I had Bella Blue Water for over 2 years on two houses. The pool was never cleaned in my opinion they spilled tons of chemicals around my decking which caused the concrete to erode. The service man literally had a 12 to 13 year old boy with him cleaning my pool. They nickel and dime you for fees and then have the audacity to send you a price increase while a day later saying expect your pool to possibly turn green from chemical shortages. This company is a complete joke. I hired a new service provider, saved $600 a year and my pool is looking gorgeous. BAD BAD BAD and stay away if you want to protect your pool. I am a local real estate broker and I can't say enough about Mario with Bella Blue Pools. He was most helpful yesterday pointing out the issues with a seller's pool pump (which originally stemmed from the leak which was fixed by the sellers). Mario encouraged the sellers (on behalf of my buyers) to call their warranty company first to see if it's covered (which they hadn't thought of) versus Bella Blue Pools making the repairs. Thank you Mario! He did a great job helping us solve a sales hurdle - and it was a big one. I would encourage ANYONE to call/use Bella Blue pool maintenance service in the future for two example reasons - 1. The sellers current pool man convinced the sellers that their pool pump "was fine and working well - it's just a loud model" vs. the reality of "hey, this thing is struggling to survive here, and in fairness, the right thing to do is make the proper repair since the leak caused the problem to being with". 2. When Mario was questioned by the sellers about light replacements and pool pump replacement costs, both of his prices were substantially less than what the seller was being quoted for repairs by their current pool man (thus making them hesitant to want to repair it in the first place). Initially, Mario replaced all my equipment Feb 2016 and installation was flawless. I hired him to do my regular pool maintenance. Again excellent service. On 5/13/16 I met with Mario to replaster and retile my pool and bbq area. Work began on 5/16 and was finished on 5/20!!! The pool is beautiful and the mini pebble is fabulous. The new new tile is awesome. From demolition, cleaning, electrical, concrete cutting, plaster, tile, and landscape work that was done the process was easy, quick and perfect. I have worked with dozens of contractors/vendors and have constantly been let down by unreliable workers and average/poor results. So I was skeptical when I called Bella Blue Water to fix 3 lights in my pool/spa. Wow - what a fantastic experience. I called and spoke with Mario at 10am and he had a crew at my house by 1pm. They did a thorough review to determine what was needed for the repairs. A few minutes later they returned with parts and completed the repairs in less than 1 hour. While doing the repairs they learned only 2 of the lights were broken; the third was simply loose. I was sure it was broken; it would have been easy to take advantage of the situation and bill me for repairing all 3 lights, but instead they only billed me for the 2 lights that needed repairs. We choose NOT to retain Mario, as he refused to modify his written Service Agreement to guarantee weekly sweeping, vacuuming and skimming. He was only willing to "provide" these service "as needed". Based on my 20+ years of dealing with pool companies, this means my pool won't get swept or vacuumed on a regular basis! What it really means is ONCE a MONTH (if I'm lucky!) I requested this "retail price" service WEEKLY, with our bi-weekly service. It was denied! Mario's story was he didn't like changing his agreement, but would rather have us "try him for a month". NO WAY, this is the time the normally EXCEL, then drop down afterwards. Why not agree to my request, if he truly provided such "great service". UPDATE 8/17/18 Mario is now a liar as he never asked me to get a leak detector to test the pool. I was specifically told there were no problems with the pool. I had to hire a leak detector after a plumber could not find out what was leaking inside the house. That is just the problem, there is nothing leaking inside of the house, rather the pools auto fill is broken and continuously leaking and Mario is telling me it is not within his scope to let me know that my auto fill is leaking. If that is the case then they would not have come out and looked for leak rather said we don't know how to tell if there's a problem with the pool. This leak has now gone on two months longer than it should have because instead of Mario telling me he has unable to look for leaks regarding the pool, I was told directly & specifically that the pool had no problems! For me, I noted that their customer service turned to shit after my ex moved out last year and now I was the one dealing with them. I have since talked to my ex about this problem and he says that we also had a problem one other time in regards to Bella blue water refusing to care for the auto fill properly. Also I would like to mention that I was there and heard with my ears directly when the pool guy told the plumber, who is trying to look for leaks, that my pool did not use the auto fill. This was also a lie! I no longer feel competent oh and anything said by Mario or any of his employees. I very quickly found a reputable pool guy who knew just what I was talking about in regards to a leaking auto fill valve. A lot of troubles would have been saved if Mario and his team could communicate. Changing my pool guy without telling me nor giving him the