As a practice, this business does not accept clients when Aunt Flo comes to visit. No problem. However, since these 'visits' are sometimes unannounced, early, and/or occasionally unexpected, it can be sometimes be difficult to adhere to her 24-48 hour cancellation policy. In my case, my 'visit' started a few hours before my last scheduled appointment. I texted her to let her know, and she asked me to cancel and reschedule. No problem. It was tough to find a new time slot on her calendar that worked with my schedule, but when I finally found one, I reached out to ask her to reschedule me since I didn't officially cancel through the Booksy site and I didn't want to get charged to deposit fees. She said that my previous appointment was automatically cancelled and that the deposit for that appointment was non-refundable since the appointment was not cancelled 24 hours prior. Well, 24 hours prior to that appointment, I didn't need to cancel, soooo... I thought that there should have been some flexibility there, especially given that she told me to cancel, but when I reached out and expressed this to her, she left me on read. It's disappointing, because I enjoyed doing business with her. However, if I can't at least have an open, honest dialogue with someone, then I'm not comfortable doing business with them either.
