After completing 7 treatments for laser hair removal on my underarms, it seems that I wasted both time and money. It looks as if I never even had the procedure done! In between the first couple of treatments, I asked the laser specialist how long it would take to get visible results. She suggested that after the 5th treatment, I should be able to notice a major difference. No results and no gradual decrease in hair growth. What a complete rip off this place is!! I went there for laser hair removal of my bikini area and after 4 treatments and $325, I saw absolutely NO change whatsoever. Supposedly when I first inquired about having it done, they said I would see a major decrease in the amount of hair after 4 treatments, possibly most of the hair would be gone. I bought a groupon for 6 microdermabrasion treatments, I had my first one there yesterday. I only bought them because the ones at my dermatologist are so much more expensive, but now I know why-- they were so much better. The woman started with cleansing my face with a scrub since I had makeup on, all I wear is powder and blush which had honestly probably worn off by that time and the makeup probably could have been taken off with a cleansing wipe... like it was at my dermatologist. After the session was over I felt like the scrub was partially meant to make up for how bad the microdermabrasion tool is. She then wiped that off with water and put something on my face to bring the dirt to the surface and then wiped that off with water and THEN began the Microdermabrasion. After that was over she put some sort of mask on me to calm the skin. Microdermabrasion isn't supposed to feel good. I was completely comfortable the whole time, it just felt like someone was putting a tiny little vacuum to my face and neck, you couldn't feel the sand taking off the dead skin at all. My experience at my dermatologist was not exactly pleasant, but it wasn't excruciating pain either, normal, what you are supposed to feel in the process. My skin looked great when she was done, very dewy. It just looked very moisturized. After the ones at my dermatologist I can tell a significant difference the next day, new skin. My skin looks bright and shiny and clean. Today after my Microdermabrasion at Bella it looks just like it did before I went in yesterday. It's like all she did was put on all whole bunch of masks and moisturizers on me yesterday. OH, and today I have a pimple from all of the moisturizers!- to top it off :) I have 5 more to go. On my sister's recommendation, I tried Bella for laser hair removal. At my third appointment, when I arrived, Cher told me that the price has increased from $150 to $200 per treatment. A steep increase, and I was not happy that I was not told before I arrived for my appointment. After three treatments (after having 6 treatments elsewhere), I wanted to discuss my treatment with Alethea as I had expected more success since I am the ideal coloring for laser hair removal (dark hair and light skin). Alethea returned my call after the first message I left with Leslie at the front desk, but I was at a meeting and could not answer. I left three more messages over the course of about 2 weeks. Not one was returned. At the last message, I told Leslie that if I did not receive a return call from Alethea that I would assume that she did not want my business. Call it my fault for assuming, but I paid $60 for a facial that was regularly priced at $150.00 so I assumed it would be for an hour. It lasted less than 25 minutes. And to top it off, it was the worst facial I have ever gotten. I think she rubbed a few oils on my face and did about 5 extractions. I visited Bella in total of 4 times (including consultation) starting in the fall of 2015 for microneedling treatments. I first had a consultation with the office manager, Melissa, and she just did not seem acknowledgeable in anything she was talking about. She also showed me a picture of HER before and after photos that didn't really explain much nor was relevant to my treatment. There were times where the technician would make me wait 20+ extra minutes prior to the microneedling treatments, which is unprofessional IMO. The results of my treatments were just okay--but that is probably because I waited too long in between my treatments. The staff is indeed friendly but not so much after you pay your dues. Chastain Wellness became part of Bella. Really liked Chastain Wellness - Clean, quiet, great facility and services. However, my first visit to Bella for a facial was terrible in comparison. Much further drive through heavily congested area. Had to fill out new client information form AGAIN even though Chastain had all this information. Room was too bright, very small and looked dirty. Steam equipment didn't work. Music too loud, but still didn't drown out the noise coming from outside the room. The only good thing was my aesthesistician who was efficient and caring. read more

This place smells like an old basement with wet carpet. The air conditioning had broken, with that being said my first and last visit was an unpleasant one. The smell was awful! Alethea which is the owner as well as laser practitioner seemed frantic because of all the people she had waiting in the office. And by the time she finished my laser genesis treatment seemed she had no time to discuss after care because she had to rush to the next person. I wondered why she was the only one providing services? This place literally has 3-4 treatment rooms. Seem she's understaffed and pretty much not customer service friendly considering overbooking people. I think she's more about the money then the results and care of my or anyone's needs. On the Internet, I purchased a package deal for four visits for laser hair removal. The package deal was over $100.00 (I have forgotten the actual amount). Then when I got to the business site of Bella by Alethea on Wieuca Road, I had to pay an extra $60 for each visit. Needless to mention, I felt deceived. Nevertheless, I payed the extra $60 per visit for four visits. During the first visit, the laser machine did not turn on properly, so Ms. Alethea hit the machine on its side, and the machine turned on. She stated that hitting the machine was advised by the technician. During the four visits, my back was shaved each time of its hair (which cost an extra $10.00 per visit). During some of the visits, Ms. Alethea stated that the hair was being reduced. Therefore, I purchased another package deal for over $100. As advertised, the type of hair on my back was perfect for laser removal; the hair was light brown and medium thickness. After the fifth visit, I had to discontinue temporarily the visits. Two months after the last fifth visit and paying over $600.00, all of the hair on my back has grown back. I would advise not to use Bella by Alethea. read more

I went here for microdermabrasion using a Groupon. My microdermabrasion service was fine and the woman who did it was kind and knowledgeable. Took about 20 minutes. That said, prior to my actual service they sent in their sales woman for a consultation - I believe her name was Michelle. She did not even look at my skin and after asking what service I was in for, quickly told me how little the service I had chosen would do. She tried to upsell me from an less than $50 microdermabrasion treatment to a $250 facial. When I declined, she explicitly told me that my skin would not look very good for my upcoming wedding (the reason I was in for microdermabrasion in the first place). She was rude and insulting and continued to tell me how "disappointed" she was that I "wouldn't look my best for my wedding." I didn't appreciate the salon preying on their customers feelings and insecurities in an effort to up sell them! read more

I went to Bella to get laser work done on spider veins on my ankle. Being a rather skeptical person I wanted to only do one ankle first and see what the results would be. After the first and second treatment I couldn't see much results but after the third and fourth time I could really see a difference. I was so impressed by the final results that I made another series of appointments for the second ankle. II have had nothing but great service and results from the procedure I have had. They get me in on time, always friendly, and do a terrific job. I never have to wait when I get there, they get me in and out very quick, book my next appointment and off I go.
