Based on other reviews I've seen this appears to be common practice, overbook, over promise, and under deliver. I bought 4 Michelin tires at Bell tire and had them mounted. I had to return 3 times within an hour and a half to get my tire sensor to stay off. They put a different size tire on one side and finally discovered that was the problem. I had to waste a whole afternoon at Bell Tire. read more

I had work done on my bmw 6 yrs ago. When I picked up the car the salesman told me I had a broken rod on the front arm of the car.. they wanted me to pay 1100 dollars. I had a second opinion by the bmw dealor and it turns out that everything on my car is in perfect working condition. Belle tire on Plainfield lied to me. Everyone was super friendly and happy to help. Waiting room was great, multiple flat screens, coffee, and a tv monitor with the status of each customers service order.... Was very disappointed with my last visit to get my tires changed. When I went back to pick up my car after the tires were replaced, they had lost two of my middle rim caps.. They did agree to order and replace my caps, but decided to order them in the wrong color. When I asked for them to order the caps in the right color, they put the blame on me and said that it is because my car was painted and that that was the reason my caps were falling off instead of just ordering the right caps that they lost on the first place. He told me he couldn't help me today but I could come in Monday. A competitor (one who sells Discount Tire(s)) was able to assist me without prior notice and the same closing time. Their low rating is deserved. They love you when you buy a set of tires but good luck getting a service appointment after the sale. You can drop your car off and MAYBE they'll get to it by the end of the day but no guarantee. Want to make an appointment? Plan on a two day wait. I've been going to Belle Tire for as long as I can remember. I am so thankful for them. Dropped my car off before business hours for a slow leak. They found a nail, fixed it up and called me before 10:00am and told me I was all set. I love that they don't charge for this. It's a great way to make sure we continue buying our tires from them. Had an appointment to get 4 new tires. I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment time, waited in line and was acknowledged by the person checking people in. They knew I had an appointment and told me to park and wait for them to come get my info. Multiple people were pulling in and they kept helping them first. After 20 min I asked how much longer and they finally came over to take my info. Originally I was told it would be about an hour appointment and planned accordingly for my work day. By the time they took my info it was 20 min into that time and then I was told bc there were now 3-4 people a head of me that it would be at least another 1.5 hours. Why make an appointment and quote an end time if neither of those things are kept? Due to my schedule I had to leave. I went down the road and made an appointment for the next day with one of their competitors. read more

I went into this location today for a tire rotation and tire patch. I shared with the desk worker that my ex-wife had a bad experience with this location as they told her that she needed 4 new tires (costing 1100.00) because one of her tires was defective. I took her car to another shop (M-91 tire in Belding). They patched her tire for five dollars and gave me the impression that she was misled. Anyways, I told the desk worker that I only wanted the service I asked for with no upsale attempts. He responded by telling me to take my keys and leave! I did not have kind words for him walking out the door! This is an example of horrible customer service! I filed a grievance against this fool and took my car to MEEKHOF Tire! This individual who waited on me shined a terrible light on this operation as a whole! He should not be the face of the business! The guy is a huge liability and needs to not work with human beings! I came in with a tire that was leaking. This has been an issue before with tires from them. I was told that it would take 40-90 minutes to resolve the issue. After two hours of waiting i check the progress because I was pretty annoyed at how long I had been waiting. Turns out they hadn't even started with my car. I told them I had to be somewhere by 4 and they said it would be done by 4. It is now 3:50 and I will be late for where I need to go. I got there at 12:30 on a Tuesday and my tires are under warranty so it should be free. I'm also 19 so I'm assuming because I'm young and because it's under warranty that they are not giving me the service I deserve. This experience has been terrible and not the first time I've been dissatisfied with the service they provide. They finally finished at 3:56. I'm glad I got to spend a large portion of my day off in their waiting room. read more

Leaky tires are the worst. Fortunately, we purchased the tire protection plan so we were only out another $41. The shop was extremely busy so there was not much in friendly customer service. The representatives were very blunt and almost defensive about the wait times. I scheduled an appointment and returned later that afternoon just to find out they did not have my tire in stock. Made another appointment today - wait time was better. All in all 3 hours and two appointments to get a screw out of a tire. Thankfully, they do good work. read more

