I stumbled upon this place pre-COVID and during the pandemic went frequently. I haven't been in awhile and apparently post COVID it is not the same. They HAD a delicious chicken cheesesteak and now it is not good. I don't know if they have new managers, cooks or what happened? Chicken Cheesesteak What happened to the old bread that was soft and fresh?!?! Bread is a HUGE part of what makes a cheesesteak. This new bread is hard like a cracker, they also toast it so now it is really hard. The bread has some specks/seeds all over the outside both top and bottom, that when you bite into it feels like stubble on a man's face. So your mouth/face is scratched with every bite. The pre-COVID sub use to be bursting full of meat and flavor, it is now half the portion of meat and not seasoned like it use to. The green peppers are big chunks, not diced small. They did a great job with the extra amount of provolone cheese that I requested. It hurts my foodie soul that the best sandwich on their menu has been replaced with this subpar cheesesteak. Such a bummer. With the prices of food increasing everywhere, I cannot recommend this place as it is not the deliciousness I knew and loved. read more

Best subs in the area, hands down. The cheesesteaks, chicken or beef, are some of the best I have ever had. Their rolls are soft and chewy, but they load them with so much meat, the bread does not overpower the sandwich. I prefer their Italian cold cut over John's Italian. Minus one star because the pizza is not all that great. read more

BELIEVE ME, this is the best sub in Pasadena no doubt. Not only the best and biggest sub, but the best tasting and cheapest also! I got my sub and gravy fries delivered at $12.45! I usually go for the cheesesteak, chicken tender sub, wings, or gravy fries.They are consistent everytime and it is always served fresh and hot. The wings are super crispy, and their gravy is not watered down like most places. Make sure to get your fries extra crispy if you don't get the gravy on the side. I've also tried pizza by the slice that was good. They use real cheese which is a big plus! The only thing that I had that I didn't care for was the mozzarella sticks. They were the cheap little Italian bread crumb frozen ones. I wouldn't suggest ordering those. Please Bella Mia, get a better Mozz stick like the big square beer battered ones. I have ordered from this place several times but last night may have been one of the worst meals I have ever had from there. I ordered the shrimp basket, which should have been named fry basket with a few shrimp. The fiancé ordered the shrimp alfredo, which had zero flavor and alot of cream. The two stars came from the customer service, which is always great and the buffalo wings, which were okay. No complaints. We will never order the shrimp basket or shrimp alfredo again. read more

Ordered a XL Veggie Pizza. The bottom was very wet and floppy, the sauce was just okay, and the toppings and cheese were good and made up for it. Overall a decent pie if they just resolve the sogginess. Delivery was free and was about 50 min (I'm 7-8 min down the road from them). I probably would not order from them again. Have ordered here in the past and did like the meat calzone. Ordered today and ordered a cannoli with it and was told a $13 order was not enough for delivery. I could get it delivered if I pushed the total over $15. No thanks. Food is okay but not worth paying the extra. I would have tipped the driver with the money left from the $20 but instead I will give it to another delivery place. I guess a delivery for a single person it not worth their time. read more

So my son and I are pizza conniseurs. I am gluten free but eat the cheese and sauce off of one or two pieces. Bella Mia is by far my favorite, and is in my son's top 5 in the area. So I tried this pizza after living a while nearby. Pizza is decent and everything you would want in a good pie. Have to give it a good bite when you eat a slice or the cheese may slide. However the flavors are very good. Let a whole pie cool for a good 10-15 min before you dive in. It will still be hot and not so slippery. What a great little place, it's kind of a hole in the wall place but has great food. The subs are huge and the salads are just as big. The staff is very friendly and find myself talking with them as I am waiting for my food. Seems like they are pretty busy, always people coming in to pick up their food orders. Haven't tried anything else besides the over stuffed subs and salads but if your looking for something to fill you up, this is the place. read more

I've tried literally every pizza shop in Pasadena and this place has some of the best pizza you'll find. The sauce is what makes their pizza. Very sweet and just how I like it. My only "knock" against their pizza is that it's quite greasy. Literally pools of grease were sitting on top of the cheese pizza I ordered. Bring extra napkins before attempting to eat! -1 star for their mozzarella sticks. I'm 99.9% sure they're Farm Rich or some other frozen food brand that they simply heat up and call their own. read more

