The head massage she gave me during my shampoo was exactly what I needed after a couple stressful days of travel. Their prices are reasonable. I went there yesterday (sep 5, 2013) for biolonic permanent hair straighten. My stylist is a relative older, larger size women named Nancy. I don't recommend her for the following 4 reason: 1. she checks her cell phone every 15 mins, even though its in the middle of dryer or iron my hair. 2. She burn me twice with the flat iron without a single apologize. 3. She drop water with chemical during rinse into my eye. 4. I did the hair straighten with the same chemical every 6 months, it's usually take me more than 5 hours, and she finished it in 1.5 hours with terrible result. ( but its usually cost more than $600 with tips in nyc, and this time less than $200 with groupon, maybe it's the reason ) It's the first time I did not pay the tips. I can not see the iron wound until its start to heal and has some crust this morning, my husband said its a good idea to see doctor for documentation and find a lawyer at this case. I can clearly tell that Nancy is really depresses and not willing to work at yesterday sep 5, 2013. But she should take a day off, not keep going and broadcast the bad emotion to others. Anyway, I don't reconmend this one to those who want to striagnten their hair. It's a really terrible experience to me. read more

i have been looking for a new hair stylist and having no luck. I decided to go on Yelp to see what was out there. I saw great reviews for the stylist at Bella Moda Hair Salon and decided, even though it is a bit of a drive for me to give it a try. I got an appointment with Bruno, who is the owner of the salon also. He was wonderful!! First we talked about what I wanted to achieve. I am a 3 time breast cancer survivor and have been growing my hair out after treatments, so I was explaining to him my fear of getting hair cuts. He totally got it, and did a great job on my cut. He was also very meticulous with the color. Not happy with the way the first color took, he did my hold color over again. i was so impressed! I love this salon and I will be going back. I had never been to Bella Moda before. I called asking about getting my hair straightened. I spoke to Bruno who gave me various options. I chose the Brazilian Blow Out. I was given a price of $300.00. When I got in the chair, he told me I should have my hair colored before the treatment. I thought, well, this is gonna cost more but..OK. My hair is VERY thick so I needed 2 treatments of color AND of the BBO. Bruno cut my hair as well. I was nervous about the final price but thought "Oh well, not much I can do now". I agreed to all that had been done. When he was finished, my hair looked FANTASTIC! It was just what I was hoping for! I LOVE it. My final price?... $360.00. Remember...That includes the BBO, hair color and cut! I will SOOOOO be going back to Bella Moda and to Bruno as well !!! read more

I have been going to Bella Moda in Clifton Park for 13 years and the owner Bruno, has been nothing but professional and courteous.He knows what he is doing and not only can he cut hair the exact way you want it, if you ask for a color,he is an expert! I would never go anywhere else. I trust the entire staff and its such a friendly,warm atmosphere.Bruno has repeatly impressed me with his knowledge and wisdom of hair! Fabulous job Jen! I didn't just get my hair done, I got a total transformation. I knew I needed a makeover, and Jen did a fantastic job! She asked me what I wanted, but I mostly asked for suggestions - I wanted a new look. I took her suggestions and the new color, highlights and amazing new hair cut transformed my hair into a piece of art! It looks just as nice when I style it on my own because her cut falls naturally into place. I went here for a keratin treatment and the owner Bruno was amazing. My hair is amazing. I could not be happier. Iv washed my hair since my treatment and I don't even have to style it. Not only was he very nice he also talked me through the process and explained how it worked. I got a trim after and he cut off what I wanted. Most places I have gone I tell them an inch and they take 3. I can not recommend them any higher. I live an hour away and will be making the trip every time I need my hair done. I have been coming here for about a year now. Carla does an awesome job on my hair. She helped me step out of my "boring hair" comfort zone, as much as I am willing to :) and she also doles out great ideas about local things to do with your kids. At times, she or the other stylists, have to answer the phone to respond to a question or set up an appointment, but it has never taken away from the overall attention to detail she gives to my hair or to our conversation! read more

Was looking for reasonably priced hair salon that did quality work- this place is it. Nancy totally "got" what I wanted, first time out, created a great cut in about 15 minutes flat, and I left a happy woman. This is the 4th place I've tried, and the first cut I've loved at a shop with reasonably priced services. It's not fancy, but everyone seems quite nice and professional. I was impressed with her knowledge of hair care and she is one of the only stylists I have been to that taught me some new stuff about my own hair. They were originally located off of Rt 9 near a friend I was staying with in Cohoes, and they just happened to move to Malta where I was heading when my apartment finally became available. But I digress-),they were welcoming and I was so lucky to find a stylist on the first try who listened to me about what I wanted, how my hair reacts not only to certain styles but cutting methods (razor-cutting is popular but my hair is a cursed, demon-possessed thing if it's own like the snakes on Medusa and turns into just that ). Not only is the entire staff friendly and pleasurable to interact with, Kelly makes sure I am always happy with everything before I leave. Satisfaction guaranteed, if you get home and don't like it she'll fix it and work with you til you do. She (like her fellow colleagues I've seen with their clients) is knowledgeable and stays on the up-and-up in her skills-I love hearing about the seminars and events she goes to, mostly because I selfishly know it'll work in my favor . She has made great recommendations for my hair that actually worked, and introduced to me the magical (albeit probably witchcraft haha) hair semi-permanent defrizzing process that is a Brazilian Blowout. Anyway, I can't recommend them enough. They're a cozy, smaller group of stylists with great talents and amazing personality. The salon has a few parking spots right in front, and Courtney welcomed me when I came in. I was happy that she agreed to do two different shades of highlights instead of just one. A really good deal with the groupon. She also guided me in choosing the colors and the cut, and I'm so happy with the result!! My hair is so soft and looks and feels great. This is more of a barber shop than a salon. There aren't any frills. I wasn't offered a water or tea. But I definitely feel like I got excellent value for what I paid (even without the groupon, it would have been a good deal).
