As a person of color, I have never felt more racial profiled than today. I've been golfing for 6+ years, and today was the day I was followed by a ranger for literally EVERY hole. I was trying to teach my girlfriend how to play, while the group behind us was a WHOLE hole behind us. I will make sure to NEVER come back here again. This was honestly just a bad experience after coming here so often. Thanks for ruining our experience. The course is in very poor shape and designed terrible. Very close to two main roads. Driving range with no fence and goes right at you on 9th hole. Walking rate was cheap as it should be for how bad it is. Staff were nice. read more

Extremely high prices for a 9 hole course. Greens and fairways are not taken care of in the slightest. Ranger will follow you around telling you how to play and you're doing everything wrong. Will never be on this course again. read more

What a great course. Is challenging and fun to play. Now the food though oh my! We usually end up here at least once while visiting CO. Have never seen a breakfast burrito this size... humongous! Be sure to get it smothered with green chili and country gravy, is an experience you will remember. read more

I don't golf...but my teenage son does. And for the money, VERY affordable, and for a teen learning, can play with his friend, the staff will notice if they misbehave (I called ahead and asked)...I think very well worth it. Also it is very close to where we live. While I can't rate it as a golfer, I can say...as a mom whose son likes to play, and is learning the sport, greatly appreciate this place for him to practice any time. As for the restaurant, my husband and I tried breakfast a while back, it was ok. The food was just ok and the atmosphere was rather...well...bleh. Great little spot in Frederick for golf, driving range, and patio dining. Menu was pretty limited but portions were huge! My friends loved their breakfast burrito and chicken fried steak. My salad was OK. Minus a star for service as we had to continually ask for items that were forgotten, and ham was on my salad when I asked for it not to be. Probably the best breakfast in the Frederick,Firestone,Dacono area. We go almost every weekend, wait staff is very friendly and food is always great. Service can be slow if you catch them during a breakfast rush, but otherwise they are somewhat speedy. Prices are just right and serving sizes are large. I'm not mad that this is a smaller coarse, I could see that it was generally flat, and had no mature trees, or anything to give the place character before I played. But the guy at the front counter had the combination of the disrespectful demeanor of a teenager, and the inability to understand technology of a senior citizen. Yelling at his colleagues across the room about his work schedule, while I was clearly at the counter, right in front of him to buy something. Then, it took me 10 minutes just to pay, which I had to run my card twice because he doesn't know how credit cards work. He also asked me if I wanted to play 9 or 18. I said 18, I didn't realize that the coarse was only 9 holes and that I was supposed to play the same boring holes twice. Once I realized this I asked for a refund, which he refused. The greens are half dead, there are no distance indicators, or drawings of the hole by the tee box, or on the score card, so half the time you are shooting on faith. The rough was REALLY rough, and not in the way a good grounds keeper would make it, more like the way that it has been ignored, and is covered in weeds. Poor customer service, and idiotic lack of ammenities, and features for a course that charged me $31 to play 9 holes twice is why this shit hole gets no more of my money ever again. read more

This review will be in two parts, the course, and the staff The Course: Its ok, its a cheap public course, lots of reeds but good for a quick day of golf. Grounds are kept in ok condition, as with many things in Colorado its dry. The Staff: ( Pro Shop) I went with my brother in law who was in town from Chicago. We were there on a Thursday at 1 pm. The people in the shop were more interested in talking about their golf game rather then help us, we stood right in front of them for 10 minutes before they decided to help us. THEN they made a snide comment about how we should have called for a tee time. ( I saw the book, and the course, we were the only ones there) And then they finally gave us a cart and sent us on our way. Will I play there again? Of course, its local and cheap, but maybe Ill let someone else deal with the pro shop. read more

This one's a sad one for me to write. I ate at the restaurant several times last year. And always enjoyed sitting outside and eating good food. Today, I went there for lunch. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries. The hamburger came out with no bacon, and the fries were so over cooked they really were not edible. The waitress never did bother coming by to see if I needed anything. So after I was finished eating I wanted to go in the restaurant and pay. Could not even get in the door, they actually lock the back door to the patio. So you can get out but cannot get in. Find it hard to understand why you would lock customers out of your restaurant. this was at lunchtime so they were definitely open. One waitress did open the door and let me in, told her I wanted to pay for my meal but apparently I had to wait for the waitress who actually served me. While the other one stood there and did nothing. While I was waiting, the phone rang and the waitress asked if she should answer it. The other waitress said I don't care. Of course nobody answered. I got tired of waiting to pay for my meal, so I told the waitress that wasn't doing anything, here's $25 tired of waiting bye. If you're a business that does not really want to deal with customers, this place should be very successful. Again I enjoy eating here, hopefully they will fix their issues. They could start by actually caring for their customers. read more

