We had the best experience at Bella Ballroom. We knew we had our challenges since I have a bad memory & my spouse says he has two left feet. But Mallory made the experience so enjoyable. She's extremely friendly, clear and will find what works with just about anyone. We couldn't imagine even learning the box step & now we have a whole routine that we've learned. Practicing the wedding dance has actually been my favorite part of the whole wedding process. We'll definitely be back to learn, even after the wedding. Thanks again Mallory! You're the BEST!

We did 5 dance classes total with Nick to practice for our first dance and he's a great instructor! We said we wanted a first dance that didn't feel too choreographed and wasn't too difficult to learn but that would still impress and he nailed it. We've got a few fancy moves in there but overall it still feels very "us". I can't wait to show off at our wedding! We would definitely recommend Nick and Bella Ballroom!

We had the best experience working with Thomas for our first dance. We signed up for his 10-class package with absolutely no prior dance experience (not even casually at concerts or clubs), and somehow walked away feeling so confident and prepared. Thomas is incredibly friendly, warm, and knowledgeable. He created such a comfortable environment for us to learn, which made a huge difference since we were starting from zero. My husband actually hates dancing, but it made me so happy to see him enjoying it because of Thomas. What really stood out was how intentional he was about preparing us not just for the choreography, but for the actual wedding day environment. He coached us on how to adapt to visual and auditory distractions, which is something we never would have considered. Even though we still ended up feeling a bit overstimulated in the moment (which was maybe inevitable LOL), we felt so much more aware and grounded because of Thomas. Initially, we told Bella Ballroom that we were okay with any instructor, but we felt extremely lucky to be paired with him. Truly grateful for Thomas and couldn't recommend him more to any couple looking to feel confident and supported going into their first dance. Thank you, Thomas :,)!!

Thank you to Nick at Bella Ballroom! Thanks to him, our first dance went off perfectly! He took someone like me who is not a dancer, and not comfortable dancing and made it fun and helped my wife and I find the perfect dance to go with our song. While we started at Bella for our wedding, we are making plans to go back for some country dancing and maybe even some salsa. I recommend Bella to anyone who is learning to dance or maybe just needs some help with choreography for their event. Their instructors work to find the moves that are right for you. We will see you guys again soon!

This review is a bit overdue, but we wanted to send Thomas a huge thank you for creating our first dance. I grew up dancing, while my husband did not, so he was very nervous and unsure whether we'd be able to pull off a choreographed dance. From the first time we met Ryss to every class we had with Thomas, everyone at Bella Ballroom showed true passion for what they do and made us feel comfortable from day one. We signed up for 10 classes with Thomas, and despite all the stress that comes with wedding planning, our dance lessons became something we genuinely looked forward to each week. They were our favorite midweek date night and kept us happy, connected, and sane throughout the process. Thomas was friendly, accommodating, and supportive. He guided us through every movement and challenged us in ways that felt both comfortable and fun. During our final sessions, he paid attention to even the smallest details (which I loved) and offered thoughtful advice we never would have expected. We had the incredible privilege of celebrating our wedding in Bali, and it was such a special moment to bring everything we had worked on to life. We are so grateful to Thomas and the entire team for helping us create a memory we'll cherish forever.

Lessons with Nick

We found Nick while searching for someone to help us prepare a dance for our wedding, and from the very first meeting, we were impressed. He took the time to understand where we were starting from and built everything from there. We came in with little to no ballroom experience, and he guided us all the way to confidently learning spins, wall steps, and even lifts... things we never imagined we'd be able to do! Nick is an incredible teacher, he is patient, encouraging, and genuinely fun to be around. Every lesson is something we look forward to. We highly recommend Bella Ballroom and Nick's instruction. Thank you, Nick!

A huge shoutout to Bella Ballroom and their incredible team--especially our dance instructor, Maddie--for choreographing the first dance of our dreams From the sweetest receptionist to the talented instructors (Kai and Mallory) and even the owner, every single person was so kind, patient, and uplifting. You can truly feel how much they care about their couples. My husband and I are definitely not routine dancers, but Bella Ballroom made us feel so comfortable and confident every step of the way. They work with all experience levels and teach at your own pace, making sure you not only learn the dance--but actually enjoy the process. Forever grateful for helping us create such a special moment we'll cherish for a lifetime

We had the best experience with Nick! He made our wedding first dance amazing and worked with us every step of the way to create something that felt natural, fun, and uniquely ours. He listened to what we wanted, adjusted as needed, and made every lesson fun. Our first dance turned out exactly how we envisioned it and became such a special memory. Thank you, Nick, for helping make our day unforgettable. We'll miss seeing you! Highly recommend!

