They offer the classes seasonly across all 3 of their studios (Fairfax, Mosaic, and Alexandria). Wiggletoes was a very foundational class and the teacher, Ms. Jennifer, made every week so fun! She was so warm and engaging. There was a different theme each week which went along beginner ballet moves, storytime, and acting out the story time. The class was only up to 6 children so it didn't feel crowded and each child had enough time for all of the activities. As the parent, you're also expected to be next to your child and engage in a few of the activities which made it fun for bonding. We didn't opt in, but they also host a seasonal recital as well. We were able to purchase the leotard, tutu, and ballet shoes through the studio, which made everything super easy. Unfortunately, my toddler didn't end up loving ballet but I really enjoyed our experience here and the quality time we had together through our weekly classes.

Our teacher Miss Holly is especially adept at dealing with young children, some who have never been in a classroom setting before. She rolls with the punches, makes things fun and the creativity she brings into each lesson is outstanding. Every class is incorporated with a story time + gorgeous, high quality costume. Seeing what they put together has become a highlight of my week. We unfortunately do not have classes right now because #socialdistancing but my daughter has still been applying what she learned at home. She loves to "tendu" all around the house and on our walks.

I didn't realize that these were part of ballroom dancing until I arrived. I found this place via MeetUp, and they had offered to introduce me to their class. The class: It was about 1 hour long, and I felt completely at home. It was an introductory class where we learned the basics of ballroom dancing. I love how the "leads" have to ask the "followers" out for a dance prior to dancing with them. The whole experience was met with tons of smiles, laughter, and memories. And I can see why! It can be addicting once you get the hang of it! The music was great and the teacher was so energetic she made you want to give it your all. A one time guest pass was $20 but for a week or for several classes, the pass is $40. Therefore it is way more worth it to do the week or several class pass than the single pass. By the end of the class, I was sweating up a storm and feeling all the endorphins. Next time I would definitely do the week pass and come several times. Regardless of how a manager thinks a service is done people are usually paid for their work. I don't understand what city, state or country where people work for free unless you are volunteering. In the future maybe telling an employee that you don't have the money to pay them would suffice. In the state of Virginia they are mandated laws that prevent this from happening. There are only 72 hours for an employer to pay an employer when they resign. As of right now these laws are being broken.

In several of the days worked I risked my life going through the snow storm to help her company and was often yelled for not being able to get to work. On behalf of me, close friends/family of mine, the lack of clarity around the payment and contract has led me to resign as her assistant. It's disappointing that she can't rise above and pay me given that she fired every one of her assistants before hiring me. Im unsure of whether of whether it's a money issue as she recently paid for several plane tickets to a flight to France in the upcoming weeks. But, if you are wanting to work with her please be careful as she is not always honest and you may not get paid, which is relatively concerning.
