Would not recommend the Bellarose facility in Tulsa Oklahoma. Don't be fooled by the sales pitch and pretty building. My mother lived here for about 14 months before passing away 2 months ago. Moving in and out was/has been a nightmare. When we moved into, we gave them 5 weeks to get her room ready after we signed the contract and paid, and absolutely nothing was done in that time. Getting her in to see the nursing director for intake was ridiculous. We ended up putting her into a different room than we originally signed for - two weeks after she was supposed to move in. And we were charged for rent for the whole time. In addition, the previous maintenance director was stealing from residents for years before they fired him, and he was only caught because a resident set up a camera and caught him. Nursing directors have come and gone, and no one seems to want to take responsibility for prescriptions. There were many occasions where my mother was without her daily meds because they hadn't been reordered. My mother passed away on March 25th unexpectedly and now the business office is trying to charge us for food and rent for the entire month after she passed. It took multiple calls to even get the business director to look into the ledger to find their mistake. 2 months later and we are still fighting late fees, wrong move out (death) dates, and all I get for an answer is "that is what corporate told me". When I ask to talk to corporate, I am not given a number and am told this company just bought several new facilities and she is not answering the phone while traveling. I am still waiting for a response and resolution. If we had to do it over again, we would choose a completely different group of facilities. Dealing with this mess of a company while grieving the loss of my mom has been exhausting and painful. There were a few positives: The activities director is wonderful and some of the nursing staff really go above and beyond. Other residents were wonderful and sweet as well. read more

TERRIBLE place to work. The other bad reviews are 100% correct. Management would not allow me to do my online onboarding at work like they said and instead, told me i had to do it all off the clock at home for FREE. My life at home is hectic and i was unable to enroll in benefits because of this. Everyone gossips about each other when they're not around, including management and there is no team effort - just a toxic, free-for-all atmosphere. We never have the equipment or ingredients to to our jobs properly and nothing is ever done to resolve that. There is a lot of noticeable favoritism within the company and you will receive contradicting information and orders from various levels of management. There is a reason for high turnover rates here and it isn't because employees are lazy. I wouldn't let these people watch my dogs. read more

When you read the bad reviews - BELIEVE THEM! When we were looking for a place for our parents, we read the reviews (which were NOT good) and gave them the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, every bad review was true! The cottage is beautiful however, we were promised many services that were supposedly included in the monthly payment, but ended up being add-ons. The carpet was old and worn and we were promised it would be replaced before move-in, however 6 months later when we finally decided to move out, it was still not replaced. the yard maintenance was only done occasionally and the weeding was never done. The grass grew so tall sometimes we had to call and ask them to mow! The minimal cleaning of the cottage was done and if the maids were ill or out of town, or some other excuse - it was not done. We went 6 weeks without anyone coming to clean. On the day of my mother's funeral, their lawn was only half mowed and the long grass clippings were left. I called and asked if they would finish mowing and the grass clippings picked up.... and they said the mowing co had already left for the day and would not be back until next week. Their kitchen was inundated with ants and I called 6 times for them to come and spray. I ended up doing it myself. We were promised our deposit back if we left the cottage clean and in the same condition as we found it. We had the carpets cleaned and everything was spotless. However, we NEVER received out deposit back. We called and requested it and they told us we would not receive it back because it was for the cleaning fee. We regret moving our parents to Bella Rose.....and want you to know our experience. read more

Big liars! They want your money to get you in there and they don't do what they said they were going to do. Give you the wrong pills prescriptions. The nurse there is a joke. The head med tech is a mean woman. Only a few things from the kitchen taste like eating. read more

