At one point, I saw the wedding coordinator walk out to the street to motion a traveling bar cart to lower their singing as the wedding was going on. An Indian man, I didn't catch his name, was routinely walking around and asking everyone if there was anything they needed and insuring everyone was having a great time. He was super personable. The bartenders made excellent drinks and smiled the whole time. Good for them because my face would hurt from smiling that much. The event space itself, perfect for a small wedding, was beautiful and cozy and clean. I would definitely recommend hosting any event here!

Whenever we would correspond via email, the responses we received were not clear and did not answer our questions. I was told that they do not typically send the contract until the initial 25% deposit has been made... but why would anybody make a deposit without reviewing the contract first? Made no sense to me. In an attempt to finalize the menu so I could submit the final payment, I reached out to the company three weeks before the wedding because I had not heard from them. I was then told they could not get any crabmeat for months due to the shortage. . . The crab meat shortage was not in their control, but if they had known for months that it would be difficult to source crab, they should have reached out to notify me so I could make menu changes accordingly. Crab was in one of our entrees and our appetizer. They were able to accommodate a last minute change when we decided to add desserts, so we appreciate their flexibility on that! We went with mini cheesecakes, cannolis, chocolate covered strawberries, and mini cookies. All were delicious! Three days before our event is when I finally received our finalized menu and the menu was INCORRECT. I had been asking for this menu for weeks and when they finally submitted it to me, it was incorrect. Luckily, it was able to be fixed and the menu was correct in the end. I was told by someone in the office that they had tried contacting me by phone the week before to finalize the menu . . . I had no missed calls or voicemails or email correspondence from them at all. Despite the difficult correspondence, the wedding catering service, could not have gone more smoothly. The caterers arrived on time and were very kind and professional. The food was delicious, the buffalo cauliflower bites were a hit! We also went with the chicken at the ritz, flat iron steaks, and vegan mushroom ragout over polenta for our buffet entrees. We got many compliments on the food! If it weren't for the way things were handled prior to the wedding, I would give them 5 stars for their service. However, the lack of communication throughout the entire process was a total disappointment.

(Christi is my go to caterer but was booked). I spoke to him and told him that we were looking for a picnic type dinner and he asked me to send an email since he was in the kitchen and not taking notes. I did so and waited to hear back. And waited. I called him today to see if he had received my email and got the response of "yeah, but I don't really check emails". Okay, but you asked me to email you. He then asked what my budget was and when i told him it was approximately $15 per person he balked and said that he doesn't offer lunches for under $17. Then he went on and on about how much party supplies cost, etc. etc. Now, I'm sorry, but this is not the first event I've put on. I know how much a tent is going to cost. I know how much party supplies are. But to have me assume that we were booked and then to learn that you're just not interested is a shoddy way of doing business. I understand if you can't meet my budget, but tell me so; don't lead me on. I'm not scrambling to find a caterer in just over a month's time. Buyer beware is my warning. And just for the record, Pine Valley Market always meets my budget and the food is exceptional.
