OH MY GOSH THESE GUYS ARE HEROES!!!!! I will never use another moving company again. They are the absolute best. This is my second move in less than two years and my last experience with Two Men and a Truck was horrible. MASH showed up right at start time and made magic happen. I thought I only wanted help with big items but I will be hiring them for the rest of the move instead because they were so efficient and worked tirelessly to complete the move. My old house, my new house, all of my stuff is in the exact same condition it was before we moved. We moved with MASH at the end of August and they were fantastic! Our crew was David, Thom, and Daniel. They were fantastic. They made everything so easy and were wonderfully professional. I especially loved that they expertly took apart our ikea couch and then put it back together in the new place. They made communication super easy and are very responsive. This was the 3rd time we have hired Mash Movers. Two have been local but this move was from Austin to Port Aransas, TX. We built a second home and they moved furniture and household goods all in boxes. They unboxed all the furniture and built the beds, etc. Dan, Collin and Tom were awesome. Disclaimer: I waited to write my review until I saw how they responded to the issues I had with our recent move. In short, their actions in addressing major issues their team caused during our move lacked professionalism and did not indicate they have high enough standards for their teams and quality of work. We hired MASH to move the heavy items for a local move (beds, consoles, etc), and one positive thing that was consistent was they hustled throughout! However, there were several aspects of their service that ended up creating more hassle for us than was worth it in the end. The first thing they did when they got to our house was ask to use our bathroom, which would normally be fine, but two of the three movers proceeded to take big dumps! They were about 45 minutes early, which makes me think that stopping at a gas station may have been the better move. Two of the guys were normal, but one of the dudes was pretty weird, like he was on drugs or just a cracked-out individual. That's also usually fine, but he turned out to be fairly problematic. This guy was in charge of disassembling and reassembling our bed didn't put it back together fully, leaving two structurally important pieces dangling loose while losing the hardware, as well. Once again, it would have been fine if he let us know that there was an issue, but we first found out when we tried to sleep in the bed the first night! He also was responsible for hooking up our washer and dryer. What he did was probably the worst option he could have chosen. He very loosely (like barely hanging on) hooked up the hoses, which I luckily caught before turning anything on. What I didn't catch was he completely left the waste water hose dangling on the floor, which we discovered when our new laundry room flooded to the point of running through 2 walls and into adjoining rooms. Once again, mistakes happen, but this guy was acting like a weirdo the whole time and obviously going too fast to do a thorough job. When I contacted them via phone and relayed my experience, they reacted with the appropriate amount of concern and attentiveness. I was then passed up to a manager, who displayed less concern and was less attentive (not calling back the day they said they would), who promised to get back to me soon. No more phone calls after that, but rather a request via email to take pictures of the damage. This was followed up by an email saying they were taking $150 off, the end. No follow-up phone call. This left me feeling like they don't expect a high level of attention to detail or courtesy from their staff, and they don't heavily prioritize customer satisfaction if there ever is an issue. In summary, I wish we hadn't hired MASH to help move to our new house. Hiring them proved to create more work for me and damaged my lovely new home, which was a stressful bummer that left a bad taste in my mouth for those first few days in our new home. read more

Amazingly quick turnaround and super transparent about pricing. Even though it went a tad over what was estimated that's totally okay because Thom and Daniel treated myself and my property with absolute respect and were quick, courteous and great to talk to. I love that I'm supporting local artists and musicians as well, and even though going down three flights of stairs and back up absolutely suuuuuucks(I'd done it a bit a few days prior and was smoked), they kept a super positive attitude the entire time. We had the easiest move I have ever experienced with MASH movers. Not only is the name super appropriate for what these guys can move and from where (mansion, apartment, studio/swamp/shack/shed, house) but these gentlemen are kind, respectful of our belongings, and easy to work with. Scheduling was super easy and the communication & confirmation of our appointment was assuring especially in such a high stress time of moving. We were able to ask our concerns questions re: how to move our precious/delicate items such as a large screen tv and even our guitars & gear. The day of the move the guys that arrived had everything needed for a successful move including blankets, tape, wrap, bubble wrap, moving equipment, large long boxes, etc. We moved from a studio apartment to a 2/2 bedroom on the 3rd floor and these gentlemen made it look easy & we had absolutely no issues getting our things in safely and undamaged. Do yourself a favor and hire MASH movers to ease your worries, concerns, and stress about moving. We will not hesitate to call them when it comes time to move our next dwelling for sure. read more

