I bought a jet ski from this loser. He told me he put in a new fuel pump and filter. Got home and next day won't start. I pulled the fuel pump and it's all and rusted. Can't be trusted and now won't reply to me at all. He's so incompetent it took half hour to find the title. That was a red flag and should have left on. read more

I've been to this marina several times before but only checked in to do a review this time. I love renting kayaks from this marina because the guys are helpful and it is easy to reserve a kayak. The canals, inter-coastal, bayou and river are all good places to explore. It can be a little tough if the tide is going in the opposite direction. However, it is easier than on open water when there are a lot of waves. The marina also rents other items, including paddle boards, water bikes, and boats! They have pontoons and other motor boats for rent. I have never taken them out but they look pretty nice. Important information to know, they have two restrooms at the office that both have showers too so if you want to bring clothes to change into after being out on the water you can do so. read more

Overall a great experience. My boyfriend and I rented a tandem kayak for my birthday. We had a Groupon and we easily upgraded it to the tandem for $5. We went out at 8:30am and had it until 12:30pm. It was his first time kayaking and he thought it was difficult and harder than expected but had a good time! Only reason I give 4 stars is because we had to call numerous days to try to get ahold of them to set our reservation. read more

If I could give no stars I would! The most non professional people you'll ever come in contact with claiming to be a business. They are a huge joke and bigger liars! If you rent from this place after this review.... You deserve to get scammed and lied to. I am calling them out on their bull----! We showed up on a morning we rented a 20 ' pontoon boat. It was very foggy we drove an hour and 45 mins to get there. They told us we couldn't go out yet, which we understood. However, our question to them was"why didn't you call us? (It would had been nice to sleep an hour longer). They said we were waiting to see if you showed up. We went for coffee came back and Austin said" oh, for your trouble we bumped you up to a larger boat at no cost" we said thank You and proceeded on with loading the boat. Tim had about as much personality as a wall. He spoke in a condescending tone as he made sure to ask each of us to wipe our feet on the wet dirty towel they threw done on the floor. We rent at least 6-8 boats a year on the gulf since moving here. My husband and I have been boat owners in the past, when we got together, we both had a boat and we took good care of our boats. You don't need to be a condescending messenger Tim. The boat was the worst boat we have ever rented, no speedometer, no gas gauge, no radio, no backs on the seats, no cup holders. It was like renting a raft with cloth sides, no joke. The positive for the day was the area, it was peaceful and tons of dolphins to watch. Also the fishing was good. When we arrived back 30 mins. Early we unloaded the boat, used the restroom and went on our way(My husband finished dealing with Austin while I was in the restroom). After being told they would drop the price from 250.00 down to 150.00 they charged us the entire 250.00 plus gas. If you want to go out in this area there are plenty other marinas to use. Do not be scammed like we were take your business elsewhere. Do yourself a huge favor. Austin and Tim all I have to say to you is shut down your marina....you guys are a HUGE JOKE! Do NOT rent from this Marina. I purchased a Groupon for a Pontoon. I can not begin to describe how terrible their service was. I went to check out and was accused of damaging their prop. The guy was extremely rude and said to go back down and view with the young man at the dock. The young man at the dock was the only decent person at the Marina. He immediately said "no you guys are fine, I told him (the office guy) it was the boat before you". No apology when I went back to the office....simply overcharged me for gas. It was bad enough I was charged an "upgrade fee" that was not indicated on the Groupon, but a week later I received a double charge for the fee. I had to threaten to dispute with my credit card company and file a complaint with Groupon before he removed duplicate fee. Given the terrible service, I still filed a detailed complaint with Groupon. They were very responsive and provided a reasonable credit for my experience and the issue with the "upgrade fee", but I don 't think they took any action with the Marina as I see they are still offering them. Terrible boat and terrible service. Do NOT use. Shame on Groupon for continuing to support Belle Harbour Marina. ****Check the additional reviews under the ones that "do not count" at the bottom. We rented a deck boat and were really disappointed in the boat. The boat was extremely dirty and the seat cushions were ripped. It may be possible that because I used a groupon; they gave me the boat that was well beyond its expiration date. The staff was very nice, though. We had a 3 hour round trip drive to get to Tarpon Springs. The first trip was a bust. It was far to windy to go out but they said we could go anyway. They also said that once we got in the boat , there would be no option of resceduling if we thought it was to windy. It would have been nice if they had called us and let us know it was to windy. It would also been good to know once we got there that it was not a good idea to go out. They kept telling us it was up to us. We spoke to someone who knew the waters that did not work there that told us to NOT TO GO OUT. read more