Bellarose may look beautiful on the outside, but they really cut corners on the inside. Don't be fooled by the lower cost rent on this place. Remember, you get what you pay for. The food: The food was OK when my relative went in; however, several months later, the popular chef left and the food has been less than quality. Also, food might be included in your rent; however, keep in mind that one only gets two meals a day. If you need a third, then you must pay an outrageous free for dining. Maintenance: Things take forever to fix! EMS had to break a door down to someone's apartment because the master key had been misplaced (that's a safety issue by itself!). Someone told the family that it would take 60 (!) days to fix and she couldn't live in that room. She was moved into another room; however, it's not comparable to her original room. At this moment, it's been 100 (!) days and the family is getting nothing but excuses for why the door is not fixed. Keep this in mind as you sign on the dotted line. This place is horrible. I would not kennel a dog here, let alone a human being. My mother did not last two weeks before I had to have her moved. They gave her the wrong medications. They overdosed her on one medication. They didn't give her a shower for 6 DAYS, despite her repeated requests for one!!!! They couldn't read Drs orders so some times they would give her 1 pill and sometimes 2, but never be consistent. Their activities consist of BINGO that you have to PAY for! Everything is an upcharge!! She would call for assistance and have to sit and wait for help. She said the food was horrible and she wouldn't eat it. I could keep going on and on. Please if you love your family the way I love my mother find anywhere else to take care of them! read more

I would give no star if I could. If you are considering this please ask yourself these questions - did you meet with the in charge nurse - like have a conversation about family involvement - she is a bully and doesn't want your input about your loved one. Are the workers always at the nurses desk on phones or eating? Does the salesperson give you wrong information and blames others when you question it? Meet the executive director and ask some hard questions about the place she is supposed to be in charge of - she knows nothing and blames her staff for everything. They give you an answer and then when its time to do it they say oh no we shouldn't have agreed to that. Assisted is a joke at this place. There is no assistance - they want you to get home health to do everything - they make you use their inhouse doctor which you never meet or talk to. They have their nose is all your business. Barge in the doors if its closed and continually yelling. If you question anything she storms out of the room There is no professionalism at this place at all. My father went to hospital week before Thanksgiving and never came back to this horrid place and we just received a bill for February 2023. Really When you call there is no apology or acceptance of issue just say we will have to wait until the next billing cycle. This place may look beautiful on inside and outside but the people working there are NOT for the residents or family. I hated leaving my dad there when I went home and now I know why. No telling what happens when you aren't there to advocate. When you are there they treat the residents horribly and the family even worse. Again ask yourself do you have a bad feeling from day 1 when the salesperson just says what you want to hear - did you feel like you just bought a used car and got taken. Run Run - there are many more to choose from and anyone you go to you 100% should sit with the head nurse and have a conversation - she has full control over these places and at this one she is a bully, mean person who has no compassion for your loved one or for you in having to put them in a place like this. These places are not regulated by state and are normally owned by a big corporation who only wants the money - they don't care about the people spending that money. read more

None of what they advertise actually happens and covid/staffing seems to be the common theme excuse. But not doing their job and not CARING to do their job are both problems. My grandfather had a HORRIBLE experience in memory "care". There's no "care" going on in any kind of way whatsoever except with one employee who seemed to be helpful and nice when she was present which was only a handful of days during our experience which was around a month (years in assisted living though and that wasn't great but livable). She was supposedly in charge of memory care but I strongly did not get that feeling as no one there was held accountable for anything, even when I complained her replies struck me as odd. I could be wrong but I got the feeling that she was given the title but actually had no authority, or that she was scared to do her job and make person over nursing mad. I can't even begin to imagine what the the people in their memory care who do not have an advocate like me have gone and are going through. I didn't realize until this experience just how awful people treat the elderly, especially "dementia" patients because then they get to use their that in their favor. I caught them in so many lies that had I not been looking in the window of my grandfathers room would I known otherwise. This is beautiful facility but apparently the funds they make are used on the mortgage instead of staffing. It's just beyond sad and physically made me sick. Writing this months later, I still get shaky and an upset stomach. I don't think I've ever been so angry in all my life and for so many things in such a short amount of time. Bella Rose Memory Care is an experience my family will never forget. Not just one employee there, countless employees for several weeks, this is due to lack of nursing management. I don't know how they sleep at night. I will say they are good at trying to make themselves look good, but anyone with common sense will soon see through them. It's the kind of place that will say whatever they have to in order to cover themselves. It's a sad sad place, I think several of the assisted living employees just have no clue what is really going on in memory care because some of them do seem like decent human beings and I can't imagine they would continue employment knowing what I do. So, yeah - whatever you do, don't leave your loved one here. read more
