A friend recommended Liberty Fire Protection and I was blown away by the professionalism and thorough knowledge of Joe and his friendly staff. I received a detailed report of the inspection results. Since there were a few fire code violations, Liberty Fire Protection was able to make the necessary repairs, retrofits and installations and we were code compliant once again! And Liberty will do my regular inspections going forward, all for less than the other bids I received. Every property owner should schedule and conduct inspections having their commercial fire suppression systems equipment regularly maintained by a licensed professional fire protection service like Liberty Fire Protection.

I have a home fire sprinkler suppression system that had a leak in the ceiling of my garage. I…read morecalled Joseph to explain the problem and provided actual photographs of the issue. I made it crystal clear that this was a RESIDENTIAL application. Joseph indicated no problem, they could absolutely handle it. I made 2 appointments...the first to deactivate the system and to repair the leak, and the second to return 24 hours later to re-activate it. I took 2 days off work, moved several cars so they could have access to the ceiling, and scheduled a contractor to repair the ceiling hole access afterwards. When the day of the appointment rolled around, I received a text from Joseph 15 minutes AFTER the appointed time, saying that they were not coming to do the job. Apparently they were not insured for residential work after all. He did take ownership of the mistake, for which I will give him credit. But if you want a dependable company that does what they say they are going to do....find someone else.

This scope of work was new to me so I needed some hand holding and Brian was so patient with me. We had some delays on the client's end and Brian was incredibly professional, understanding and flexible. Once we we were able to get underway with the work, Brian and Nick worked tirelessly during the installation. I was impressed they took a lot of photos along the way to show the progress of the system. It only took a couple of days, and I was very impressed with the thorough testing they did after installation was complete. Any minor tweaks or adjustments were handled quickly and efficiently. They walked the client and I through how to use the pool pump and accessing the app with ease. All the neighbors looked on in envy so I'm hoping this is a service that homeowners in LA will look into. It's more affordable than one would think and a worthwhile service that you hope you never have to use, but will be grateful if you have it. There are a small handful of people offering this service in LA, I would encourage you to do your research, ask a lot of questions and compare estimates. I went with Brian largely because he was very direct and straightforward. He didn't try to "sell" me on a lot of bells and whistles like other vendors did. On the contrary, he explained those bells and whistles and gave sound reasoning why he wasn't on board with certain technology. But his biggest draw is he is an active firefighter and not only knows how things go down in a fire in terms of flighting it, but he'll tell you about where the water is coming from within the city and what you can and maybe cannot rely on from city resources, which is very important and sadly something we learned in the January 2025 fires. It's one of the reasons why we also went with the pool pump to help with additional water if need be to utilize our own resources at home. I'm happy to talk in detail about my experience, so don't hesitate to reach out to me.

Brian was very responsive and generous with his time and expertise prior to us putting down a deposit and picking a date. Zero pressure, 100% informed, customer oriented, and priced within reach. Also, it looks good and is easy to operate! Brian's expertise as an active firefighter added an extra layer of confidence in our choice. I am grateful we now have a way of protecting our home should the unthinkable happen. Thank you Brian and California Wildfire Sprinklers!

However, when the install happened, the fire dept asked for a couple of sprinkler heads to be located and one new one. The cost of these changes was very high. Even my builder was really surprised that the few changes cost that much. Unfortunately, I had no choice but to pay since these guys didn't even tell me or my builder that it would cost that much extra. And even then, we would have had no choice since most of the system was installed by them. One of things that I always look for is how long has the business been operating and how many good reviews it has. They have been operating since August 2000 and not a single good review - that tells you something. If your builder selects these guys for a fire sprinkler system, walk away - else your wallet will regret it later.

I was met with Ron who helped fix the problem. Ron was at my home for 6 hours, 8 am to 2 pm roughly. However, when it came out to the invoice, instead of an estimated $510, Todd had charged me $925 with no itemized receipt, I asked for one when I paid my bill and they didnt send me one after 5 days. When I called to discuss this discrepancy with Todd, he told me that the $85 rate was for Ron however the company would also need to be billed on top of that. I feel like this is a very DISHONEST business practice to quote me an inaccurate rate. Work done by Ron was fine and I had no issues with Ron. However, I had quite a bad experience dealing with Immoss Fire Protection and Todd.
