As a long time patient I would like to express my disappointment in this office under the new…read moremanagement. I brought up a concern at my cleaning that my front filling was feeling disconnected from the real tooth. They said they would get a quote from my insurance and would get back with me. A month passed and I heard nothing. My filling fell out a little over a month after the cleaning I brought the concern up at. When they got me in the chair, bib on, I mentioned bringing this up at my last cleaning and never heard back with a quote from insurance. The main dentist said she would check up front and see if they had it. The blonde receptionist came back and expected me to pay a portion of the filling since they hadn't heard from insurance. Taken aback I felt pressured and harassed and the receptionist had no problem telling me "Dr. Rosenbaum isn't here anymore and we're running the office differently." Having no choice since I had a hole in my tooth, I paid the portion and continued with the filling. The next day I contacted my insurance and found out they had sent back a quote and that I would not owe anything. I called the dentist and had to send them the quote from my insurance via email and was told I would be refunded the portion I had to front. I allowed more than two weeks and had not received the refund. I had to confront the office in person to get the refund back on my card that they claimed they had put on there three weeks back. Fast forward another month, I get a bill in the mail from this office for the full amount of the filling. My insurance said they hadn't heard anything from this office since my cleaning and the office claimed they had sent in the ADA. The situation has now been resolved after I sent in the ADA myself into my insurance. This is a lengthy review but I feel current and future patients should be aware of what happened to me. After 10 years, I will not be back. I miss Dr. Rosenbaum and her team. They really cared about their patients and this new team does not. They only see dollar signs.

I deducted one star because the hygienist struggled with the X-ray receptor holder and initially declined help when it was offered. Dental X-rays are already challenging for me, and because of the difficulty with the holder, I had to repeat some of the images once assistance was finally accepted. That made the process more uncomfortable than it needed to be. Another concern involved a brief interaction at the front desk. I asked how long the business had been at that location. The staff member began to say it had been about two years when someone else cut him off and stated that it had been there for 20 years. After looking into it later, it appears the practice itself has been at that location for 20+ years, but the current operators are not the original or current owners. The response felt technically correct but didn't really address the spirit of what I was asking. He really didn't need to interrupt a conversation he was not a part of for that disingenuous answer. I also noticed that the sinks in the individual bays did not have running water, which initially made me think the office might be undergoing renovations and is what prompted my question about how long the location had been operating. Additionally, I had to ask for the take-home toothbrush bag and they did graciously assembled one for me. In my experience, receiving a toothbrush, floss, travel toothpaste and sometimes travel mouthwash is typically standard after a cleaning. Overall, the experience was probably what you would expect from a same-day, walk-in dental facility ( which I did make a same day appointment) or a newer office. The staff were kind and professional, but there were a few small details that could be improved to make the visit smoother and more consistent with typical dental office expectations. Overall, the experience was about what you would expect from a same-day walk-in dental facility, a dental school clinic (though I have never been to one), or a newly licensed dentist starting out. I will take some time over the next few months to research and select what I hope will be my long-term dentist. I will also add that they offer a gift card to a fast-food place if you write a review in the office before you leave. I don't believe that compensated reviewers are honest in their reviews, so I declined.
