Knowing hair/makeup usually needs to be booked far in advance, I was pleasantly surprised when Alex said she was able to squeeze me in for an appointment six days later. I contacted Alex for my engagement photo session and civil wedding. Both appointments were made very last minute on my part, which obviously I don't recommend doing, but Alex was so accommodating! She was very responsive and willing to meet my needs for both days. For my engagement photos, I needed make up and curls that would stay in my pin-straight hair for more than 3 hours (In the past, my curls have come out in 1 hour!). For my civil wedding, I needed my hair to stay up for at least half a day. I have straight hair and also a lot of it. Well, the photos prove how well she was able to do everything! Thank you Alex! Beware of timeliness issues - Alex doesn't arrive on time Alex did my hair for my wedding. It turned out beautiful, my skin looked flawless, my eyes looked large and the makeup looked awesome until the end of the night. The only thing was that she was 45 mins late to our agreed time I recommended her services for my sister's wedding, and she was an hour late without much of an explanation beyond "sorry I'm running late". This had pretty large ramifications - it meant the whole bridal party was late in getting their hair and makeup done, they had no time to take bridal party photos before the ceremony, and we were late to the ceremony by 30 mins. This also meant the whole schedule was pressed and had to cut photography time between the ceremony and reception.
