The pizza is excellent. Very tasty and distinct. The kids and I lived the cheese pizza but I also enjoyed the Godfather. The prices are so reasonable. The carry out is nothing fancy, probably why they are able to keep the prices down reasonable. Looks can be deceiving, I strongly recommend Rocco's. Only thing that could use improvement is if you order a sub it's ready well before the pizza and not hot when you get it with your pie. read more

Meh. The pizza was good, and ambiance was just the men working in the kitchen. 2 booths only, makes seating a little challenging. Watch out, the hours are wonky. Usually, if the Orioles or Ravens are playing, they are open. Parking is a struggle, but other than that, the server and other people were nice and caring. Definitely reccomend to others. read more

This place was highly recommended by my boyfriend's family, who must originate from the original settlers of Glen Burnie because they all went to the same high school, and all know the same BS places and speak highly of them, as if they've never traveled far from home. They also REALLY like Ann's Dairi-Creme - which I also do not like. Though I would be willing to go back for a milkshake. My boyfriend is adopted and recently reconnected with his Glen Burnie dwelling birth family, and he's trying to figure them out through any means available, including how his palate compares to theirs. And this experience did not bode well for him, or them, or things they have in common. I have NEVER known him to throw out a pizza or a cheesesteak, but he threw away both last night. It didn't help that we had some of the most mind-blowing, delicious pizza, wings and sandwiches the day before at Pippo's in Middle River. So, we got plain cheese pizza because all the reviews talked about how very close to New York Style pizza Rocco's served. I'm guessing now that these people have never been to New York. The sauce is super sweet. Our crust was burnt on the bottom. We also got a cheesesteak with onions that was so light in weight that it could have floated away of its own accord. The roll was SUPER soft and overwhelmed the small amount of meat, which also seemed to have spent a little too much time being cooked. My boyfriend said it was the worst cheesesteak he's had, after the "steak 'em on a hot dog roll we had in Cherry Hill." The wings were also basic and lackluster, and didn't come with any sort of dipping sauce. I enjoyed the fried zucchini sticks, but again, some sauce would have been nice. I was a bit disappointed with our pizza order. First off I went online to see what they had to offer and there was a special large 16" pizza for $10.49. However, when I called to order the special, I was told that it was now $13 plus change - how come the online menu has not been updated? I believe they should've honored the advertised cost of the pizza, but I ended up paying the requested cost. The pizza was OK. It actually wasn't very hot at all. I was told it would take 25 minutes for it to be ready but when I got there, the pizza was already sitting up there & I got there 15 minutes within ordering. The pizza also was supposed to have one extra topping. I requested extra cheese. There was no extra cheese on the pizza. All in all it was a very disappointing meal. We ordered from Rocco's on a Friday night with no expectations - good or bad. We thought we had ordered from here a number of years ago but apparently it wasn't that memorable since we weren't 100% sure. However, this time it was memorable. The pizza was delicious. We got a pepperoni pie and a cheese pie. We asked for the pepperoni on top since we're not fans of the pepperoni being under the cheese and Rocco's nailed it. Tons of cheese. Tons of pepperoni. The crust was thin and crispy but not burnt. Just the right amount of sauce. It was damn good which was a welcomed surprise since a lot of our local Go To pizza places have either changed ingredients or changed how they make their pies which has forced us to look elsewhere and thank goodness Rocco's popped up on Yelp! We also got fries and cheese fries. The fries were lightly salted and the cheese fries had melted mozzarella on them rather than cheese sauce. We were mentally prepared for the cheese sauce so when we got mozzarella cheese we were very happy because that is our favorite type of cheese for cheese fries. Lastly we ordered a salad. Unfortunately, this was a huge bust although it could have been our mistake as well since we didn't ask what was in the salad. This salad was unimpressive to say the least. It consisted of lettuce, tomatoes, and sliced black olives. The dressing was Newman's. We would definitely not order the salad again but might take a chance on the antipasto salad next time. All in all, if Rocco's remains consistent then I think we may have found our new takeout pizza place. read more

