I came across Kelly by accident when I was in Salon Republic for work. I walked into see if she could wax my eyebrows, right on the spot she was able to wax my then, and did an amazing job. She makes her own waxes, that are sensitive skin friendly ( I actually didn't break out after I got them done.) We got to talking about my acne and how I was going to see a Dermatoligist/ Esthetician to get a facial in a couple days. She started to tell me her story of why she became an Esthetician and the reason she is so passionate about helping people with their skin. I thought about her for a couple days and chose to cancel my original facial and go give Kelly a shot instead. She was AWESOME , such a perfectionist and takes her time. I expected the appointment to only be an hour from my previous facial experiences and made and apt 2 hours after. she took about 1:45, made me feel so comfortable and relaxed with so much knowledge about acne , products , and beauty. When I was getting my facial she also told me how she is a masseuse. I would of booked the appointments back to back if I had known. I got a whole new set of products to try and had to leave in a hurry to make my second appointment. She text me with a detailed message on how to use my new products. I had never gotten a spray tan before (but I do self tanning at home) so I was a little apprehensive. I didn't want to look orange or splotchy. I did a lot of research and Bella Jersey seemed to be the best bet in the county. I live in Downtown San Diego but it was well worth the drive to Del Mar. Kelly is so fun and sweet, she makes you feel at ease about the whole process. You can tell she really focuses on giving you a good and natural looking tan. Afterwards no one noticed that I had just come from a spray tan, but I instead kept getting comments that I looked good... people said I looked really healthy, glowing, and thinner! The proof is in those comments... I look naturally tan, and it was subtle enough that no one noticed what it was that was making me look so good. It's difficult for me to get an even tan without getting burned and turning red. I've tried spray tans in the past. But they turned out orange, patchy, streaky... and it's like all these other spas are passing these kinds of jobs off as "expert tans" when they make you look worse than being pale. But Bella Jersey does an outstanding job to say the least. I also need serious work on blemishes like pores and hairs on my chin and eyebrows. I refuse to let an inexperienced esthetician work on me. Kelly's been in this field long enough to recognize my needs and make me beautiful again. I trust her. And I recommend her. But you don't have to listen to me. After a traumatic waxing experience at a local "waxing spa", I never thought I would get waxing done again, until I met Kelly. She is so comforting and generous, there isn't one reason to not go to her. She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about everything she does and has helped me with my fear of hair removal. I've been going to Kelly for over a year now for facials and waxing. She does an amazing job at both! For facials she is really great at analyzing your skin and customizing the facial. Bella Jersey is the only place I'll go for my hair removal, facials and spray tans now. I'm in a situation where I HAVE to look good. It's a shame that there just aren't any other salons that even come close to the results that Kelly provided. Kelly is passionate about making sure my spray tan is even and the is a tone that works well with my skin color. I have had numerous spay tans with different companies and this spray is the most natural looking! It's beautiful on. Only downside is it doesn't last as long as some other spray tans, but that's bc Kelly's formula is organic and therefore, better for the skin. read more