instructions and a key for my side gate was also a major problem that I was upset about as due to this mishap my pool umbrella was stolen from my yard. Get it together Bella blue water! Horrible customer service! When I noticed my water bill was higher than normal, i had the gardeners check the sprinklers. There was apparently one broken sprinkler that got fixed but the next month the water bill was still high. I had Bella blue water, my pool company for eight years, check to see if this leak could possibly be coming from the pool and they told me no. Now I've got a third month with an elevated water bill and this time I decided to attempt changing all the toilet valves as I was told this is another common area for a water leak. This did not fix the matter so now I had to get Home Warranty involved who sent a plumber who then had to send a leak detector because the plumber could not find a leak anywhere in the house. The leak detector told me the leak was coming from the auto fill valve. I relayed this to Francisco (who apparently now as my representative with Bella blue water) and was told that this is not their responsibility to find where leaks are coming from that they do not have special tools. I then mentioned to him that the leak detector did not use a special tool Rather just was able to see the leak visibly with his own eyes. I then got a call from Mario who attempted to defend Francisco without simply saying, ok we'll come out and take a look. They were so hung up trying to defend why they did not notice this when I specifically asked them to please look for leaks. By now, I'm tired of the runaround with this company. They also changed pool cleaners without telling the new pool cleaner the old routine. The new pool cleaner left my gate unlocked last week and I came home to find out my pool umbrella was stolen. Think what you want but I think that Mario's successful business, that has grown quite immensely, has gone to his head and customer service is no longer his concern. This will bite him in the butt in the long run. I have already found a pool guy that cares more about what I say than trying to rebuttal me over the phone without looking at the problem first. read more

We've used Bella Blue Water for our pool service and repair for the last several years. They always arrive at their appointed time and if there is a problem, ie. extra wind, they call to tell you that the weather has slowed them down. I trust them to do all the repairs as they suggest only important maintenance and preventive care and fix only what breaks. Since they have been in charge of our pool and equipment, repairs are fewer and what they fix, stays fixed! We had our first problem a few weeks ago. They pointed out large holes in the cement in the spillway, which gets a lot of extra water action. They felt it was time to redo the stones so that water would not enter through the holes and cause damage. The job was last done over 10 years ago. The workers showed up but, by mistake only fixed the top course of rocks and completely left out the lower course with holes. When I called up to report this, they sent out a technician the next day to check it out. They then scheduled the job to be done again, this time correctly, and at their own expense. I recently selected Bella Blue Water to replace our 20-year-old pool equipment. I'm not a full-time resident and it was very frustrating to come out for a weekend of fun and have the pool and spa not in great shape or working properly. If you are in my position, you know how difficult it is to decide on what equipment to install and, more importantly, what company to use to install the equipment. I was lucky that I discovered the team at Bella Blue Water. I should first let you know that I made calls to several companies in the area, and they were not the lowest-cost bid that I received, but they had the best communication. The guys did an amazing job and did several "extras" such as digging up and repairing an old leaking gas line, then finishing the area off with new gravel and even removing old unused wiring that was hanging on the walls. The equipment area is so clean and quiet now! In the end, I made the right choice. I chose Bella Blue Water 8 years ago because of the reviews on this website and was very happy with the service. I did have the pool tile sandblasted about two years ago and the result was amazing. Contrarily, I had it done again this month and the white shadows of the deposits are still apparent. I talked to Marko about it who informed that the blasting deteriorates the time when it is done - for now I accept this answer although tedious work with a pumice stone removes more of it after the service. Having read other reviews lately, I too have not seen the tile brushed at every service as it was in the beginning which may be why we got 5 years of relatively calcium free tile for that period. My issue now is in the last few days when I cannot get through to the office because the staff is busy with other customers. Pressing all the options, which seems to be a waste of time, nets the same busy message which makes me suspect there's only one or two people at the other end to answer any option selected. I was supposed to receive a call back about my lack of pool service on Monday (it rained at 3am - bright and sunny at 8am). Even if it had been raining it would seem to me that pool service folks should not be concerned about getting wet! Anyway, Marko or Mario or someone, please call me about lack of service on Monday 26, 2021 and