Bruno did a great job with my hair! I've been going from stylist to stylist forever (been to too many chains where the turnover rate is high) and was looking for someone to go to consistently. I have fine, curly hair so it's hard finding someone that knows how to work with my hair. Bruno helped me choose between two different hairstyles and I'm glad I went with his suggestion! She has done beautiful highlights and when she blows it out, it feels sleek and lovely for days! She did extra research for an idea I had and gave great advice on how to "go gray gracefully". Decided to try Bella Moda from Yelp reviews. I was not disappointed!! Nancy did a fantastic job of giving me a trim and shape to help my hair grow out. And she did the texturing with scissors instead of a razor; which a lot of stylists do on my hair...which DOES NOT work! It's a lazy cop out because their skills with scissors don't "cut it." See what I did there? Bottom line is that she listened to what I wanted and gave me a clean new style that made me happy!! read more

The salon was clean and the owners were both very friendly. I went in with a groupon for the copola keratin treatment. So far it seems to have worked well and I will post an update in 3 days when I can wash my hair and see the final results. Half is a salon and half is a barber shop and they also have a small area for pedicures and manicures. They have complimentary coffee and donuts for their customers. The groupon clearly states that it is for "new customers only" so any review that is complaining about that doesnt really have a valid reason to complain. As long as the final results are good I will be returning here for my keratin treatments every 6 months or so. read more

I went to Bella Moda because I had bought a Groupon for a haircut and all over color. I am pretty picky about my hair and often go from stylist to stylist because it is hard to find someone who will do my hair exactly how I like it. I can't speak for all the hair stylists there, but Nancy was the stylist who did my hair at Bella Moda, and I would definitely return to her again. The color she did is perfect, and my hair cut is great--its bouncy, swingy, and lays just right. Best of all, she was able to blow dry my hair perfectly shiny and straight without needing to flat iron it afterwards (every stylist I have been to before always seem to need to flat iron my thick hair to get it straight and shiny). It's not a fancy, pristine salon, but you'll walk out looking great, and that's what matters. read more

I have been going to Bella Moda for years, the reason? ... Bruno is a great hair stylist! When I get my hair cut, I want it to look good every time, not good one time, and not so good the next. I've also noticed that Bruno takes his time when cutting my hair, I don't feel like I'm on an assembly line, like some other places I've been. This was my second visit to this salon and I have to say I love it. The owner Bruno is wonderfully attentive to what you want and helpful when it comes to suggesting colors. I went with his advice and my hair turned out beautiful and has lasted longer than any other time I've had it done. Just got done with a wash and blowdry and again a wonderful job. Fran has literally been the only person allowed to cut my husband's hair because he has a crazy cowlick in the middle of his head. Every other stylist and barber has never been able to tame that beast except FRAN! After awhile I decided to go to Fran for my hair also and I have to say I've never been happier with the cut! I went in and asked for a layered cut and medium brown highlights. My cut was good BUT Carla, the hairdresser doing my hair, decided not to listen to me. She was afraid my highlights wouldn't show up so she wanted to do red/brown but i said that I wanted to stay away from red. She ignored what I was saying and gave me red/brown highlights so now i have awful red highlights near my roots than transition into red/brown. I've never hated my hair more. read more

I recently changed hairdressers after being with the same one for 20years. I went to Jen looking for a totally new look that was right for me and she delivered a 5 star cut and color. I get compliments all the time on my hair now-I wish I had changed a long time ago. I also had Fran for a cut one time and that was tremendous as well. I was going to by a groupon for a hair cut, but called and was told they would honor the deal by just coming in. I actually had an appointment with the owner. My son had an appointment with one of the other hairdressers. She actually did a great job with his hair, but kept checking her phone for messages during his hair cut which made him a little uneasy. My experience was not nearly as good. The place is currently going through a makeover and the owner was more interested in sharing color patterns with his friends, talking with his daughter, or talking with his other hairdressers than he was focusing on my hair. I was very specific about what I wanted done and it seemed that my requests were somewhat ignored. I expected more from someone so experienced. I also feel that when you go to get your hair done, the person working on your hair should be focused on you and not on everything else around you. He stopped several times in the process of cutting my hair and drying my hair to talk with other people. I will not go back there again and would honestly recommend that if you do go, do not have the owner cut your hair. read more

I decided to try Bella moda for the first time due to how well rated they were on yelp but it was such an awful mistake. I made an appointment for a wash, cut and blow dry and arrived early for my appointment with slightly damp hair. The stylist who I later found out was also the owner proceeded to try to convince me that I didn't need my hair to be washed and it would be a waste of time. I am not one to pick an argument so I said okay and proceeded to show him a picture of exactly what I wanted. Before I could even show him that he cut me off to answer the phone. That was the first of four phone calls that he answered while I was sitting in his chair. He proceeded to straighten my hair with a straightening iron and cut it. Before I knew it he had announced that he was finished and asked me how I liked it as he walked away from the chair to greet his next client in the waiting area. At no point during my experience did he use any product on my hair. I left feeling completely rushed and upset with my experience. When I got home I realized the hair cut was uneven as well as I was covered in my own hair. The following day I called to ask if I could come in to have the cut fixed and made to be even. He answered the phone and instead of sincerely apologizing he spent five minutes interrogating me about what in particular was wrong with my hair and rudely told me he could fit me in the next day. From start to finish I have been nothing but disappointed with my experience at Bella Moda. I decided to not even go back and get the cut corrected and instead plan to go somewhere else to have my hair fixed. I would rather pay for a whole new haircut rather than have him touch my hair once more. read more

I went here with a groupon price match. My appointment was at 10:00, I arrived promptly and was greeted by Shayna (I think was her name) she was new hence the groupon. I was to get my roots touched up, high lights and low lights and a cut for $130 which is more than I paid with my regular stylists. She had changed locations and was a little too far away now. . At 2:00 (4 hours later), she was just starting to cut my hair when her 2:00 appt came in. The awkward way she had foiled my hair, pressing the foils against my head and the position she was twisting my hair to cut it, I knew I had made a mistake. Im not sure if the owner could sense my regrets or truly didnt want her 2:00 appt to wait, but he asked another stylist to blow dry my hair. It was at this point the owner pointed out sections that were uneven and Fran attempted to cut my hair dry in the spots that were not even. In truth there is no style to my hair, it is the worst haircut I have ever had. Fran would have had to start all over to correct the mess I had been left with. A few minutes before 3, I left. The owner checked me out and knew my frustrations, but still charged me the groupon price of $130 plus the tip I wish I hadnt left. A few days later as I thought more about how much I had paid , how long I wasted there and how much I hated my hair, I called the salon and went into detail with another stylist and asked what could be done, she said normally the stylist that did your hair would correct it. I told her that would never be happening again. I understand she is new and learning (Really just learning), what I dont understand is how she is charging so much when she is not experienced at all and you are truly a guinea pig when you sit in her chair. read more

regarding Danny at the nail station-to be honest, he did a decent job on my nails, but it was not at all an enjoyable and relaxing experience. he lacked in the 'people skills' department, repeatedly mentioned that my nails are quite bad (toes and hand) and that I do not take care of myself (not in a caring manner); kept 'tooting his own horn' and mentioned he knew exactly what he was doing and i didn't know what a good pedicure/ manicure was; used his phone and responded to at least 3 clients, while also working on my nails; kept looking over my shoulder as his next customer was getting her haircut done and it seemed he wanted to make sure he was done with my nails by the time she was ready with her hair; asked me why i did not have kids since i was in my 30s.....just rude and actually made me sad to think how unprofessional he was read more
