Amazing, felt like we were in Italy. Food was so authentic and delicious. You can taste and feel the quality. The staff are so nice and there's a great, fun vibe in the restaurant. It's a little small so I would make a reservation. Also you can not beat the prices!

Omg this was so good and tasty! The sauces had an authentic flavour and yummy consistency. You can choose the type of pasta that you want, and then choose any sauce from the list, it's basically a restaurant for you to build your own pasta plate. We ordered the tiramisu but dessert wasn't as good as we expected. It's a small place, we ate outside but in the winter it might be challenging.

So simple, yet so good :)

1st plate/course -- Pastas: 1) Farfelle/bow tie pasta in salmon cream sauce 2) penne pasta in tomato sauce with minced meat and eggplant Both were terrific. Pasta was cooked to al dente. Flavors of the sauces were very true to their names, without tomato sauce being too sweet or tarty. Salmon sauce was nice. No bad fishiness, not salty. Both were absolutely perfect and delicious. 2nd course/plates: 1) rustic pizza with mozzarella, bacon, basil, basil infused olive oil -- so simple, yet so good 2) scallopine chicken w fries and salad greens. Taste alright. Im not too excited about it. Portion is smaller. Overall food is delicious and I would come back again for pasta and pizza. Great value for menu del dia, only €10. Tourists -- Staff speak very limited English though. But knowing a few ingredients words on the menu will certainly get you buy. The place is very small so best to come early if you don't want to wait long. We came on a Tuesday at 1:40 and waited 40 min for table for 2. Would have been 5 star if the service was a lot quicker -- busy lunch time, not enough staff.

Burrata tasted so fresh and the pasta dishes were very well cooked. Reservation highly recommended or plan to arrive at least 10 minutes before the restaurant opens!

Walking in the front room full of people and old antique furniture and plates was very charming. Felt like a lot of dressed up locals. We were lead to back room for 9pm (opening time) reservation (someone on Yelp recommended! TY!) Saw another table kinda blasé attitude with their food or unhappy in general and maybe not a good day. I couldn't decide between the Lasagna & Eggplant parmigiana. The waitress said to get the beef Lasagna for sure kind of their specialty-wow! Yes!! I could have eaten a second! Thinking of this place in hindsight is making me hungry and bummed to not know a place this good. Fresh pasta! Trying everyone else's pasta I think Mine was best. Paper thin sheets of Lasagna noodles and sauce, then Carbonara 2nd place and bolognese 3rd-not enough sauce-for the bolognese. Red wine by glass was perfect too. Worth every penny! Even the kids Lemonade was uniquely delicious.

It was busy when we arrived but there were still many tables available. The decor was warm & welcoming. Unfortunately I wish I could say the same for our server. He was abrupt & seemed annoyed we were there, not very attentive either. However, our food was wonderful! We ordered two entrees, a beef sirloin dish & a pasta dish. Our food came out fast. The beef were tender sirloin medallions in a flavorful white wine sauce over risotto, very delicious. The pasta was stuffed with truffle served with a porcini mushroom sauce & truffle pearls. A luscious dish...both rich & satisfying. We really enjoyed our dinner!

Anniversary Dinner in Barcelona -- Pleasantly Surprised!…read more Celebrated our anniversary here at Luigi's while in Barcelona, and honestly, I was surprised that it wasn't as expensive as I expected for a nice sit-down spot in the city. Service was decent and the food came out at a good pace. We started with the Burrata salad (€14), which was super refreshing, especially with the balsamic vinaigrette. We also ordered the prosciutto pizza (around €14), which was simple, tasty, and hit the spot. Of course, I had to try the truffle pasta (about €13) -- creamy and comforting just the way I like it. Hubby ordered the seafood linguine (€15), and that was actually a standout -- light, flavorful, and packed with the perfect amount of shrimp. Overall, such a nice spot to enjoy Italian food in Barcelona without breaking the bank. Definitely a pleasant surprise for our anniversary dinner. Happy eats!
