I found this company on Groupon but was told by the owner that being charged by the hour would be cheaper. Weird, fine. I understand that Groupon takes a majority of the sale. But the movers showed up 35 minutes late and did not call to say that they would be late until 25 after their scheduled time. The two movers we had did not wrap our dressers or do anything to keep the drawers from falling open, which made them over slower and scratched the walls. They didn't have the right tools to take our bed apart or didn't know how to because it took them forever. At the end, they could not take our credit card for payment because the person who takes the number over the phone wasn't answering so my boyfriend had to drive around looking for an ATM. Beware- They charge by the hour and will run up the clock and tell you "oh well". They made my experience moving into my first home extremely stressful. I found Belles via Groupon and checked the reviews and thought they were ok. I reached out to schedule and the lady I spoke with was super nice and accommodating, if the move was reflection of her, it was going to be great. Except it wasn't, the crew came and realized they forgot their tools to disassemble my bed (still I was patient and understanding, the movers assured me they'd only charge me for 2 hours). I guess they can't make decisions on their own and started moving my boxes slower because they were trying to get in contact with Jose who was not answering. For 20 or so minutes, one mover was just sitting around waiting. Finally they left to buy the tools and brought back the cheapest tools you can imagine. It took the ONE hour ($202) to disassemble my bed! I've moved across country 5 times with this bed and it's only taken the move crew 20 minutes to disassemble..because they have the RIGHT tools. When I reached out to Jose, his response was "well we do this as a courtesy ". I guess in his mind that is justification to run up the clock. Wow. It was taking so long that we didn't even have them put the bed together at my home, we did it ourselves in 30 MINUTES as a non professional.Plot twist: Jose assured the boss would call me back the next day, are you surprised that never happened? Truly disappointed in this experience, there's so much more I can say but this review is already long. I will be taking it up with my credit card company. My question is, why even risk the bad review, chargeback and bad business, when all this company had to do was make it right for the customer and figure out how to fix their internal processes/policies for the next time. What a horrible experience. DO NOT HIRE THEM. They said they were going to deliver our belongings right after packing them and then called after we were waiting for an hour at our house late at night to say they decided they weren't coming. This was a complete surprise and shock to us as they had literally all of our belongings. They said they'd bring our belongings first thing the next day and didn't arrive until 9PM. It took a ridiculous 6 hours to move my 1bedroom apartment to a condo! I had everything boxed up and set aside and only needed help dismantling the bed. CROOKS! Do not hire these people especially if you are an older person! Hired them for an emergency move in 06/2020. They got there, found out stuff wasn't in boxes and said they couldn't help me. I had explicitly explained it on the phone and they said they could do it. Then Jose Flores asked if I needed boxes, so he sold me $468 worth of boxes and packing stuff. About that time the new owners showed up with their movers so the Belle guys took off, with my $468 of stuff! Then my new movers came and it was total chaos and I forgot about them until I found my receipt in August. I bet I've called twenty times and they haven't returned one, always BUSY. If they're that busy they can afford to return my $468. If these people are willing to treat an old woman like this what else are they capable of? DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! This company is a total scam artist. They showed up and were 2 hours late. We've moved several times and have used alot of moving companies. It usually takes 3 guys about 2 hours to pack and 2 hours to unpack a 2500sqft house. This time, we were in a 1200 soft house with a majority of our stuff in storage. It took these guys over 5 hours to move a 1200sqft house. They didn't wrap/protect any furniture and damaged alot of our furniture, appliances, and caused alot of damage to the houses we moved out of and into. They dropped a gun safe permanently locking it up (thank god i took my stuff out). Now I'm out a $3200+ safe my father left me when he past away. They also blared racist music while moving right across the street from a Christian school. In total, we are out several thousand dollars in damage, and they will not even attempt to pay use back. I even offered to let them buy me a cheaper quality safe. I called the Owner Lea Ann Rust and she admitted what they did was wrong and promised to reimburse us. She gave us the run around for over 2 months before disappearing and changing her number. Her employees are telling us that she took the company's money and left without paying them. She owes Josh over $3000 allegedly. By the way, her trucks have been suspending by the Tx DMV. If she's caught using them again, she could be arrested. One of the founders of Belles Movers personal business vehicles was being driven by one of the employees, Josh. He ran a stop sign in this vehicle, wrecking into my Cadillac that was parked in front of my house. There are children who live in this neighborhood that play outside all of the time. This happened on May 23rd of this year. It is a week into June, and I still haven't been compensated for my vehicle. It turns out that the company doesn't have insurance on the company car. My Cadillac was used to drive my family around and go to work. When I spoke to Lori at Belle's Superior Moving about what I would be moving, by phone, I was specific on what items would be moved - including my refrigerator. I am novice mover and wanted to be clear. We set the date. After loading the truck and driving to the storage unit to deliver, the guys - while still on their truck - began putting my fridge on the dolly. They did not use padding and did not strap it to the dolly. So, when they leaned it back to roll, the fridge slid and they had to put the dolly down, thus laying my fridge down on it's side. This dented and scratched my fridge. I immediately took pictures of the damage and texted them to the company. I did not hear from them for 5 days! I had to contact them about how they would fix the fridge 5 days later. They said they have never had this happen before and asked if I had any suggestions. I was shocked they did not know how to proceed as I assumed by their website and speaking to them, that they were a professional business. The next day, they said that per their liability contract, they could give me $0.60 per pound which was a $150 discount. When we spoke about my move, I said I wanted to be sure they were covered as I had expensive items to move. Never did they once make a recommendation for me to buy more insurance. The $150 discount will NOT pay to fix my fridge. I am not even sure it will work as they laid it on it's side - and I know you are never supposed to do that to a fridge. They didn't even offer to send someone out to look at it or give an estimate on fixing it. The guys they sent me were completely unprofessional and the cause of the damages. I would have bought extra insurance had I known that was an option. These pieces were very important to me, as they were given by my grandmother. My items should have been delivered in the manner in which they were received, period. Lori from Belle's said she would consider a reasonable solution if it were offered. I asked that they fix my fridge, and she came back at me with only offering the $150 discount again. I am not sure if she understands what decent customer service is, but it's not just lip service. She should have done more - at minimum, given me my total bill of $502 back to me, or fix the fridge. read more

