My sister had stumbled upon The Timbers at Silveyville in a venue search, and I was impressed immediately upon Jeri's prompt response. Jeri, Ted, and their team are super awesome to work with-- very communicative and extremely kind. The Timbers was the first tour my husband and I toured in our search, and Jeri encouraged us to take our time in our search-- creating a pressure-free experience in our decision making. My husband and I knew we had found our venue after we toured because of how welcoming both the people and the space were. We booked it the next day! Now that our reception has come and passed, I am delighted to say that Jeri ensured a stress-free experience. She was communicative throughout the lead up to our reception, and her team was able to cover set up of our decorations. Everything turned out beautifully! Our guests were stunned by the beauty of the place, I lost track of how many times people asked us how we found such a gem of a place. Numerous guests called The Timbers enchanting and feeling like a fairytale. People additionally enjoyed the swings that were placed out, as well as exploring and feeding the ducks with the duck feed. We got an overwhelming amount of positive feedback. I am so, so happy with how our reception turned out, and owe a big thanks to Jeri, Ted, and their team for making our wedding reception so magical! :)

It can get rather crowded and claustrophobic when filled to capacity. Parking is very limited and you don't want to drive down to the end of Sacramento street or Solano to park, unless you want to see abandoned stripped cars up on blocks and other trash strewed along the shore line. Whatever you do - don't park in front of the apartment on the corner of School and Solano street. A very rude and uneducated family in a blue early 2000's Camry tried to box me in, demanding I back up because they lived there and needed to park. Parking lot and entrance was beautifully lit at night. I can only imagine how pretty it is during the day. The room we had for her birthday had a window connected to the golf course bag where she served the drinks. There was a dance floor and an open balcony patio to go outside for fresh air. This review is for the Grand Ballroom itself only, not the staff…read more I was in Sacramento for a conference a couple weeks ago, which was located in The Grand Ballroom. The venue is very large and spacious but is quite old and run-down. The outside of the building is plain so you'll have to keep an eye out for it or you'll drive past it. The walls are plain and seemed grungy, and there wasn't anything notable about the ballroom. While it definitely got the job done for a conference, it would definitely need a lot of dazzling up for something like a wedding. The other venues of Capital Plaza Halls might be more fancy. The Grand Ballroom room itself is totally functional, but the restrooms are in need of major upgrades and expansions. The appliances are old, and with so many people in attendance and only a few stalls, the bathroom lines were outrageous and the ventilation in the bathroom hallways was poor.

I was afraid to drink anything the whole night because I was scared that he might try to slip something into my glass. This is the second time in a few months that I was completely creeped out by a weirdo bartender. Whoever reads this from management should seriously consider new staff because a wedding that was bought and paid for shouldn't be a meat market for low class creeps. PS Had an awful flight home with an upset stomach and ended up jockeying between my bed and the bathroom with food poisoning for two days. I think the sausage was bad in the stuffed mushrooms. Highlights: - VENUE- is second to none in wine country, picture the famous lavender fields, beautiful orange orchards, almond groves, sunken rose gardens, and multiple beautiful locations to change up the scenery for you and your guests. BFF is not only gorgeous, but it's exclusive too, this isn't the type of place that manufactures the same wedding every weekend. Each wedding they work on is bespoke, and cared for by their staff and unique to the couple. In addition to this, the venue was super convenient for a bride and her guests (2 huge, new bridal suites make it super easy to get ready with your friends and family), valet parking, and everything handled onsite by Tina and her team. - FLORALS- Not only were the designs next level, but BFF does not hold back on flowers that will blow your mind. Tina was even able to custom-prepare the Foreign Cinema Madras Curry Fried Chicken as one of the courses, when we mentioned this was special to us because it was the meal we had on our first date. jaw drop. If you want your wedding food to be memorable, beautiful, and delicious, then BFF will prepare food and dessert that's better than some michelin star restaurants in the bay area - STAFF- wow, just wow. For someone who is picky, but didn't want to be a hands on bride, BFF was so easy to work with and so good at putting together the vision and DETAILS I cared about most. Not only was the day run so smoothly, and so much trust was built with Tina, Kathy, and her team, but they were so soooo nice, fun and easy to work with the months leading up to my wedding too. If you want an easy wedding, that is beautiful with beautiful details, this team will put it all together seamlessly. I seriously wish I could work with them every day, beyond just my wedding.
