Honest people and great service! In the past 3 mos, I've had two separate tire issues. The first time, I had to have my car towed there as it wouldn't hold air at all. They could've easily tried to sell me a brand new tire, but instead they found a used one - the same brand as my other 3 tires and with the same amount of tread for way less than a new one. Two mos later, a different tire of mine had a leak and they patched it up within five minutes of me stopping in without an appointment. Very accommodating! read more

Been a customer for over 30 yrs. Sent my wife in to have a couple loose tires put on some rims today. She was told it would be an hour wait. She returned to check on status five minute early...and overheard the tech blurt some profanities and express his frustration for her early inquiry. Not what I expected to hear from Midwest!! A bit overpriced in my opinion, but I usually don't mind paying a little premium to support the smaller shops. Haven't had a chance to inspect the work yet, hoping their quality is still good...since they obviously felt rushed. read more

I swapped out my winter tires for my summer tires at a big-box tire store. I had an instant chrome leak on the rims, so I knew if they sanded it down and sealed it correctly, the issue should go away... albeit only a while. They did a half ass sanding with a wire brush and sealed it with a watered down adhesive (possibly water??) by the follow morning I had one low and one flat tire! FYI- these rims can not be purchased anywhere in the country; they were discontinued in the 22" version, so you can only get 20". I called MWT this morning. I told them I had chrome leaks and issues with the seal. They told me to swing in after work, and they'd take a look at it. They were confident that it would be a pretty simple fix....and it was! I was in and out in about 20 minutes! Honest team with the philosophy of doing it right the first damn time! Less hassle for the customer and a satisfied one to boot! I had forgotten what honest customer service really means to me....I will return! read more

Excellent customer service, I ordered a wheel off of Ebay for my F Type Jag and after a couple of weeks there was a minor issue with the finish. I went in and the guys at the desk told me to check around even though they had everything I wanted right in front of me. They won't just take your money and are upfront and honest. They have every kind of wheel and tire you can think of and if they don't they can order it. It felt Like I was home when I was there and there was a couple guys just hanging out and talking I felt Comfortable when I was there. I picked out some gold wheels that they steered me towards. Terrible service, they snapped a stud from a new tire they changed and then denied it! I would never recommend anyone to use their services. Also I actually tried to get a used tire and they told me come back in a few hours they would have me covered, come to find out they were going to give me a racing slick for the winter, so I had to purchase a new tire. I expect you to sell me a racing slick for the winter. And the stud your people snapped was a few weeks old plenty of time to rust with the rain we've had. read more

Went to Midwest to find some wheels for my Colorado. Discount and Belle tire only had 1 to choose from. Todd at Midwest right up front told me Colorados were the hardest to get wheels for, but found 4 choices for me. I ordered them and and they arrived in a timely manner. They look great. The thing that most impressed me about Midwest was Todd's knowledge about anything people came in and asked him about and the fact that they have been there since 1965 how clean and organized the place was. First impressions are everything to me and this place and all the crew were cordial and great to work with. Be warned. They don't thoroughly test to make sure your tire no longer has a leak in it. Bought a used tire from them for over 60 bucks. Had to go back a second time, because there was also a leaky valve stem. When I called before going back the second time, I asked about the cost, he said "don't worry about that". However I was charged another 20 bucks. If they can't bother to spend a minute dunking or spraying the tire to check for leaks, or keep their word, I'm not coming back again. read more

My all season Bridgestones were less than 2 years old, noisy and vibrating like crazy. I bought them online and had a service station install them. Big mistake. I went and saw Todd at MW and gave me a great deal on new Coopers. I was in and out in less than 40 minutes and the Cooper tires ride like a dream. I got a nasty flat tire last night and this angel man was walking by and helped me change it! He recommended Midwest Tire as I'm a student and not from Grand Rapids. He told me Todd and Scott were really nice and wouldn't swindle me just because I'm a girl. I got right to the shop at 7:55 am today and luckily they had some cancellations so they could get me in! (Otherwise I would have had to wait 5 days because it's their busy season) They checked to see if they had my tires and found a great condition used Michelin tire (for my GMC Terrain) that was the same as my others! The whole thing took 20 minutes and cost only $82. Midwest Tire made my unfortunate flat tire into an easy, enjoyable and quick experience that didn't take much time away from my job. I have bought a couple sets of tires for my wifes car since they have the best tires for her car that work really well in the snow. We had the have a tire replaced since the car ran over something and the tire could not be fixed. The one thing I wish is that they had some road hazard coverage so I wouldn't have had to buy a whole new tire. We have had issues with one of the tires loosing air after a long period of time and they have checked it out but it keeps doing it. read more

Horrible place!!! I bought a set of tires for my truck an come to find out they put the wrong tires on my truck! I contacted cooper tire since they were cooper tires an was told the tires that were put on my truck should have never been used. I then contacted the owner of Midwest and explained my situation, and he replied with, that was what you asked for. So it's not my problem! I was not once told these were the wrong tires. I contacted other tire company's explaining the situation and they all responsed with, we would have never placed those tires on your truck do to safety reasons. Midwest doesn't even use a computer system for there customers to keep track of statements. It's there word over yours and there always right, when in turn they were completely in the wrong and now 20,000miles later I have to buy a new set due to safety reasons. And Midwest will not help with a new set, and cooper tire won't even back to the costumer when they said themselves the wrong tire was placed on my truck!!! DO NOT DUE BUSNIESS WITH MIDWEST!!! You will regret it,there service is horrible!! read more
