I purchased a Groupon for a full head of highlights, haircut and conditioning treatment. When I…read morewalked in and said hello I was greeted with a dirty look from the miserable looking stylist. Not a good first impression. I told they stylist what I was there for and she asked if I wanted the same color. She then began a single process color on my hair. I told her to stop that I wanted highlights. She asked to see my Groupon and said she needed to cover my roots first. When she washed it out I told her the color was dark. She then put it 20 foils and immediately washed them out. It was clearly not a full head of highlights. She was rude and annoyed the entire time. My hair is now a brassy orange at the roots and there are no highlights. Don't go to this salon, rude, awful stylist.

My son gets his hair cut by Maria who is our favorite person and she does a fantastic job! His hair looks great from day one. There are no awkward bald spots and no choppy cuts. I used to cut my son's hair but even for the $30 price tag and the ease of it all, I rather come here to cut his hair. They have cute hand painted cartoon favorites on the wall, barber chairs as vehicles for your little one to sit on, and a personal TV to distract them. They even have a little fish tank (but could use a little more TLC these days) for before and after the hair cut. I recommend this place and recommend Maria for your kid's next haircut!

Knocking one star because it's a little run-down looking, and they could probably stand to update some of the toddler car seats they cut hair in, but everyone is super kind and welcoming, they do a good job and it's not too expensive so we will keep coming back.

I can't say enough wonderful things about RAE Beauty Company! From the very first consultation I had with Rae back in the summer, I felt like I'd found a true gem. Rae (the owner) is both personable and professional. She truly knows her craft. When I first walked in, I was feeling down about my hair changes due to my health, and Rae didn't just give me a hair consultation, she gave me a safe space to vent and feel heard. It was like talking to a sister who just happened to be a hair expert. Rae was so thoughtful, giving me great advice on what would and wouldn't work for my hair in my situation, and suggesting alternatives that made me feel confident again. It was a blend of a consultation and a much needed mini-therapy session. You just don't get that kind of warmth and genuine care everywhere. On top of that, my stylist Princess was equally amazing. She's professional, skilled, and just so easy to talk to. I LOVE her personality! She explained every step, listened to my preferences, and made me feel like I'd known her forever. The whole salon atmosphere is welcoming, calm, and so comfortable. It's a beautiful well lit salon with a zen like atmosphere. Even the hair washing bowls and chairs are designed in a way that put my mom at ease, which is a HUGE DEAL for us. At 84, she's particular about comfort now that's she's dealing with a spinal issue. The day that I had my hair done, Princess brought her to the sinks so she could test out whether or not she would be able to withstand the hair washing/ rinsing process. She left that day feeling hopeful. She had her hair relaxed today and she left feeling absolutely pleased and pain-free. In short, if you're looking for a place that treats you like family, knows their stuff, and leaves you feeling beautiful inside and out, RAE Beauty Company is it. I highly recommend them! I wish I had more photos of my hair, Princess gave me faux boho locs which I loved and my mom had a relaxer today and a MUCH needed trim.

But the availability and organization is what I appreciate the most. Its hard to find a stylist thats available now with no bs. If you are looking for consistency I would say this is a good location. I am a new customer and i plan on staying for my routine cuts and silk presses. The ladies detangled my hair with no hesitation. ( Ladies be realistic about what you bring into these salons). They do advise of any upcharge, no surprises. I was in no denial abt the wreckage I caused during these past few months. Princess took care of me with such grace and explained to me what she was doing. She isn't scissor happy at all. I do not believe in holding on to ends and i told her and she did amazing.
