I received approximately 6 laser treatments. The laser removal was going well, my tattoo was about 80-90% faded and not very noticeable. At this point I was happy with the removal process and thought I had maybe two more sessions until the tattoo was fully removed. However, when I went in for my next laser treatment, I was told that there was no point in me doing another laser session ( I had already paid for a package of laser sessions and had one left) - that the best option now was to do a chemical peel. I was told "not to pick at it while it healed because that would make it scar." No other warnings or cautions were given. I had received chemical peel facials before, so I wasn't alarmed at the idea. I feel I was not appropriately cautioned. After getting the acid applied, my skin developed horrible, painful blisters. The area was raw and sore for over a month after the treatment. After healing, the area was red and raw for over six months. It was a severe burn. Now, approximately two years after the burn, the scar that I have been left with is more noticeable than what was left of the tattoo. I wish they had properly informed me of how severe of a burn the acid would inflict. I did not "pick at it," and was still left with a bad scar. Had I known the possibility of a scar was there, I would have opted to try another laser treatment, or see if the tattoo would fade with time. I called two times after the burn to let them know how severe the burn was, and to ask what to do. I was told simply to "put A&D Ointment on it." I do not feel this is an appropriate response to give a client who is complaining about blistering sores weeks after treatment. I am now seeking help from a dermatologist to try and lighten the scar. Please don't make the same mistake I did.

Right as my appointment that I wanted like a month for was coming, I came down with covid and Katie was SO flexible and kind on rescheduling. Like I said, I already had decent shape but she made them look so defined. I'm not going to lie the healing was quite annoying. You can't get them wet, sweat etc and with the Louisiana heat, it was very hard not to sweat. If I decide to do microblading again I am definitely going to get it done in the winter so I don't need to stress every time I go outside. The scary part about microblading is after the scabs fall off they lighten a lot & then darken back up. Katie eased my anxiety and they looked nice after the first session.