It was on our way from the airport to Rocky Mountain National Park. We were a group of 10 people and even though they didn't have 10 sets of clubs to lend us, the nice people at Bella Rosa put together makeshift bags of clubs so we could play. The course is well kept. I'm far from a golf expert but everything seemed the way it should be. And most important to us, the price was VERY reasonable. For 25 dollars a head we got 9 holes, carts and clubs. A couple swings at the driving range and 2.5 hours on the course, that's a hell of a deal. read more

My 13 year old took Youth Lessons and we were so impressed. Not only was the instructor very engaging with the kids, all the kids had a great time. My son's skills improved and he asked if I would sign him up for another session. read more

Terrible!! I took two great friends to this course recently and couldn't have been more disappointed in both the course and how we were treated by the staff. In the past, I've had such a great time with these two ladies at other courses and want to encourage them toward the game of golf.(They're both beginners) Due to the treatment we received feared they wouldn't want to look at a golf club close up again! Our tee time was 1000 and by 1015-1020, mid 2nd hole, we were approached by the marshall who stated we were holding up the golfers behind us. He was nice about it but we later met the two golfers behind us and they were pleasant and OK with our pace. The 2nd incident was after completing the 8th hole, another so called marshall started yelling at us for driving over the green. Even if we did, which we didn't, you don't approach customers like that! He started with "Have you ever golfed before!!!" Totally an unacceptable and disrespectful approach! Went downhill from there when he continued to yell. I just stated "it wouldn't happen again so he would get off our backs! Then one of my friends went into the clubhouse and diplomatically discussed with the staff(the 1st marshall) about this so called marshall. She found out that he was wearing the bella rosa shirt but wasn't an acting marshall during this time and was just golfing. When my friend talked to the general manager, he was quite condescending to her and obviously wasn't taking her complaints seriously. Long story short, would never golf there again and will let all of my friends and golf contacts know not to do so as well! Even though it's inexpensive, not worth the unfriendly atmosphere and ugly course, with many high weeds in the middle of 4 fairways.(Didn't use any new balls , thank goodness) Our day ended positively, however, went over to Saddleback(4 min. away) and what a beautiful and friendly course. First let me clarify this rating is for the Breakfast and not the golf course. If I were to rate the golf course it would be 2 stars for a cheap open overplayed slow golf course. The food here is amazing, large portions and friendly staff. We even take our dog with us and sit on the patio. He usually enjoys a side of bacon and generally gets a bowl of water when we get our drinks. The omelets are the best and huge, they come with a giant portion of perfectly crispy hash browns and toast. Weekends here are very crowded so come early if you want to get a good table or sit on the patio. read more

The golf course's condition wasn't great... it was challenging though. At times, you really have to scout out the flag as it's location could be unknown, or there may be two close to each other. I was five minutes late for a tee time, which is my bad. I ordered it online and left my house right when I did. I am sorry I was a few minutes late but the guy at the front could not have been worse. We walked in and said we had a tee time, he didn't say a word and gestures to the clock as if we were dumb. He then immediately told us we couldn't play and would have to pay for another round if we wanted to play. It was not busy at all we could have easily waited for a few minutes for people to play ahead of us. I never write reviews but this got to me. Know your place, it is a shitty golf course just let the people play if they want to. We had already paid and he didn't even give us a chance to play our round. read more

Living within a walking distance from this place is convenient. I have tried their breakfasts and I can say I've enjoyed it, however yesterday I was looking into trying lunch there with one of my coworkers. We sat at a visible table. I believe we waited about 10 minutes to get a drink. This is when we found out it was just one waitress there. We figured no big deal we can order and have our lunches and eat then go back to work. This is where it went down hill. 2 people that sat down after us somehow got their meals served before ours but this was after my friend had flagged the non waitress lady n told her we were gonna need our food to go. By then I was just about ready to walk out but unfortunately we had just used most of our lunch "hour" there. Pretty pathetic. If they were under staff where was management at? I will for sure not eat there during my lunch. I will give them a second chance but instead of eating in I will do my food to go and see what happens. read more
