I've been going to see Lana and then Katie for a while now. They are both very kind. I wasn't ever that interested in eyelash extensions. It seemed so expensive, until someone suggested I try it out before my wedding. I thought It would be a one-time experience for my wedding day but the entire experience was so great. I'm genuinely disappointed. I signed up to be a "model" for a "free classic set" they offered on Instagram. This was false advertising. It was NOT a full set and I was not a model, I was guinea pig for a new staff member in training who took 3 hours to give me a clump of lashes in the middle of my eye. She was not even supervised and she didn't ask me anything about the shape or style I was looking for. My natural lashes were completely sticking out through the extensions, the lashes were uneven and curving inward. I had them removed by my new lash tech and she was shocked when I told her I had only had them on for 3 days. She said they looked like I was wearing them for 4 weeks because there was barely anything there. Leaving 2 stars instead of 1 because the established lash techs seem to do good work, but be warned. Nothing is ever really free and this certainly wasn't worth the 3 hours I wasted. read more

If you've been getting lashes done for any time at all you KNOW how hard that is to find. Im talking "Needle in the haystack" hard. Right from the first visit however I was 100% delighted and I can assure you that NEVER happens for me. I've been getting extensions done every single week for the past year at other places here in Oregon and in So California and I can say without question that Svetlana's lashes last the longest and look beautiful the whole time. Due to oily skin and my use of Latisse I usually have had to do a fill every single week which was costing me about $300 a month back in Palm Springs. With Svetlana it's every THREE weeks for only $90 (with tip) - huge difference in price and freedom. Svetlana is also very friendly, her studio is adorable, and there is easy parking right on site. Lana is truly a hidden gem! I am so thankful a coworker of mine shared who her lash person is because I have been to SO many all over Portland and was never happy. From previous experiences, by week two, my lashes were barely hanging on and I seriously just thought that's how it was supposed to be for my lashes. I just told myself maybe it's because I have short Asian lashes, yada yada. From the very first visit with Lana, my lashes were so full still by the end of week three that I really didn't even need a fill yet! I was amazed at the retention and how well my lashes were done. I came in and mentioned I was getting eyelash extensions done for a vacation in a couple of weeks and wanted my makeup look to be low-key while I was gone. I've never had lashes before so I wanted to make sure I liked them and was comfortable wearing them before I left. I proceeded to get my classic lashes put on and it took 2.5 hours, which was a long time but I've never done this before so I don't have anything to compare it to. Once done, I asked her about getting a fill before I left and she said that they were closing the salon for two weeks, so I could either come in a week after my first appointment or wait until after I got back (which would be 4-5 weeks after my initial appointment.) I wish this information had been relayed to be at the beginning of my appointment. I spent a lot of money for this to be done so my lashes would look nice, and had I known this, I would not have chosen to not get lashes before I left. To be clear, my lashes look amazing and I have received several compliments on them in the last couple of days, so that's not the issue. I just wish I had been told that they were going to be gone for two weeks, it put a really bad taste in my mouth that this wasn't shared before my appointment and instead after they had already been done. I feel like I dumped 200 bucks down the drain, so I found a different salon that I will be going to moving forward. Also, they desperately need a sign on their door that says their front door really needs a strong pull to be opened. I got quite a bit of resistance when I tried to open the door and I assumed it was locked. I called their phone number to see if someone could come unlock it and didn't get a response. Thankfully, someone heard me and opened the door for me. When I was leaving, the exact same thing happened to the woman who was getting their lashes done after me. She called them, too! I just think that would be super helpful to know, so you don't think you're getting stood up. read more