I have always enjoyed Bella Mia, efficient, fast delivery, yummy food, UNTIL NOW! Ordered dinner to be delivered to my job, a nursing center. At the end of the call, I realized they had not asked where/who. I gave them the address which they had in the history from the phone number I called from. I then gave them my first name and to ask for me at the front desk. 1 1/2 hour later, no food. I call them up, they say I didn't give them an "easy" phone number. THERE IS A RECEPTIONIST TAKING CALLS! Receptionist is also aware of incoming delivery. I give them my cell, now they are "on the way with the food". Driver shows up, questions who ordered food, then tells me he gave it to a patient on another unit, "sorry". Also, he implied it was my fault. Major lack of communication. They will be refunding my debit card and I will not be ordering there again. read more

The place smells like an Italian deli/bakery and you can tell that they use fresh ingredients. The pizza is a little greasy, but hey, that's the best kind of pizza. I really love Bella Mia's pizza and subs. Their pizza is New York style and gets pretty close! And their Cheese Steak sub if ordered with everything is AMAZING, they add diced peppers for a bit of spice which is a good change from the tradition cheese steak. The only reason I did not give 5 Stars is because their side dishes are lacking, The Garlic Cheese bread is a traditional French Bread with a slice of cheese laid over it....barely melted, just..bleh. And tonight I ordered the Pizza fries and I just had to do a review...YIKES! Very disappointed, Soggy fries with plain tomato sauce thrown over it and some sloppy mozz, oh so bad T_T. Yes their sides are from what I've found so far, bad...but the pizza and subs do make up for it ;) , definitely worth a try if you're stuck between which pizza place to order from! read more

Ordered cheesesteaks for delivery. Employee taking the order was nice enough. Got their 2 sub, 2 fry deal. We were told 35-45 minutes so we were pleasantly surprised when there was a knock at the door 25 minutes later. The subs were definitely adequately stuffed and piping hot. The only complaint I have is that the bottoms of the rolls were soggy. The fries were good and typical of most sub shops. Price of 16 bucks for two subs, 2 fries and 2 canned sodas seemed like a decent price. We will definitely try them again. read more

Good food and not too expensive. They can be a little slow sometimes but I usually call way ahead to cut down on wait time. The baked ziti is amazing. Garlic bread is basically a sub roll with butter and garlic but I guess that's to be expected. Chicken Caesar salad comes with an insane amount of chicken. Definitely a good value. read more

This was my favorite sub and pizza shop around, until last night. I ordered a chicken Salad and my husband ordered wings. When I got my salad home some how they got hot stuff on the lettuce. So I take it back it was so hot that my lips was on fire for like 15 mins. I get there and gave it to the manager and told him what happened. I just had surgery a week ago and am not suppose to have spicy stuff. So he looks at me and just says you wanna another one or your money back? No care in the world or even apology for what happened. Great pizza at a good price. The pizza is the best in the area! The crust is not thick, and the cheese is excellent tasting. Great place to order and pick up. They sell slices and they are good, but some slices sit for awhile (they will heat it back up but it makes the crust tougher) and the fresher the better so I prefer to order a pizza and pick it up) but if you want to grab a slice of the run great quick stop. Pro's: great pizza, good price, pizzas are large sized like NY, can grab a slice on the go. Cons: NOT open Sundays! (Hint close Monday and open Sunday) Football and Super Bowl days you want a pizza and not open..wow! Entry way and appearance is usually filthy, need to do something. Hopefully the food prep is better but not sure, just order your pizza to go because the small tables are not cleaned much. If clean would give it 5 stars except it is filthy and mot open Sundays, but the pizza is excellent. read more

Today was my first time trying this place and let me tell you it will be my last. I ordered an extra cheese pizza and it look like they just slapped it on there! There was sauce sitting on top of the pizza and cheese was every where and soggy! When i called they didn't now what to say but and what do you want me to do. I asked for a diierent pizza, now i had yo drive back up there to exchange it. When i got there the lady opened up the pizza and started saying something in there language. I enjoy pizza but this one I had to throw away, I couldn't eat it, it had just too much grease on it. I used several paper towels to blot excess.
