Therefore on Monday morning I immediately called the office directly so I could get my issue checked out. I tried three times but never received a call back after leaving multiple messages. I ended up calling the national scheduling center and they tried calling but could not get a hold of anyone as well. The person I spoke to said she was going to elevate the concern to her supervisor. The customer service representative was very helpful and was able to get me an appointment at another location "Eyetech" which is affiliated with 2020 they were amazing. Over the last few years, I've definitely noticed the level of service is not up to par at the Glendale location. I have officially changed all future appointments to Eyetech.

Last year during my eye exam I mentioned to her that I couldn't see well with my right eye and her response was, "that's the best I can do." I then realized that I needed to see a different doctor. Called to inquire…read moreabout co-pay while debating between visiting them and visiting Costco and wanted to confirm that it would in fact just be a better idea to establish as a patient at a doctors office but clarified that we needed a contact lens fitting. Came in and verified insurance, had exam, and all of a sudden, as we're ready to leave, they asked for almost $400 more than what I was told on the phone as my co-pay PLUS an additional $45 for a "contact lense training" for a new wearer. Mind you, ALL of what they did, the exam, eyeglass script, and lense fitting (with new contact lenses wearer), would have been $120 each at Costco WITHOUT insurance. They literally LIED to me to guilt me to pay SOMETHING saying they could lose their license if I did not pay for service rendered or if they gave a discount. Not to mention, they were running late and the entire visit lasted longer than a typical Costco visit. What a waste of time and now I have to keep my fingers crossed that I can take my vision benefits to Costco in order to get a contact lens fitting without having to pay twice. Better frame selection at Costco and Eyeglass world as well as other shops.

I ended up calling a different Nationwide location, and while they were able to look up the progress, when I brought up the phone issue, the worker didn't acknowledge it and abruptly hung up. Nationwide, this is unacceptable. I've already stopped using your services for eye exams due to previous rude encounters, and now, I'm seriously considering ordering my son's glasses online next time. Customer service should be a priority--please do better.

The manager (I think his name was John) tried to assist but the issue was unresolved. We left with reassurance that we would not be overcharged & that everything would be ok. The next morning the manager called to inform us the order had not gone completely through so we told him we'd check with the credit card company & get back with them. After a couple of calls everything was finally sorted out & taken care of. And through all the issues hubby received both new pairs of glasses in less than a week! Completely frustrated. I purchased glasses for my son at this location. I added the protection…read moreplan, which is great for an active 8 year old to have for his glasses. Unfortunately within the first 2 months they were broken. I took them and gratefully paid only the $42 to replace them. When we received the "new" glasses, the side popped out of socket/hinge the first day. He wasn't even able to wear them. It looked as though they hadn't been glued and attached properly. My wife took them in and we were charged another $42 to replace them...AGAIN. I called the office trying to explain that they were faulty when we received them. I was put on hold, I could tell whoever I was talking to was trying to be patient, but she came off unconcerned and rude. She was also non-responsive while I was presenting my frustration that they were faulty. I was put on hold for a while and then she explained that we were charged to replace the glasses. She never addressed the root issue of them being faulty when received. I will look elsewhere moving forward for eye care.
