every time I called I was transferred. They were giving me the run around. I finally was able to make the deposit and realized if this was how they were before I became a customer, how would they be after. I promptly cancelled the phone and asked for a refund. This was August 24th. Its October 6th and I still haven't gotten my money back yet. I have been given the run around so many times. Always an excuse. The last guy told me I would get my money back at the end of September. Its the 6th of October and nothing. I just spoke to them again and this time the woman apologized saying that she didn't know why the refund was not done and that she did it now. I was offered a package when I first moved into my condo for 146. I was later offered a package for 126 that bell commuter to honour for two years, but only five months later I was shocked to find that Bell was automatically withdrawing 256 dollars from my account. It seems they had removed the credits from my statement without sending me any kind of notification via email Or phone. After dealing with 4 separate individuals from their loyalty team, no one could do anything to credit the money and they had no remorse for the situation. They said they would lower my bill and let me keep my current plan (which included 7 GB data) so that I wouldn't cancel my plan with them for another company that was offering a better plan for cheaper. A neighbour's mobile phone (iPhone 7) has not been been able to make or receive calls for 2 days, so I tried calling Bell support on her behalf. After being on hold for an hour and 1 minute, a new message stated that "due to technical reasons we cannot answer your call at this time. Please call back at another time". (It made me glad that I am with Rogers). While on hold, I tried to use online chat, but that wouldn't work. The site offered a #2030 number, but stated that would cost $4.99 (Maybe that was why they kept me on hold so long. Hoping I would get frustrated enough to pay for support to find out why their service wasn't working). Horrible service in Ottawa. 1 bar and constant missed calls. I live in west end Ottawa and most of my calls never come through. On the other side of the line it rings, so people are thinking I am ignoring them. These missed calls do not show up on my phone. The problem started when I noticed random voicemails pop up and people saying they called me multiple times in a day. Bell has concluded their investigation and found poor service in my area (Bayshore, Britannia). This has been a known problem for years and they plan to start construction on a new tower in a years time. I spoke with back office and was told I missed a total of 9 calls on a Saturday a few weeks ago. Bell is now giving me the run around when I ask for re-reimbursement. read more

My husband and I updated our old phones. We were told that the upgraded phones will be $480.00 to be paid at time of purchase and credited back to our next Bell bill. We also were given a " free" tablet and would cost just $15.00 a month for the extra 2 megabytes it comes with and the extra bytes can be used on our phones. Honestly, I have never seen so much incompetence as with Bell staff. I don't know where they hire people, but it looks like they really go for the bottom of the barrel... They were supposed to install phone and internet last week. I took a day off and waited for a technician all day, he never showed up. I called next morning, they told me there is no order, then they found the order apologized and rescheduled. Yesterday, the technician showed up at 2pm (he was supposed to be during 8am-12pm) timeslot. He told us everything is working (and it was) and left. Today we don't have neither phone nor internet. I spent 3 hours on the phone with 3 different people at Bell (all with broken English) and neither is able to resolve the issue. I downloaded yelp just to post this review.. I went into Bell last September, and was told that I could have an additional 2Gs of data should I add a tablet to my plan. After an overcharge on my account, I see that the additional 2Gs had never been added, and I was incurring substantial overcharges each month, plus the $15 fee for the tablet. I was told that the "bonus" was accidentally taken off of my account, and that there was nothing that could be done to rectify this issue. I've now had hundreds of additional dollars charged to my account due to a mistake on your end. After speaking with a representative, I was told that there was nothing that could be done, and nobody else I could speak with regarding this issue I will have you know that I am extremely dissatisfied, and hugely regret my decision to switch to Bell. read more

I want to give a minus rating if there is such a thing. Bell is the worst service anybody can ever imagine! They have a different amount on the bill every month and every month my husband has to call them asking what is the increase. Most of the time, they agree to take the extra charges off, but why they put them there to start with?! I think they hope you do not notice the changes, that way you pay more. Not trustworthy company at all. For other services, I often set a direct payment from my bank account, but for Bell, we would never do that!
