I have been going to Cindy for eyelash extensions for the past few months and fully intend to continue seeing her for her skill, listening skills regarding my wants, and the ways in which she goes the extra mile. I have had eyelash extensions before and the experience was at times uncomfortable. Cindy has a very steady hand so it never feels as if she is tugging on my eyelids or eyelashes. She listens very intently to the look I'm going for and is always happy to adjust the size of the lashes to what I'm wanting. Cindy has a very comfortable table for me to lay on, offers a blanket if I'm chilly, and wraps my hands in shea butter and puts them in warmers. This is an incredibly relaxing experience, much like a massage, and at times I fall asleep which is shocking considering someone is working on my eyelashes which are very sensitive. This was my first experience with getting eyelash extensions - and Cindy did a *fantastic* job. She explained all of the steps she was taking during the process and made sure that I knew what was going on during the session. She was also very good about explaining how to care for the extensions afterward to prolong their life. I have typical Asian eyes - epicanthic fold, stick straight lashes. Cindy made sure to match the length/type of lashes to what I had. She could have gone with longer lashes, but understood that the length would have to be limited due to my glasses. They felt a bit weird at first, but not any more odd than fake lashes. In fact, they were way more comfortable than falsies. My lashes looked fantastic! I didn't need to use mascara for a month and they held up really well - in fact, I went sailboating just a few hours after my session and not a single lash was out of place after being in thrashing winds for half a day. Miss Cindy is such a pleasant woman with excellent skills. I absolutely love her! Before going to see her, I had been going to a questionable salon that offered a Groupon to get my eyelashes done. I decided to start seeing Cindy because the other salon was about 30 minutes from my home and Bella Bella is significantly closer. Turns out, the previous salon had done a horrific job with the extensions. Cindy had to remove almost all of the lashes that I had on because they were placed so poorly. In the removal, she was so gentle; I was shocked! The place that I had previously been would carelessly and painfully yank out the extensions during fills. She took time and care in the process and I absolutely loved the result. At the previous salon I had visited, I would leave with tears streaming down my face due to the fumes of the lash glue. During one visit, I sat in my car for TWENTY minutes waiting for the fumes to subside so that I could keep my eyes open long enough to drive home. Cindy told me that she always makes absolutely sure that you don't experience ANY irritation from the fumes. She was right! I never noticed any trace of irritation. In addition to excellent service, she is a kind and humble woman that is lovely to speak with. I felt like more of a friend than a customer. I highly, highly recommend going to see Cindy. I had a good run with Cindy doing my lashes since June of 2016. I never missed an appointment, I showed up on time, I was a good client who tipped well. However, things came to a screeching halt this December when Cindy decided to cancel my appointment without the courtesy of a discussion based on her determining I was too sick from one of my Facebook posts. When asked, she claimed it was because the lashes wouldn't take when I was sick. So, apparently she is not only a lash specialist; but, she also has her M.D.? She had no idea if I even had a temperature and her assertion the lashes would not take was not accurate based on discussions I had with other lash technicians including the one I go to now. Instead, Cindy didn't want to get sick. I think an open and honest approach would have been better served. She seemed to care little about how her canceling my appointment would have on my lash schedule. Anyone who gets lashes done knows you need to be diligent with your appointments or you will be forced to do a full set. Full set = more money. So, after pressing Dr. Cindy on when she would fit me it, she proposed the following Saturday. She acted inconvenienced by my wanting to get in as soon as possible. I had the opportunity to get in sooner at Studio One; but, I felt loyal in giving Cindy my business. Come Saturday, I messaged Cindy wondering if my appointment was gong forward as planned at 5:15 based on the snow storm. I heard from her at around 1:30 after she serviced other clients, likely not canceled on because they were sick, advising she was shutting down. This is now two appointments missed getting me closer to needing a full set. While I know Cindy cannot control the weather, it would have been professional to try and work me in that Saturday based on her independently canceling my prior appointment. As a paying customer, I felt compelled to express to her my disappointment on how my scheduling was handled and if you looked at her online booking site, you would see why. You simply cannot get in. This is exactly why I book so far in advance and become disappointed when I cannot get in. To my surprise when I, as a paying customer, texted Cindy with my disappointment, she became ugly, rude and aggressive. Specifically, she labeled me as playing a victim and said I came across very self-centered. Wait? What? I am the client, right? Even if you think those things, you do not share them with a paying client. Of course I am self-centered, I have missed two appointments and was forced to pay for a full set because you decided to cancel on me because you didnt want to get sick (and lied about that) and then did not consider me, with a missed appointment to be a priority, only to cancel on me again. Victim? Self-centered? Um, it is called a customer who pays dearly for a service you couldn't deliver. That's bad business and not professional. My current lash technician agreed it is shabby business relations with clients and she got me in easy peasy. And, she was able to give me a standing appointment so I do not have to beg and plead for an appointment. So, she lost a client, a friend and a referral. Sure, if you want a cheap set of lashes go here; but, if you want them maintained without the technician getting ugly on your when you express disappointment - don't go here. No customer service skills whatsoever. I could not be more disappointed which is sad because in her defense, she does good work. Shame on you Cindy. If you want to keep business, be professional.
