The people who work here have barely any knowledge and are very rude and dismissive, two people hung up in my face.

Compared to many other places we visited, their service charges are more reasonable--and the best part is that they include more services without adding extra fees. The rent is also more affordable, making it a smart choice for families who want excellent care without the high price tag. We had the pleasure of touring the facility with RJ, the marketing director, who has been working at Landmark Villa for 15 years. Despite her long tenure, she remains genuinely passionate about her work. She took the time to walk us through the entire community, explain every detail clearly, and answer all of our questions with patience and care. Although we ultimately chose another community due to the longer distance from my home, I still feel Landmark Villa would have been a great fit for my mom. If you're looking for a warm, well-managed, and affordable place for your loved one, I highly recommend visiting Landmark Villa as part of your decision-making process.

After the passing of her husband of 27 years, my stepdad, in 2020, things were hard. Mom couldn't live alone anymore. I tried two assisted living homes, but they didn't compare to Landmark. The staff here, from the receptionist to the caretakers to the med techs to the executives overseeing the place, are all wonderful. Every day there is a schedule of activities, from balloon badminton to trivia to bingo. They have tea parties, live music, happy hours. Today when I visited mom activity coordinator Mariah was doing her nails. That is above and beyond in my book. They decorate for every holiday. The lobby, dining room and individual rooms are inviting and bright. The energy is great. Bottom line: I haven't seen my mom this happy in years. And that gives me peace of mind you can't put a price on.

When I finally reached her case worker I was told to call her social security worker, Carol. Carol told me to meet with her physical therapy team and nurses to understand her care and discharge plan. After the PT team did not show for the appointment, I rescheduled. They met and said that Carol was managing the discharge plan. The. I was told to speak with a nurse. I was constantly sent from one person to another. They seemed very disorganized and I couldn't accomplish anything over the phone and when I was onsite, it still took forever to find someone that knew what was going on. As for care, she contracted pneumonia while there. They tried to discharge her with it, which her insurance objected to. They told me that she would be going home in 48hrs. Then she died. While the EMT's were trying to revive my mother, a nurse from the facility called and asked me what I wanted to do with her body. They didn't bother getting this info upfront and I was forced to send her to their default mortuary. When I called to ask to collect her belongings they told me they had to find them. They may have been thrown out. She was 72. Walked 8 miles every day. This is not a place to send loved ones.

What made it all worse was that Windsor called me around 12pm to tell me mom fell at 4am. They said they were trying to make the bleeding stop and the ambulance would come pick her up at 12:30pm. They quickly hung up. I was left wondering why did it take them 8 hours to stop the bleeding? Then the ER Dr. told me Windsor said it was a surface cut but the Dr said that was not true, mom needed 20 stitches for multiple lacerations. The Dr told me she spoke with Windsor staff letting them know that when an elderly patient falls they must immediately go to ER. You'd think Windsor would already know this. This all made our family so uncomfortable, I asked that she was not released back to Windsor.

We simply asked her to get us hot water for grandma she just grabs the water bottle no words. Her demeanor is careless just from the few weeks of observing her she simply doesn't care for her patients and it shows through her actions. If you work in the healthcare at least enjoy what you're doing!!! If you go here make sure AMOYA DOESN'T take care of your loved one. I BEG YOU. My grandma passed because they simply couldn't take care of her properly. When my dad told Amoya his mother passed she said "i know." WITH NO EMPATHY??? We told Tina she hugged me and my siblings and wished us condolences. You can tell Tina cares and is passionate in taking care of the ill. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE.

See her below enjoying her crossword puzzle (but, don't worry, she had the opportunity for physical therapy before she got far into the puzzle!) The PT workers, notably Sanjeeta and notably Reggie (Reginald), have strong talents (and leadership skills) to help your loved one spend no more time in bed than is helpful for your loved one. There is a cheat sheet of exercises for your legs, hips, and arms which will get you strong. There is a gym, with the key equipment which can also help. If you do visit the facility, please take care not to get in the way of the hardworking yet cheerful staff as they do their important work. An appointment is not necessary. A greeter checked that I am fully vaccinated (I am actually double boosted.) and confirmed that I didn't have a fever. I saw two guys doing us all the favor that they took their iHealth test while they waited to go in to meet their grandmother. On May 13, I saw a staff member, probably a little over 30 in age, who was bringing the lunch out into mixed sun and shade for a guy who hasn't seen enough sun in the past two months. The guy has a Slavic accent (I think) of some sort, and both of them agreed the guy is overdue for a haircut. The staff member was so very, very helpful! And during what seemed to be the break time for the staff member who was making phone calls, he stayed with our likely Slavic friend. It was a "five-star" recommendation for Windsor Gardens. I am sad that I didn't feel eligible to ask the staff member his name. There isn't always enough parking in the lot under the redwoods; so the most recommended parking is on B Street or along side streets. Actually, if you are health conscious, a good way to reach this facility would be to walk a little less than one mile from Hayward BART; or you could look up a connection via #95 AC Transit to 6th and D St. (actransit.org) which would get you even closer to their doors. The #28 bus also stops right close on B St. as it travels between Hayward BART and Castro Valley, Bay Fair, and San Leandro BART.

I liked Baywood Court the best because there is no expensive buy-in and the monthly rent is reasonable. From number 16 on the waiting list I was able to move in at mid-February. I have a one-bedroom apartment of 600 square feet facing the pool. It's between two exits so it's very convenient for my dog to go out for his business. Plus there is a half-mile trail inside the facility for his daily walk. I enjoy going through the Rose Garden and the Gazebo along many beautiful flowers and plants. Living at Baywood is like living in a hotel or a cruise ship. There is 24/7 lighting and air conditioning/heat throughout the building. I get weekly house-cleaning, change of bed linens and towels. I just leave my garbage at the door and all the packages I ordered are delivered to me . The two meals a day can be stretched to three because of the many options I can choose. In the one year I have been here, I have not cooked one meal for myself. No more driving to the gym. I just walk down the hall to my Tai Chi, Chair Yoga, and Zumba classes. We also have lots of performance by outside artists and regular health and informational meetings. Just this week we had Martini Monday, Coffee Social, and Tequila Thursday. You can play pool, jigsaw puzzles, Mahjong and many table games at the Game Room. There are also daily drive to shopping and regular visit to museums and scenic areas. Baywwod also has many group activities such as Sunday mass, Thursday Bible study, grief sharing, Spanish class, arts and crafts, movie and sports night, etc. I joined the Knit Wits to make projects for charity. I am the inventory manager and also volunteer as a cashier for our general store called The Cubby. The staff at every Department here are friendly and efficient. I love the community of other residents. The management does such a good job that I was pleasantly surprised when our rent did not go up for this year. I am so glad God provided me Baywood Court where I can live out the rest of my years feeling safe and secure.

We are very thankful to both Jody and Nanette for making our visits extremely pleasant each time.