I came across Belle's Superior Movers via Groupon. I was hesitant since they are a very new company but since I'd used moving services before through Groupon successfully, I decided to give it a try. Though LeeAnn has a sweet personality and clearly wants to provide personable service, the experience was overall unprofessional and disappointing. Before purchasing the Groupon, I confirmed that the requested date was available with the only rep I spoke with, LeeAnn. Rather than respond to emails so I could document and track information, I would received phone calls, usually during the day, which I'm sure meant to be personable and attentive but was ultimately inconvenient at work. I was emailed, through text message, a photo of a contract with no additional instructions, which I found strange and unprofessional. The form required Sender (me) and Courier (mover) signatures at the bottom. I printed the photo, signed the Sender lines, scanned it into an email and asked for the countersigned form along with instructions on how to pay using the Groupon. LeeAnn was very confused by my email and didn't understand how to access the attachment. I repeated that I needed the contract countersigned and requested she only use email moving forward, as it is more secure, reliable and easier to track. It was then that she responded that she didn't understand what she needed to sign, she didn't know how Groupon worked and that I should reach out to them with questions, and that my date was conveniently no longer available. I was shocked by her response and quick dismissal. I was very grateful I was able to refund the Groupon. Overall, I think the customer service intention was good but unfortunately doing business in 2017 requires less chatting on the phone, more professional behavior and knowledge of basic technology, like email and PDFs. Texting high level information is just not professional. New business or not, any contract will require both parties to sign and this process should not have to be explained in detail, particularly to the person sending the contract. Furthermore, if any company is going to advertise on and use Groupon, they should have some basic understanding of how it works. I needed to move an empty 300 gallon, 8'x30"x30" aquarium and stand from my home in Lakeway to an office in south Austin. Royal and Jose showed up on time and were awesome moving my aquarium. Not only did they move my aquarium and stand, they moved a bar with a 2" thick granite top. LeAnne was great to work with and was so friendly. Great moving experience! Punctual arrival and the guys got moving right away. We had some awkward furniture to move and they were able to handle it perfectly and without complaint. They took great care to not damage the items or home. They movers went out of their way to help us with issues we had and were very knowledgable! Pricing is fair and competitive compared to other companies we researched. Keep in mind that a 2 person team isn't going to move you super quick so if you have tons of furniture and a huge house, a bigger team might be more cost efficient for you. VERY disappointed. This moving company is contracted out by SML who is part of Penske trucks. They only sent 2 men for a 4 man job. What they do is give you a good quote on a 2-hour move. I feel that they know it will take longer than 2 hours and this is how they really make their money. It took them over 4 hours to move us and because they trashed our dresser they only charged us for the two hours. They know that all moves are going to take more than 2 hours and this is how they bank. It cost over $100 per hour when you go over 2 hours. If it wasn't for them trashing our bedroom dresser, we would have had to pay an additional $250. The two gentlemen who moved us were very nice and polite. Very apologetic for trashing our dresser. We don't hold anything against them and we feel they did the best they could with just the two of them. I put full responsibility on the company itself for only sending two guys to move us. One of the moving guys said they would come by later that day to pick up the trash dresser and dispose of it so we would not be charged by our landlord for disposal. Fingers crossed that he did it. I've only used one moving company in my life, and it was Belle's, and I will never use anyone else while in the Austin area. I was moving from a home to a 3rd floor apartment, and wasn't able to take any of my big items of furniture. They got it all done and moved in; in an hour and half. We hired them for our move. We told them exactly what we have. Moving from 3 bedroom home to 4 bedrooms. But have 2 extra bedroom set need to move to new place. Two men showed up with 16ft truck and they took 10 hours to move. Our new place is only 2 miles away from old place. We end up paying 890 dollars, that's over our budget. We did same service with another company who came with more 3 men and bigger truck and they finished in 4 hours and we paid only 500 dollars. All the staff and Belle's service is good but it was ridiculous they took 10 hours for the move and we paid so much more. Always ask them first how long it will take before they start. read more

I am unfortunately writing this review not as a customer but as a resident who had the pleasure of dealing with the employees and management of this company. Today, Easter Sunday, I was on my way out of my apartment complex to run some errands. when I opened my garage to leave their moving truck was blocking my exit. I told the guy who was an employee that he needed to move his truck so I could leave. He replied with I have to finish this then I'll move it. After a few minutes of no real effort to get what he was doing accomplished he went back to moving items from the truck. I proceeded to call the management of Belle's Movers moving company. The response I received was not an apology but a: "well the employee will move it when they can." They actually had to call the driver before he moved the truck. 1 hour later I return to find the truck is again blocking my garage. All of the guys look at me and just keep going about their business. Management does not answer my phone calls, not a surprise. So all in all they really do not care if they ruin everyone around their business's day as long as they can get paid. If you are looking for a PROFESSIONAL and COURTEOUS moving company I suggest looking elsewhere. Or go with them and make all of your new neighbors really happy to meet you!!!! read more