Completely agree with the last Yelp review re: Groupon. Do not go to this place. First he was not going to take my Groupon. Then he said it wouldn't work because it was a selected holiday, which it wasn't (it was 1/3/15 and Groupons holiday schedule is from Christmas to New Years). When I showed him this Groupon, he got mad and said, "I select the holidays, not Groupon." He ended up taking my Groupon and charging an extra $100. What a terrible way to run a business. We purchased a Groupon for this company 1-1/2 years ago. We called late last spring to learn that the soonest we could get a pontoon the size we had rented was late August (this was in 2016). This was smack in the middle of hurricane season which made the reservation unlikely be able to be successful - not their fault or within their control. Throughout the year we made three separate reservations (they had very limited dates available for the size pontoon stipulated in our Groupon so there was a lot of schedule coordination that had to happen on our end), all of which had to be cancelled due to weather conditions. Again, not their fault. They did offer alternate dates if we wanted to "upgrade" our Groupon to a different boat. We declined this option as it would require we pay more money directly to them. The fourth reservation finally looked good. Because we were driving from Lakeland to Tarpon Springs (a two hour drive) we called that morning to confirm that our reservation was in good standing and our pontoon would be available. We let the company know we were coming in from Lakeland and would arrive about 10 am. They assured us that would not be a problem. So we set out. Just as we were pulling in to their parking lot my phone rang. It was Belle Harbour calling to let us know they would not have a boat available for us afterall. I explained we were out in their parking lot at that very moment and wanted to know why we had been told our boat was available and ready when that was not true. We were told the person we talked to may not have actually checked to see if that was true. When we asked what our options were given the circumstances (perhaps a different boat) we were told to schedule another date. It was so difficult scheduling with them in the first place and to now be told "sorry about that" was just unacceptable. We decided to cut our loses and let this Groupon go. We had invested so much time in this already that the thought of continuing the frustration would be too much. Please reconsider your choices with this company. read more

My mother and I attempted to reserve kayaks through Belle Harbour Marina. We called multiple times with no answer and none of our voicemails were ever returned. We headed to the marina thinking maybe their phones were broken and that we could reserve kayaks when we got there. The man working was incredibly rude, told us there was no way they could get us a reservation any time this week and claimed their phones were "shotty" and the best thing we could do in the future is continue to call and hope for an answer to reserve boats over the phone. I wouldn't recommend renting a boat from here. Our experience was pretty lousy because the fuel line was clogged and we had to idle for 3 hrs to return to the marina ( from Clearwater Beach). We called the marina...thinking we needed a tow. Things happen but the bottom line is they are selling a service. A little empathy, an apology and an offer to make it right was what I expected. Instead we got a weird used car salesman technique and watched as the gentleman tried to rip us off for $120 in gas. Going at idle this shouldn't have been more than $60, if that. The best part was as the fuel meter LED is running in the front office, no one was actually filling the boat fuel tank. The owner than stepped in, admitted it had not been run in a while and it was prob the fuel filter. So he comped us the gas, saving us $60. That got us out of their hair, but I really feel like we wasted $200 on a broken boat read more

We rented a pontoon 11 people. Very easy to check in and the guys help load and help us unload at the end. But the Pontoon was not enjoyable at all. Bench seating wasn't comfortable. The ladder was broken in half and made it very hard for some of our party to get back in the boat. The employees told us that they told the owners months ago about it. The boat only had a 90hp and seemed to get bogged down. We made the best of of the whole day. It was still better then not being on the water. read more