I have always been treated like garbage at this Belle tire. Condescending mansplaining technician who can't see that a car is 4 wheel drive and not all wheel drive. They may be treated the same way but a 4 is not an A. So I took it a block away and got all 4 tires replaced after talking to a technician who treated me better. read more

I rarely write bad reviews, but for bell tire I'll make an exception. I went to this bell tire to replace a headlight bulb that that burnt out. I called before I went was told they had the bulb, it would cost about $15+tax and probably wouldnt charge labor depending on how it was put in, some cars are more difficult than others. The only reason I wanted to go someplace was because I'm not much of a car guy and it had taken me over an hour to replace the other headlight bulb myself because the battery was in the way and I didn't know what I was doing. When I get to bell tire they say they don't have the bulb in stock, but it should be 10 minutes because NAPA is just a few doors down and across the street. I literally could have walked to the NAPPA and back in 10 min. The 10 min turns into 45 because apparently they forgot the bulb. If this is true, which it very well may be, they could have told me sooner or sent someone over to pick it up. When the part finally got there it took about 10 l for them to put it in but they charged me 30 min labor, and refused to waive it considering I had to wait an hour for it to get done when originally told it would take 20 minutes. Since then that same bulb has gone out, the one I replaced myself lasted longer, and when I replaced the same bulb I paid $45 for Bell Tire to replace it took me 10 minutes tops. Needless to say that will be the last time I ever give you my money to bell tire! read more

I didn't know Belle did windshields, but found out while researching that they not only offered mobile windshield replacement, it was almost $75 less than the next closest competitor for my daughter's car. When the day of install came, they called me to let me know they were on the way, did the work in my garage (without adding a mobile surcharge), and did the work perfectly. No mess, no fuss. I am in town from Chicago because my dad is having open heart surgery. I woke up at the hotel the morning of the surgery to find myself with a completely flat tire. I needed to be to the hospital by 11:30 to see him before he went under. I managed to make it here. Within an hour, they patched the flat and got me to the hospital on time. I called Belle Tire looking for a new windshield. They wanted a high price of just over $200 and that was with a discount for being an Advance Auto Parts Employee. I got a quote from Safelight for $188. I then called belle tire saying Safelight will do it for that much and they said they can do it for $160!! I said "Perfect!!" I set the appointment on Friday for Tuesday the 20th. John Was the employee who came out to do the job. He went above and beyond! He came to my work while I was working and it started to rain. (it wasn't going to on Friday when I made the appointment) He not only put on the windshield, but he cleaned my dash a little bit, especially the spot that is hard to clean because the windshield is in the way. He also cleaned up the vin barcode and that area, including getting a few bugs out. He treated me with the most respect a Belle Tire employee has ever given me or my parents whenever we would go to them. If you ever go to this belle tire Rob is by far one of the best managers I've dealt with. I highly recommend going there because they do what you ask and always go above and beyond!! read more

After purchasing at least ten sets of tires for four cars in six years, it's been quite a chore to get any sort of extra attention from Belle. On Saturday, they rotated snow tires on our car. On Tuesday, the two tires on the driver's side were virtually flat. Belle said they were too busy to help my daughter at 3:00pm on a Tuesday, but they were comfortable telling her she would be okay to dive 80 miles to her destination, but "get your car in to Belle tomorrow ASAP" . I didn't have it done then however a couple of months (and a couplr more chips) later I called to get it done. They got it in quickly and had my Liberty back quickly with no hassle. I made a mistake and got RV tires from a car shop, purchased 7 new tires for my RV and they got them changed and few days later inside dual was flat, back up to get it fixed, when it went flat again and I drove to facility to get help, they did not have time, they actually told me to go to a different shop. I was always nice and never used any attitude , but I felt like I received some, tires had about 1000 miles on when second flat accrued, tire did not have any problems, install problem. We have had nothing but problems. Give our cars back to us with missing parts. Bought tires with 60,000 mile warranty that had leaks and flats and now is blown and they want $75 to fix under the warranty. Some fine print they are just now pointing out. What's worse is all the other tires now have to be replaced as well because if all the leaks the all wore funny and they will not help with that cost at all. what a joke! read more