Lies only work when there is not direct proof. 2) $400 was offered before even discussing the damage, per the sale and the hour of excess time. This is the best deal in town! Starting from the scheduling process - it was super simple. The team was efficient and communicative and I had a good understanding of what the entire process was going to look like. The guys were very quick, loading up my 2 bedroom apartment in a little over an hour and same for the unload at the new place. They came in with a plan which was appreciated! They also helped to unassemble two beds and unmounted a TV for me. Aside from a small ding on a treadmill (which I assured them was very cheap even when I bought it so it was not a big deal to me), everything was delivered in perfect condition. They helped to reassemble everything with no issues. Most of all - the pricing was incredible. Moving is stressful, because if the movers don't show up when they say they will... you're in a bad way. You worry you're going to get ghosted. So I really appreciated how they confirmed the appointment a few days before, and texted me the morning of the move to let me know their ETA. They were friendly, careful, and fast. Got all my stuff moved, nothing was damaged (property or walls/floors), and they put everything where I asked them to (even upstairs) and both took apart and then put back together a tricky queen-size bed. EDIT/UPDATE: "Seth," the owner (entitled), refused to speak to me on the phone because I let them know that I felt uncomfortable scheduling a service without a quote. DO NOT USE THEM. MASH Movers informed me that they were not available for my requested move date, even though the calendar online was open, AND I was able to confirm the appointment online. They provided no reason; would not return a phone call, did not return my text, and they have NO form or system online to get an accurate quote ahead of time - you have to go straight to scheduling. Even though their prices are online, there are factors that may affect the quote; such as heavy items, specialty items, and more. What kind of company says "we can't help you with your move" without providing a reason; when their calendar is open, AND I was able to schedule online? If the people who run this company are basing it on "someone's personality" without even speaking to them at all on the phone, they are precisely the elite, judgmental, and entitled group that they appear to be online. read more

We live on a 3 story walk up and had a monster of a mattress, but I didn't even notice them bringing it in... that's pretty cool. If I could give these guys 10 stars I would. First, the booking and my rescheduling were painless. Seth, the owner, and I communicated via my preference of direct text. Secondly, the 3 movers (I was moving from an overflowing 2 BR 2 BA home to a larger one about 5 miles away) arrived promptly at the 9AM requested time and got right to work. We were packed and ready, and they had their large truck loaded with 87 boxes and nearly all furniture and refrigerator in about 3.5 hours. They were super careful with all of the furniture and extensive artwork - wrapping what needed to be wrapped and ensuring that nothing got damaged. They took a short lunch break, not charging for that time of course. Upon arriving at the new home, they hooked up the refrigerator to the water line and placed all furniture where we directed them, even helping rearrange some pieces when we changed our mind about placement. Then they went back with the refrigerator from the new house that we were swapping, having to remove the handles and reassemble it to get it through the doorway once there. Finally, the last load of furniture and many, many outdoor potted plants arrived. Roughly the entire move took about 8 hours, and I'm sure they were exhausted but never complained or slowed down. Their attitude and expertise were amazing. Thank you movers Jake, Tim and Tyler. Hopefully we won't be needing you any time soon but when and if we do, they're the ONLY movers in Austin I'd use. read more

Needing to downsize, I've had 4 recent appointments with Mash Movers to redistribute a lot of furniture. They've always let me know exactly when they'd arrive, been very professional, and worn masks. They work hard to protect furniture, walls, and floors. My house is built up to a third-floor level because it's in the floodplain, and they carried a huge and heavy sleeper sofa up a ramp too narrow for the dolly to help. I can't believe I've never left a review for these guys. Because we are insane, we have packed up and moved houses 7 times in 5 years in 4 different cities. Needless to say.....we've had a lot of experience with movers. MASH is the best of the best. They honestly set the bar for top notch service and capability. When you are moving your life across the country and things will need to stay in the truck for several days, it's imperative that things are packed and secured. MASH did it so well.