A friend rented a boat from here for a group of us to go to Anclote for the day. We had a fantastic time, but felt like they offered little in the way of information and safety run-downs. We handled it all okay, but they just weren't as thorough as some other places. Otherwise, everything was perfect. I purchased a Groupon for an 8-hr boat rental of the Hurricane 22' deck boat. I rented the boat for my daughter's 9th birthday so we had a total of 6 people on this boat. Overall, the experience was great. We took the boat out to Honeymoon Island for the kids to go shelling. There were a few minor items on the boat which did not work (trim off throttle, no stereo, etc) and the boat itself was in decent shape...looked like a rental boat which has been well used. The Hurricane has a nice Bimini top which is priceless in the heat of the Florida summer sun. The owner, Reed, and his son, Matt, were both very helpful and attentive. The most important thing is that my daughter and her girlfriends all had a BLAST. I would rent here again if I wanted to cruise the waters around Tarpon Springs. read more

I have rented boats a Belle Harbour on several different occasions and always been very satisfied with the boat and service. I do a lot of fishing and this is so much less expensive then ownership. Some concessions must be made but overall an excellent deal. read more

We rented a pontoon boat today using a living social voucher. We had originally reserved for a week earlier but cancelled within 24 hours because it was very cold and they had no problem rescheduling us. We had no problems with the boat, the service, or the instructions and enjoyed our day at sea in spite of the heavy fog that rolled in. It was a good thing we had the map provided by the marina and our smartphone gps as it was impossible to find the channel to return to the marina as visibility was so poor. We had no issues upon returning the boat and will rent again. You do need to follow instructions and be vigilant monitoring your depth or you may run into trouble and incur additional charges. read more

We used a Groupon and while the day of boating went as planned, the boat itself was rather old. The fuel gauge was broken and the basic upkeep was old the seat cushions needed replacing, the drivers chair needed replacing, but like I said the trip went well and the engine worked fine. Now why I gave it two stars. When we returned the gas price was $4 while the pump price land-side was avg. $2, but I guess marinas can get away with that. read more

He asked if I would just do it through them directly otherwise, he said, they would have to wait for their money from Groupon. We rented the boat. It had many problems including engine overheating. It took us 4 hours to get back. We were a little past the deadline of 4:30. They charged me an extra $100.00 for being late. Now they wont respond to my emails. read more

Called ahead of time to make sure they had a boat available. The only pontoon they had was a 22 ft. I told them I had a groupon for 8 hours for the 20 ft pontoon. They explained it would be a $75 up charge. I was ok with it. We showed up to rent the boat and everything was ready. The old guy inside was a jerk. Not friendly whatsoever and acted like he had a chip on his shoulder. Took off on the boat and didn't even make it out of the channel and the boat motor would not go all the way down. We had to idle out to the beach the entire way. It took us an hour to get out to the beach. The boat was in poor condition. The gas gauge didn't work. The seat were very high up throughout the boat you have no back rest and are unable to lean back against a seat. There is no cushion to the seats very worn and uncomfortable. The cushions have pins still in them that are supposed to attach to the fiberglass seats but no longer do. They are very sharp and cut one of the passengers. No radio or gps on the boat. When we got back to dock we told the young man who was helping dock the boat we had issues with the prop going all the way down. He copped an attititude and said it shouldn't need to go all the way down!? Let me say my family has over 20 years of boating experience and this is not our first rodeo. You also have to pay for gas. Just to go from the dock to nearest beach and back was $40 on top of the initial payment to rent the boat. There is no way we used $40 in gas! Please look elsewhere to rent a boat at Gill Dawgs or Tarpon Springs Marina similar price and I'm sure the customer service and boats are much nicer!! read more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience. The boat was old, dirty, crappy and dangerous. No doors on the pontoon boat which with young kids was not safe. Storage seats/benches were broken which made it very hard to open/close and we were constantly afraid the lid was going to take off a finger when closing. I would NEVER rent here again. read more

