NEVER USE LISA: I had the worst haircut of my life done by Lisa Formicola, and I am 59 years old…read morewith very long, healthy, and youthful looking hair. Let me start out by saying that unfortunately I had gone through chemo, but was fortunate enough to keep my hair using the DigniCap system, and then I grew it out for an additional year before going to Lisa for the "after" chemo haircut. She had cut off several inches prior to me starting chemo just in case my hair fell out, which thankfully it didn't. When I went for my first haircut post chemo I had a picture in hand of a cut with long angle in the front, and then an after picture of the same girl with her hair curled. Lisa went on to cut at least five inches of the bottom of my hair, cut the front part at least 10 inches, up to my chin, and then chopped uneven layers all throughout my hair, all of which I did not ask for, nor did it look anything like the picture. On top of that the final cut was totally different on the left side of my head than the right. When I sent Lisa a text asking why this happened she first ignored me, but then tried to state that it was what I asked for. When I stopped by the salon to talk to her about it and ask why she never discussed with me that she was cutting so much off my hair she claimed that I kept cutting her off when she would ask if I wanted that much cut off, which clearly makes no sense. It was just denial after denial of why she did this, which I think was on purpose because I kept my beautiful long hair, and she didn't. I won't get into her person journey. If you love your hair then do not let Lisa touch it. I literally spent $2,000 to keep my hair using DigniCap and then grew it an addition year only to have her chop it all off, even though I had a picture of what I wanted. Her claim that it is what I wanted or that I was cutting her off when she was saying how much she was going to cut makes no logical sense after what I went through to keep my hair. She never once asked or discussed how much she was cutting or I would have NEVER done it. Please understand that I did not realize what was going on because she had my head down most of the time. ** Please note that Alanna cuts my daughter's hair, and her friend's as well, and the haircuts are beautiful and professionally done. I should have went to Alanna, but Lisa had first-hand knowledge of what I went through to keep my beautiful long hair; I never imagined she would chop it all up and leave it uneven as well.

I went with my daughter for pedicures, and had to wait a bit (which is fine, we didn't have an appointment). I watched one of the workers finish someone's nails, and rinse the tools under water for about 5 seconds - no soap, no alchohol, no autoclave. She then brought them over to my young daughter, clearly intending to use the same tools on her. I asked her to get a new set of tools which had been autoclaved/sterilized, and she said they didn't do that there. The woman working on my nails agreed. I declined to let her use them on my daughter, and I won't go there again. There are nasty infections and illnesses that can come from salons that don't properly clean their tools!

I've always grown up having some fear going to get my hair done because when I ask for a trim, somehow others have managed to chop off 4-6 inches. Stef takes her time to listen to what I want; I bring in photos and inspiration and let her take it from there. Complete blind faith and trust. She always makes sure that I'm comfortable by offering snacks and drinks when she knows a coloring session will take hours. More importantly, my mom always says I get the best haircuts from her, and that says A LOT. I always feel refreshed, renewed, restored and like that b**** when I leave. Stef recently opened up her own space, and I couldn't be happier. There's plenty of parking, the space is beautiful and intimate, and Stef really shines doing her thing! After the woman who cut my hair had relocated I had to find a new salon. My Mother suggested calling Salon Premier because we personally know two of the stylists and I'm so glad I listened to my Mother because she obviously knows best. Rich cut my hair the shortest I've ever had it in years and I love the cut. 3 weeks after the hair cut and I'm still getting compliments on it! Salon Premier is cash only.