Wanted to give this a try after reading the reviews. We ordered two pizzas and picked them up and the whole family was not into it. The pizza had a pungent and bitter taste. I think it had cheddar in it, wife thinks the cheese was bad. First time we ever threw the second whole uneaten pizza in the trash. Called them and the person I spoke to said they use a mix of mozzarella and provolone and assured me the cheese was not bad. Didn't offer anything more than an apology which is fine. My husband and I are doing our own "Barstool" pizza reviews for the area and headed to Rocco's to sample their cheese pizza. It took us by surprise... SO delicious! Alright Frankie... The crust was a good texture, not too soggy and not too crispy. I prefer mine a little more crisp but honestly it was close to perfect. The flavor of the dough was also very tasty. They make their dough fresh daily and you can definitely tell. I normally don't eat the crust but this time I did. The sauce had a good tang to it. I also liked that there was a good sauce to cheese ratio. The cheese wasn't too rich or heavy. Good flavor. You could easily eat a whole pie. Just a solid NY slice that is going to give others serious competition. One bite, everybody knows the rules! read more

My two roommates and I were tired of ordering Domino's every time. I'd seen this place while driving by, and thought of trying it. After looking up reviews, I decided to go ahead and check out their online menu. I saw a deal they had for 2 subs, 2 fries, 2 cans of soda, and one 16" cheese pizza (NY style) for $21.99 + tax. I called them up (I normally hate calling up places, but this shop seemed worth it). The person over the phone quickly took the order with ease. He asked if I wanted to do CASH or CARD, but I didn't want to give my card over the phone so I picked cash at the door. Total ended up being $25.46 + $3.00 tip. Ordered at 7:16 pm, they delivered to the door at 7:50! Pretty fast! --Cheesesteak sub: So delicious. We got everything on it. It was 8'' of yum! Even had a lil' spice to it. --Fried shrimp sub: Also tasty! Nice and shrimpy, got everything on it as well. --Fries, were warm, thick cut, I can see how some people would say they're soggy, but it's because they were thick and hot in the bag with condensation. Loved them though, a mix of moist and crunchy. --PIZZA: HOLY SMOKES, simple as the cheese pizza was, it was so good! I'd get one of these simple pizzas over domino's/papajohns/pizzahut loaded pizzas anyday! It's even better the morning after, right out of the fridge. :) read more

The service is straight forward and efficient, which is exactly what you want from a pizza place that is largely take-out. I stopped by here myself a couple of Saturdays ago while in the area for dinner. It was a dark night and raining so I actually had a little bit of trouble finding the place but feel like it probably would have been easier if it wasn't dark and raining. Whenever I arrived I walked in and proceeded to order an 18" XL cheese pizza. They told me that it would be about 20 minutes and I took a seat at the only open booth to wait. Besides my booth there was another booth and a small area where they were storing stuff and a TV to watch. Nothing wrong with that though as this is a pizza place and I just want a good pie. After about 20 minutes my pizza was ready for me and I left with it taking it back to my hotel room. Once there I opened it up and saw that this 18" pizza was cut into 8 slices. They weren't kidding whenever they said it was a NY style pizza between the cuts and the decently thin crust that you could fold over. As with most pizzas this one can be broken down into its three major components: crust, sauce and cheese. The good news is that they were all pretty decent but nothing really stood out to me. The crust was of a decent thickness and was able to be flopped. There was a good proportion of cheese to sauce but I didn't really get much flavor from the sauce. Still I ended up eating most of it and I enjoyed it. The bottom line for me is that I might head back here again in the future. While the pizza didn't really stand out to me, it was a decent NY-style pizza. read more

The pizza took over an hour to be delivered. Ordered a large pizza. When the pizza came it was cold. Not hot or even warm, just cold. We've tried ordering several more times because the pizza is really good, but it always arrives very late and very cold. We frequent Rocco's often because the pizza is good. Tonight was probably the worst experience Ive had with them. One hour goes by I call to check the status "it's on the way". I call 30 mins after that (I'm only 7-10 mins away) "Oh it just left. We are busy tonight". 1.5+hrs later I finally get my food and everything is luke warm. Missing my Annapolis Rocco's I was excited to find this location in GB. I understand they share lineage but are sperate now. They both offer one very important similarity, great pizza! NY styled pies baked in a traditional pizza oven. No conveyor belts here. They have limited dine in (2 tables), so it's basically a to go or delivery operation. If you are a fan of pie, you owe it to yourself to try Rocco's. read more