Run. Do not rent any of their houseboats. Had issues with ignition switch after driving towards honeymoon island. Thought we were gonna be stranded. But they finally answered their phone. Mechanic said to start it in reverse. (Who would have known LOL)worst part is on the return. When the little Aussie speaking guy tells you to head to the office. Don't budge. See how much gas they actually pump in. Stupid me shoulda stayed and watched but didn't. My bad. Comes to office and says we used 8 gallons. NO FREAKING Way. Gas gauge hardly moved. Yes it worked I could see 1-2 gallons. But 40.00 worth of gas. Couldn't prove it. Didn't stay there to watch what they pumped in. I think they try to screw Groupon people. Be vigilant and don't let your gear out of your site even for a minute when offloading it from the boat. The staff was busy helping with taking the gear off the boats and in the rush of a busy Memorial Day weekend and several boaters coming in at the same time someone took my Penn rod and reel. Shady business practices. Purchased groupons on several (like 4x) occasions and they "never" had the pontoon size the groupon covered available, even when calling 2 months before to reserve, haha. What a load of BS! Was forced to "upgrade" to their POS Tritoon for $75 more EACH TIME. And let me tell you how crappy those things are. Seats falling apart, sharp edges everywhere, NONE of the gauges work, motors are crap with low hp for such a large boat. Older Guy who answers the phone (office mgr) is a total a-hole who does not care about taking care of repeat clientele. We drove up from Sarasota (1.5 hour drive) and got there to essentially find out our boat rental had been cancelled by the marina - with no notice whatsoever. Purchased a Groupon and tried numerous times to schedule the pontoon boat trip. Finally agreed to pay an "upgrade" to get a date we could go. When we arrived the "upgrade" boat was old, ill-equipped and barely ran. We could not get the boat to go fast enough to produce a wake. We spent an hour idling out of the Anclote River channel and by then it was almost time to turn around so we would have time to return before the deadline. We rented a 18' Boston whaler for a day trip to check out the seas before buying our own boat. We couldn't have been happier with Belle Harbor and their staff. The guys were so helpful and gave us a lot of info of the area as well as their instructions for managing the channel couldn't have been more on point. I have rented from Belle Harbour on a few separate occasions. The first two times were wonderful and both myself and my friends and family enjoyed the experience. My 3rd time renting was not as enjoyable. I was told that this boat was only a few months old and in great shape. This was an outright lie. The boat had a broken throttle control held together by duck tape, exposed fiberglass, no stern anchor and no tilt/trim control for the motor. The was disappointing, but the attitude of the cashier/ fork lift driver was very disappointing. He was rude, uncaring and honestly, just not helpful. I presented my Groupon voucher and was told "Nice Try", but it would not be honored "because Groupon is not accepted on the weekend." I read the fine print very carefully and this is an outright lie. I raved about this place to my friends, but something has changed because this is used to be a fun place to go for a day on the water. Unfortunately, after this last experience and reading other's reviews, Belle Harbour Marina is NOT someplace I will be going back to again. read more

My wife and I rented a pontoon boat on Friday 8/28 using a Groupon voucher. I made the reservation 10 days in advance and told them we wouldn't arrive at 8:30 am but later. We arrived around 10:30 am, the staff expected us late and had all the paperwork in order. The staff spent 15 minutes showed everything we needed about the channel, markers, starting the engine, red & green buoys, etc. Everyone was very pleasant and respectful, in stark contrast to what I had expected based upon comments by some other reviewers. I cannot explain the difference in treatment but speculate that maybe the place has had a change of staff or the owner has taught the staff about customer relationships. In any case, it was a fun time and we would rent again, especially when family & friends visit. read more

Beware!!! We rented a 21 ft sea ray and they sent us out with 3/4 tank fuel and a bad prop. We had to get towed back in as one blade fell of the prop. Once back they charged $108 for fuel & $60 for the prop !!! We barely ran the boat for 30 minutes before having to get towed. Wrecked our day and they charged for the prop plus overcharged by $80 for gas. I've boated a long time and never seen a prop blade come off, they must have put on a bad prop and keep charging people over and over for it. (see other reviews). After telling them it was only 3/4 full of gas when we started he called me a liar even though we had 3 witnesses. He and the manager then began to curse at us. Crazy!! Remember, our day was wrecked and they stuck us with excessive charges... I should have read other reviews as this seems common for their business. Absolutely rude and terrible people!!!
