I decided to throw her an engagement party and rented a 20x30 tent and about 5 tables and chairs, as well as tablecloths. It was great being able to have them pick everything up and take the tent down. Little did I know that my daughter would, 1 year later have a wedding on the property (October 2025). GREAT! Now, we went form the little tent to a 60x tent and 100 guests! I wasn't as thrilled with the person I worked with the first time but when I spoke to Sarah, she was just amazing so for about 9 months, I worked with her. She has the patience of an angel! I ordered this, this, this, this, then that, that, that, that, and then no longer needed this or that, but wanted to add that, oh, wait, now we need this, oh, wait, now we need that! Yet, she just went right along with it. She was amazing! Basically, we ended up with the 40 x 60 tent, a dozen long tables, 100 chairs, a bar, trash cans, extension cords, and I'm sure more, but I don't recall the rest. The reason Sarah was so amazing was because even after the cut-off date, she let me add things (like the extension cords) last minute. Everything else was guaranteed, but those last minute items were only if they had them when I called last minute, whch, thankfully, they did. I will say that everything that I received from them was good quality and sturdy. I have absolutely no complaints! They brought the items early enough for us to set up and have the rehearsal and picked up it 2 days later (no one wanted to worry about it the next day). You can pay to have them set up the tables and take down the tables, but we chose to do it ourselves since we had so much help. Thank you, Sarah, for being so amazing, and allowing me to worry about one less thing.

They offered…read moreme a pillar arch which is the tall triangular arch so I went ahead and reserved it because the bride wasnt answering. Well the bride finally got back to me and didnt want the pillar one she wanted the circular arch. Well I already paid for the pillar arch. When I called this place to cancel and ask for a refund they made it so difficult. One person transferred to another then to another and everyone kept saying they didnt have the power to refund. Jim told me he couldnt refund because he already pulled the arch. The pillar is a 3 piece super light and he acted like it was so much work. I even spoke with a manager Pauline she said she doesnt have the power. I politely explained its not my fault the bride wants something else and asked as a courtesy if they could make an exception because I always rent from them. In fact i refer them to a lot of people looking for rentals. She said no they dont do refunds especially because they are about to close. What does that have to do with a refund? She told me she will take my name and number and have someone higher up call me because only she can issue refunds. At this point it was ridiculous. I didn't sign anything I was never told I couldnt cancel not was I told that refunds are not possible. Dont waste your time on them. Their service was horrible. They dont understand that in this business there can be changes made. Since they dont offer what I was looking for they shouldve at least refunded it as a courtesy. Just pathetic. They lost me and EVERYONE I referred and everyone will read my social media posts as a customer.

He played really odd and not great music as people were coming into our wedding reception. With all the great music choices available, this was strange elevator-like music that was really awful. He also did not play songs or genres the bride/groom asked for. Though once he started playing dance music the atmosphere did improve. Although I'm sure he has a great sense of humor as other reviewers have noted, I did not appreciate being referred to as Good Golly Miss Molly at my daughters wedding.

Tried to call the office but it was closed on Friday for a Holiday. You would think someone in the office would have caught that and said "wait a minute, we should probably call and reschedule it, so we don't leave him in the lurch." They totally dropped the ball. Kylan and her staff at Moonlight Events did a FANTASTIC job for our Double Celebration event!!…read more We had nearly 200 guests to celebrate our 40th Anniversary and 60th Birthdays. From start to finish, Kylan worked closely with me and the vendors I contracted with, for photography, videography, and deejay services (Jon); decorator (Lori); caterer (Tina), cakes and desserts (Laura & April), and also our emcee (Jinkee). Kylan provided many of the venue decorations, and final touches. She worked within my budget. Kylan even provided the centerpieces, balloon garland, head table backdrop, flowers, table list, table numbers, event program, and menu programs. My decorator Lori, provided the red carpet entrance, complete with ropes and stantions. And she created my party favors. Kylan coordinated with my husband and I, and a group of friends and family, to set up our party. Plus, Kylan worked with Jon and his staff, to prep the entertainers (rehearsals), and to have them set up their AV and sound systems, as we also had a slideshow. Friends flew from the East Coast, the Southwest, and all over the West Coast, to join us for our special event. Many guests commented how elegant the venue was, and that our party was the best party they had ever attended!! If you are looking for a venue to have a wedding or vow renewal, look no further as there is chapel on the property too. Our event couldn't have been more joyous and successful!! Our guests said that they could feel the love in the air, and the feeling of being one big family. Largely because of Kylan and her staff, our party was the BEST DAY EVER for us!! To celebrate West Linn's centennial this year, the city offered a number of special events. One of…read moremy favorites, as a student of history, were the monthly historical walking tours in different neighborhoods throughout West Linn. This first walk in January started at the McLean House and the series just concluded here as well. It is a beautiful venue that I consider to be West Linn's grand house. Sure there are plenty of modern mansions much more extravagant in scale and decor, but this is a beautifully restored and maintained historic home that is a lovely remembrance of times gone by and my city's roots. The home was given to the city by the McLean family after the construction of the Abernethy bridge drastically altered their river view. It is still a lovely location with a park like setting out back featuring a gazebo built by the local Lions Club. The interior has been restored with an eye to matching the original decor as closely as possible. For example, upstairs in the Groom's Room there is a nautical theme and you will see the wallpaper is very close to the original paper still present in the closet. The Bride's Room is the former master suite and my favorite room in the house is the sitting room with fireplace and red couch just off to the side. A close second is the sun room on the main floor downstairs. The original light fixtures are beautiful and there are enough updates to make this a comfortable entertaining venue. It is frequently the location for weddings, reunions and historic events in our city. The next public event on the calendar is the cookie exchange in December. I applaud the Friends of McLean House for doing such a wonderful job maintaining this historic structure and opening it to the public.

This place is perfect for a wedding. The gazebo us gorgeous and the waterfall is stunning. If I had to do everything over again, I would definitely go here!
