Beautiful area with a poorly maintained house. We were…read moreinvited to a wedding and stayed in the Creek House. I mean, you totally could tell that no one cares about cleaning and preparing the house for the guests! I had to wash every single dish before I could use it. The pans were oily and there was still food stuck to them. All the glasses were dirty, and there was dust all around the house. The towels at least looked clean. The carpets were old and worn and the walls needed patches and paint. Do not walk barefoot around. My socks were black after some time walking around the house. The toilets barely flushed. Overall the water system in the entire house is very poor and has weak pressure. We had problems with the shower on the second floor. It was very difficult to adjust the temperature in the shower, the smallest turn could switch it from cold to boiling hot. I truly loved the nature around the property, but dang, they should pay more attention to cleaning the house and having it touched up. P.S. I have to tell you about the meanest swan that lives in a lake! That guy made it impossible to pedalboat or be around the lake at all. He would run/fly up to us any time we would come close to the lake. He attacked us when we were trying to pedalboat and wasn't letting us come closer to the dock. We were literally stuck in the middle of the lake screaming for help cause he wouldn't let us be. He was hissing, flapping his wings, and trying to bite us. I know this sounds funny, but it's not as fun when you are near that monster! He is black with red eyes. You'll know him when you see him. But remember, he is watching you too.

First of all, getting onto the grounds is a hassle. They have strike rules for entering the grounds. On rehearsal night we called the office number to allow us in for our 5:00 pm appointment and the man who answered said, "I'm not in charge of that" and hung up the phone. Finally, they do not have wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The bathrooms were fancier-type trailer portapotties and the first step was at least a foot off the ground. This made it difficult for senior citizens to use the facility with ease. Again the grounds are a dream. But they have some ways to go in terms of customer service and the facilities.

We were so very pleased with literally everything! Communicating with Catherine was not only easy, but I know I ask a whole lot of questions and more than once... Catherine was extremely patient with me. Catherine also gave us a list of venders and that is how we met our DJ along with one of the two restaurants we used as well! The venue was an older one-story building, inside has a nice vintage look. It did not have the musty and stuffy smell of an old building. Even the bathroom was pretty and I don't usually comment about a bathroom. The dining area was intimate but large enough to hold plenty of round tables (depending on the number of guests). I would say there were maybe some 50+ guests that evening. The venue can be rented to use for different occasions. The location is situated in a neighborhood. Parking could be a challenge, there were some private spaces next to the building otherwise street parking available. I was able to find a spot across the street. Arsh explained every detail well. Though the communication seemed to be smooth, there were a few little details that were missed such as when I was asked what the theme would be so they could incorporate some of the theme on the welcome signage on screens. Upon arrival of the party, the signage was plain and did not match the decor. I expected it to match because I was asked for the theme and they said they would but didn't. The food was decent but it was not allowed to be left out long enough buffet style which is not reasonable because guests come at all different times. Every time a guest arrived late, I had to flag one of the staff to bring them a plate. This too was quite inconvenient because instead of enjoying the event, I have to monitor every single detail and make sure all the guests have food being offered to them when that shouldn't even be a problem I have to worry about. Another issue was when it was time to blow the cake and I was asked if I wanted it cut up for the guests and I said yes. I was so busy during the party that I didn't even notice that it did not get cut and offered to the guests. Instead, it was put away in the back kitchen without my knowledge or consent. Therefore, we wasted money on a cake that wasn't even eaten.

Jeri, Ted, and their team are super awesome to work with-- very communicative and extremely kind. The Timbers was the first tour my husband and I toured in our search, and Jeri encouraged us to take our time in our search-- creating a pressure-free experience in our decision making. My husband and I knew we had found our venue after we toured because of how welcoming both the people and the space were. We booked it the next day! Now that our reception has come and passed, I am delighted to say that Jeri ensured a stress-free experience. She was communicative throughout the lead up to our reception, and her team was able to cover set up of our decorations. Everything turned out beautifully! Our guests were stunned by the beauty of the place, I lost track of how many times people asked us how we found such a gem of a place. Numerous guests called The Timbers enchanting and feeling like a fairytale. People additionally enjoyed the swings that were placed out, as well as exploring and feeding the ducks with the duck feed. We got an overwhelming amount of positive feedback. I am so, so happy with how our reception turned out, and owe a big thanks to Jeri, Ted, and their team for making our wedding reception so magical! :)

We stayed at the house and it was so nice, we were able to stay up and take care of what we needed to prior to the wedding as I was a DIY bride....Gary is an amazing person to work with always answered our calls great at communication. We hosted a traveling Polynesian dance group here in August 2022 for an 8-night stay. It was convenient to have the group together for day sessions and dance practice, and it was a peaceful retreat for all. On the Saturday of their stay, we hosted a Polynesian dinner show for friends and family to enjoy. It was open to anyone who heard about the event and Suisun Valley Inn was the perfect venue. Gary and his team were extremely helpful. Gary was even flexible to accommodate special needs like the storage of sound equipment. It was very helpful to have a parking attendant and someone to help with bathrooms during the event as part of the event package. Overall, we had a great experience at Suisun Valley Inn and we hope to host our group there again next year. I highly recommend this property for your next event.
