I booked an appointment and was given Alia Freeman as my stylist. It was the first time visiting the establishment. Receptionist Faith checked me in and was warm & friendly. Alia ended up being 1/2 hour late because of Pooler construction. No biggie. After about a 5 minute consultation about what I wanted done which was balayage with baby lights. I wanted to go lighter for the upcoming summer season. The next 3 hours were the most painful experience at a salon I have ever had to deal with.. I have fine hair that tangles easily. She yanked and raked through my hair with a rat tooth comb. When that wasn't working she pulled out a plastic flip comb brush combo and proceeded to yank at my hair. I winced many times and said ow more than once. Pulling out foils should not hurt my head. She also scraped my head with her fingernails when rinsing. She told me to sit at the sink, the chair was splattered with folding from when she rinsed me the first time. Luckily someone warned her to wipe it off first. She asked if I wanted my haircut and didn't ask how much or even how I wanted it and then did a very basic blunt trim before I had any coloring done. I asked at the beginning of the process how much it would cost- they quoted me $200. It was over $300 w/ tip at end. The color she gave me is a reddish/ orange now after a week, I wanted blonde. I will not be returning to this place. After not having my hair done for over a year and then finally being able to and getting tortured and not the color I wanted is very disappointing. read more

I really wouldnt go anywhere else! I have been a client of this salon for (going on) five years. I absolutely LOVE it. The ladies are friendly and very knowledgeable. A previous review stated that it was "nothing like a [Beverly Hills] salon," and she's correct...its not pretentious or stuffy, the people actually talk to you and the style doesnt amount to a small mortgage! If the people that come in seem like friends and family of "the help," its more than likely because after a while, that's just how you feel there. Its very personalized service and I'll take that over just being a ticket. I am ridiculously picky about my hair, and have had such horrible experiences before with people not "getting" my hair. I've NEVER, in five years, had an issue with that at Bella. They use J. Beverly Hills products, but the products are not tested on animals...and the choice of hair colors available is wonderful (though I tend to play it safe). Unfortunately I did not have the best experience at Bella Salon. I knew that they were pricey before going there but I was still shocked that it cost $145 to get my roots done. My hair was highlighted and the stylist just used lightener on my roots and it did not lighten up, not even close to the color of my other highlights. I was also there for four hours and stayed an hour after they closed. I don't have time to get my roots fixed and I definitely don't want to spend more time in there. I can understand that getting your hair done can be expensive but I have had full highlights there before and it cost $135 and my hair is pretty long. I just did not understand why getting one inch of roots cost $145. I also did not get an explanation after I asked the owner as she replied that is the cost of highlights and lowlights, even though I did not get full highlights. I love Bella Salon! My first visit was on a whim and I have been a loyal customer ever since. The atmosphere at Bella is open and inviting. From the moment I walk in the door, I am greeted with professionalism from all of the staff and offered refreshments. The stylists are not catty. The receptionist is top notch and gives great shampoos! And Sharon, the owner, is very approachable and friendly. The women at Bella are expert at waxing! Amy does an outstanding job with my nails and is a pleasure to talk to. Sharon always does an amazing job with my hair. She is a true artist. Her cuts express an intuitive knowledge of what works best for me as an individual. She exceeds my expectations every time I sit in her chair. As a colorist, Sharon creates gorgeous, spot-on results. I am very happy to have finally found a salon that has it all! I have lived in Pooler for the last 7 years and had honestly given up hope. After trying all of the " better salons" and only allowed the " master" stylist to cut and highlight my hair I realized for seven years I have lived with the awful growing out stage the entire time ! And all that time this little gem was right in my back yard! ( almost). It is charming, but the best part is the amazing job that Amber did for me! After moving to the area I was nervous about finding a good salon but thankfully I found Bella and couldn't imagine going anywhere else now. The staff is very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. I had my hair colored, highlighted and cut by Sharon several times and am very happy with the results. I was hard to please and the staff went above and beyond to make sure I left satisfied with my hair (which I did). I have also had a prenatal massage at Bella and would recommend having one if you have a bun in the oven! Overall this is a great salon that will provide excellent results at a reasonable price. read more

My cousin went into Bella Salon and spa for a cut and highlight. They did an all over color instead of foils, and they turned her hair orange!!! ORANGE LIKE BOZO! She has cried and contacted the owner numerous times, they refuse to correct their mistake and they refuse to give her money back. Then they threatened her with TRESPASSING!! All because she went in and asked for a refund. The owner wouldn't even show face, she sent one of her employees up front to deal with the situation. Extremely unprofessional, rude, and they have no clue what they're doing. read more

I was thoroughly impressed with the Professionalism and Customer Service with Bella Hair Salon. I had a conflict with my hair appointment that I had scheduled and they accommodated me with a new time that better suited my day. My experience with my stylist was GREAT! I left a long review for this place and my favorite hair stylist, Kaci, to find out it got deleted a few days later. Perhaps it seemed too nice therefore seemingly fake? Whatever the reason, I'm here leaving another review disappointed that you won't see my first. I love Bella Salon. I've been going here since I arrived in Pooler in 2008. I see Sharon but everyone seems great. The staff is a lot of fun, they are very accommodating and always help me with my crazy ideas. You name it, I've done it here. I had such a great experience at the spa today. I had an appointment and while on the way there, I decided to spice up my color. I called and they made sure they could help me get the color I wanted. This place is so beyond unprofessional. The owner is VERY mean and has very bad customer service skills. I witnessed them pretty much tell a girl "too bad" when they messed up her hair... IT WAS REALLY BAD! They turned her hair a reddish/orange color, when all she wanted was highlights. I do not recommend going here, they will mess up your hair. read more

I have been going here since 2008. Always have a great time. Sharon takes time to understand what I want/don't want in a color or cut. She never pushes to do anything.