July 5, 2021 (am I being penalized for Monday service schedule because national holidays fall on Mondays often? I believe the employer should be responsible for paid holidays not the client - just my opinion). I hope to hear from you soon but I may have to look for another service and I'd prefer not to. Our experience with Bella Blue's pool service (in the area of Hovely Ln W) was very poor. The "guy" kept adding salt without measuring, re-affixed connectors improperly, sometimes didn't show up or showed up at odd times. They nearly wrecked our chlorine generator with poor maintenance. Bella Blue management wasn't interested in fixing their problems, saying they are "overloaded". Perhaps the people they used were failures, or management is failing. Regardless, I'm glad I fired them, and if more fire them, I wouldn't be surprised. They were wrecking my pool. If you use them, I hope your experience is better, but you should have your pool looked at and water tested by a second party - just in case. read more

Excellent customer service and very knowledgeable. We redid our pools and built a big jacuzzi with hydrazzo finish and was worried that it would be kept up. Bella Blue Water trains their pool men great and we never had a big calcium build up on the tiles. I really have to hand it to them on their customer service whenever I need something like filter changes, pool water dumped or boat bugs in my pool. My pool looks great. Not sure what is happening but the pool cleaning service has deteriorated. I used there service for 6 years and was very happy as the service was impeccable . There was a change about a year ago where I was assigned a new pool cleaner and the service has never been the same. After expressing my disappointment with the service for example pool tile not being brushed on a regular bases causing algae buildup on corners, and omitting the pool vacuum twice a week. I haven't seen any improvement...it's time to look for a new company that will listing to my needs and concerns :( read more

Mario and team were prompt, courteous and informative. We were told by another company that the only thing to save our pool was to completely drain it, sand blast and start fresh. Mario quickly explained why that wasn't the case and that each time you drain the pool, expose to the elements and remove the calcium, it shortens the life of the pool. He said we could wait at least a year to remove the calcium and we didn't have to completely drain our pool (which was great news for us & the conservation of water). He was very thorough in explaining how to correctly balance the pool chemicals and seemed genuinely interested in helping educate us. We have used Bella Blue Water for many years to care for and regularly clean our pool. They are reliable and keep the pool in perfect shape. If the equipment needs any repair, they recommend, take care of it and keep it running just fine at a reasonable price. But this week, I'm writing to talk about their customer service. My husband and I got our second COVID shot two weeks ago and our kids and grandkids were coming to visit, arriving on Monday evening for five days. The first time they have been here in a year! We were so excited. I pulled out all the floats and pool toys for the children. The forecast was beautiful, although two days before, on Saturday, a very serious wind storm came through and the pool was full of debris, bougainvillea and the water was cloudy and sandy. But the pool man was due on Monday morning, so that was fine. Except that I got a text from Bella Blue Water than our HOA gate had turned him away because it was the President's Day holiday. They said he would return the following Thursday! I needed the pool to be great for the grandkids. I called in a panic. But our regular pool man was already in La Quinta and was scheduled for the whole day. When they heard my concern, they arranged to have a technician come out to do a special clean and service early Tuesday morning. Because they went out of their way to accommodate my needs, the pool was perfect and I am enjoying the grandkids splashing away. Mario promptly returned our call, came to our home to asses the pool equipment, suggest what he thought best would accomplish our needs, fully explaining the scope of the project. You do not to go anywhere else. Being long time residents of the desert we have seen numerous pool service outfits. Some are good for awhile and as the help changes they get worse. Or, they do not pay attention to the equipment needs and maintenance being concerned with volume rather than quality. Other than our first guy who then let his son run the program and run it poorly, we have not found the right people. Our heater was on the fritz and fittings around the pump had been leaking for months and my current, now former, guy did not bother to address the problems. Mario and his crew came out promptly and evaluated. He did not try and up sell a new heater but simply repaired this one, repaired the leaks, installed new fittings, installed a new pump motor which we certainly did need and did a clean job. We just bought a house in Rancho Mirage, All of our friends raved about Mario and Bella blue water pool cleaning service. They were not the cheapest but they keep my pool immaculate. They carry Workmen's Compensation insurance on their guys, which was important to me. There are many pool companies that don't insure their guys, and that would worry me if one of their guys got hurt. The most important thing is that my pool is beautiful and clean.
