I am fixing and adjusting the drawers and slideouts monthly, with some having become completely unusable. I have had MCK in to repair but then a few days or week later, broken again. We have been what I would consider light users of our kitchen and take good care of it. The wood scuffs very easily and where we got a cream colored finish, it is looking very dumpy very quickly. I would never recommend MCK based solely on the very poor quality product they deliver.

They've been replace 3 times, yes you read that right 3 times and there are still 4 doors that STILL need to be replaced. The first time they replaced our doors 2 of them were not even the same finish, the third time 3 doors had 'soft' paint that felt like rubber and marked easily as well as full of picks and small pin holes in the paint. When our quartz countertop was installed it had 2 noticeable chips. The chips were fixed to our satisfaction but we are extremely disappointed with the terrible quality of our cupboard doors.....4th time is the charm??? We hope so.

Alot on sale and alot on clearance which was throughout the store randomly, it was great. I actually found those Yankee Car Sent things which are very hard to find and I got them three for $5.99. I really do like this store and can see myself going back for shower gifts or even presents for the girls as they have some really pretty things there. Picture frames are beautiful. I genuinely find it bewildering that the staff here don't instantly recognize me and let out a hushed, "Father's home..." as I walk in the door. I find myself in this store very often. Now, part of this is because I inherited a love for all things kitchen. Perhaps the greatest similarity between me and my mother is the fact that we both have an appliance or tool for pretty much any food thing you can think of. Need to crack and separate an egg at the same time, while keeping your hands clean? I've got you covered. Want to process a small amount of frozen banana slices to make ice cream? Use my mini food processor. (Use my regular food processor for larger batches.) Baking some cookies? Don't worry, I have enough Silpats for you to bake continuously for about five months. It should be obvious that a store like this is a clear danger to my bank account. Unfortunately, I have a car and no self-control. I should get to the actual review part of this: Come here if you're looking to get something for your home and don't mind paying a bit extra for it to not be Zellers quality. A dish rack at BBB, for example, can run between $18 and $80. (Which one do you think I own?) Come here if you're looking for some of the most random crap for your house that you had no idea was an absolute necessity. Like the cutting board that folds up a bit to make transferring chopped up veggies easier! Come here if you have some free time and love to fantasize about owning everything and how much better your life would be if you took the plunge and bought that $100 shower caddy. (THINK OF THE EXTRA SOAP SPACE!) Also, come here if you already went to Home Outfitters and they didn't have what you want. They're right across the street and you never know, right? No questions went unanswered. Always took the time to explain things, and what was on the agenda for the next day. He had suggestions for several things that we had not considered. He even helped us pick a paint color for the walls, as I couldn't decide, lol. Terry was very friendly and personable. From our first phone call, to the meeting with Andrew, to the finished product, the whole process went as planned and on time. They were very professional, extremely clean, polite, courteous and friendly. I can't say any more from the excellent service provided by Chris and his team. The finished product was comparable to night and day. The job did go over the original estimate of 2 days a little, but quite understandable, as there was a couple of hidden issues behind the walls that surprised us and them, and I did ask for a couple of extra's do be completed if there was time...i.e. crown moulding. The whole finished product was completed with just a 1/2 day extra, and we did not have any problem with that. Darcy, our installer kept us appraised of all stages of the job, so there were no surprises. As for the extra jobs requested, they were all completed to my satisfaction. We were very happy that they were able to complete that part of the reno. As for the cost, the whole price came out as per original estimate, except for the addition of my extra's request. It is interesting to note that my cost estimate from Beautiful baths came out ahead of another competitor, who was only going to provided a new bath tub and shower. But there are other brands in the store - KitchenAid, Cuisinart, Henckels knives and my personal favorite Le Creuset - a very high end, ie expensive brand of enamel cast iron cook and bakeware. True you can find some of these in many stores, and sometimes even cheaper than at Paderno. But nowhere will you find the selection. From gadgets to huge stockpots, from bamboo cutting boards to espresso machines...you have to come and see for yourself.