We wanted to do a first dance at our wedding, but neither of us knew how to dance (our stiff bodies didn't help ). We found Bella Ballroom on Yelp and decided to give it a try. We met Kendall at our first lesson, and she taught us simple moves that actually felt doable, so we signed up for five sessions. Kendall was patient, encouraging, and did a great job choreographing our dance to our song. You still need to put in a little effort and practice at home, but she made everything easy and stress-free. After five sessions, we felt confident--and even got lots of compliments from family and friends. Highly recommend Bella Ballroom and Kendall!

The families welcomed us in with open arms, the dancers support each other and the teachers support each other. I believe this starts from the top down with the ownership and management. Paula is extremely hands on with the teachers, students and families. And it shows. She doesn't care just about their dancing but cares about their character as an individual. The quality of the teaching staff is exceptional; with the primary focus on technique. But they continue to grow and expand their teaching and choreography styles. They treat the kids as the individuals they are and unify them as a team as well. In the current COVID-19 environment everything has been moved online. The entire staff has been energetic and motivating. They have provided a sense of stability in an unstable environment for our kids. Every week the teachers take time with each kid just to check in and see how they are doing. If you want a positive, creative and safe environment for your child to experience dance than I would recommend West Coast.

I am constantly blown away by the talent and reach of the staff who is well rounded on style, technique, and has a proven track record of developing dancers to the highest levels. They take an interest in the dancers personally and have created a community our whole family enjoys being a part of. They way that the business pivoted during the Covid-19 shutdown is remarkable! They quickly acclimated to virtual while keeping the positive attitude and commitment to excellence we've come to expect from them. When we first started at WC I would not have imagined that dance would become such a high value for us, but because of our West Coast experience it is something we eagerly remain connected to and proud to be a part of! I could go on and on about the costumes, the wins, the opportunities, the conditioning that keeps the dancers safe, the communication, etc...Even my sons have taken classes and loved it! I would give them 100 stars if I could!

As with any group class, give yourself some space to try a few different teachers until you find the one(s) you enjoy the most! The owner, Shawn, and desk staff are friendly and helpful; always happy to answer questions about levels, styles, and instructors. My go to is Arianna Hyatt. She teaches well rounded true to level classes (read the class description and know thyself). She motivates and encourages dancers to meet their goals, whether that is fun, fitness, training for an audition, getting back to dance after a hiatus, or perhaps all of the above. She provides a supportive environment while offering technique, structure, and a little challenge - if that is what you're after. The community she's cultivated within every class is palpable. If you're a beginning/intermediate or advanced level dancer, looking for ballet, broadway, or tap, definitely check the schedule for her. (Double check the level as she teaches a variety.) If you're on the fence, I'd say find any class that interests you at the studio and give it a try!

Long story short: I had an indescribably unpleasant and discouraging experience at the beg/int tap…read moreclass with Arianna. She was not welcoming, was late to the class, and did not give me the chance to even try tapping before she completely ignored me for the entire class session. Long story long: I've had dance training with Broadway choreographers and performers (just not in tap), and never would they be so unprofessional and rude to a newer dancer. This was my first time trying Afterhours, I had gone with a friend (with prior tap experience and classes taken at this studio) and we booked two classes, back to back. Beg/int Broadway Jazz class straight into beg/int tap. Arianna, who instructed both classes this night, arrived late and complained about the studio space we were in. Yikes. Not a great first impression as a new dancer at this studio. After this class, I put my tap shoes on and my friend quickly walked me through some basics of tap. Just with a side-eye from the corner of the room, she came up to me and said "this is not the space for you, I will go get you your money back before you take this class. I will let you stay, but this is not the class for you." Understandable, but after SO GRACIOUSLY!!!! allowing me be in the room with only 5 other dancers, she ignored me the entire class, despite me catching onto and being able to pick up what she was teaching. She had condescendingly recommended another instructor at the studio, but with a tone as if the instructor was subordinate to her. The most frustrating part was that she was very slowly and deliberately helping another dancer in the room, who was also a beginner. It was rude to me and not conducive to a welcoming environment for growing artistry, whether I was refunded or not. I spoke with Shawn after the class and she mentioned knowing that Arianna is short with her words and they had a similar situation with another dancer last week. If you knew this hostile behavior is happening at your studio, how could you let that continue? She also gave an excuse of a disclaimer being on the description of the class. 1) it was hard to find 2) even if someone has/hasn't "mastered" a certain level of dance, why are you fully shutting someone out of your learning space? It is apparent in the class attendance the success, or lack of, rather, at this studio. I truly hope that no other dancer experiences what I did at Afterhours, and that this behavior from any instructor is corrected. I was given my money back and a free pass for another class at the studio, but I honestly do not trust either of those ladies that I dealt with at the establishment to recommend me any other class there.
