I agree with most comments here that Bellevue Pet Sitters are reliable in terms of providing pet care services and I really liked their online client portal for easy communication. I have booked cat sitting with them for 3 times since last year. We actually have everything automated at home (food, water, litter boxes), so our expectation for cat sitters is just to provide company for our three kitties. Anna and Emma were great with hanging out with them and making sure everything was ok. However, we had some issues when David visited our cats during our most recent trip. Maybe the behavior I'm describing below doesn't bother you and in that case I would recommend you to use their service. Though I think it is important for us to share our experience. We saw on our camera (which we told them about) that David found a box of nuts in our kitchen and ate some from it every time he was there. I couldn't care less about the value of the nuts but the lack of boundary really bothered me. This made us lose trust in him and wonder what he could be doing in our house when we are not around. It is a shame but because of this, we will not be booking any service from Bellevue Pet Sitters anymore. read more

If I could give 10 stars I would! I've been using Bellevue Pet Sitters for about 5 years. David is so great to work with. His system of scheduling, billing and updating information is so easy. I am sometimes forced to schedule with very little notice, and he has always made it happen for me. Ginger is absolutely next level! She adores my cats, and it shows in the pictures she sends me that they adore her. Her journal entries give me a perfect picture of what's going on with my fur babies, and help with the guilt I feel for leaving them. We were disappointed to find that BPS spent just 13 minutes with our elderly cat on Monday. We had thought they would spend 30 minutes for each pet sitting visit but when we checked the online log, we found that each day was well under 30 minutes. For 3 days, it was less than 60 minutes total. I spoke to owner Dave and he said they spend the time needed - they decide. Our expectation, based on the website description of a pet visit, is 30 minutes. While we got daily updates, which were great, it did not reflect the time they actually spent with our pet. We feel our very social cat missed out on some human interaction that we thought we had paid for. 5/7 Several days after I posted the review, BPS refunded us one day of pet sitting fees. That was a nice gesture that I wanted to acknowledge. read more

I seldom write reviews but I must say Bellevue Pet Sitters is without a doubt the best pet sitting service we've ever used. They are professional, responsible, and loving to all pets they take care of. We and Winnie, our cat, adore David. I got in touch with them on a short notice while the other sitter backed out. David was very accommodating to take on our request and quickly complete all the formalities. We have 2 cats who are very shy and never stayed alone for more than 3 days. So this was the first time we had to leave them in care of a pet sitter and glad that we chose Bellevue Sitters. All my instructions regarding caring of cats was properly taken care of and we were given daily updates on the visits along with the pictures of the cats playing. David does an amazing job of running the Bellevue Pet Sitters. I found them online through all the positive reviews on Yelp. I was traveling overseas for a couple of weeks and needed help with taking care of an older kitty who was on medications for a parasite infection. David did make a site visit to our home to learn where everything is kept and have a better understanding of the apartment rules about trash, security, etc. I was assigned to a pet sitter named June who was absolutely phenomenal with my two male kitties. I thoroughly enjoyed the daily pet journal with photos - what a great idea! When I returned home after being jet lagged, I found my home to be very clean, the cat food bowls were washed, the kitties were fed and the medications were given on time and most of all the kitties seemed happy and healthy. Keep up the great work! I would come back again anytime and not board my pets in a kennel. read more

I used Bellevue Pet Sitters over Thanksgiving weekend. David was wonderful! He sent me daily updates in great detail about how my cats were doing, how he played with each one, etc. When he couldn't locate one of them (all are inside cats) he telephoned me to express his concern. It turned out that she was just sleeping upstairs on her cat post but I appreciated his concern very much. If I could give no stars, I would. I used Bellevue Pet Sitters (David) twice previously, and while timely communication was NOT his strong point, I was able to schedule visits for my dog. The petsitters who came (not David) were very good. HOWEVER, I tried to schedule pet-sitting for the weekend of August 20 a month in advance. I requested visits through the member dashboard in July and sent him a message two weeks later when I had heard nothing. To date, he has never responded. I ended having to interview and contract with a new petsitting service at the last minute. I have messaged David requesting the return of my house keys (including my burglar alarm fob) and have heard NOTHING. At this point, I have lost money because I used Bellevue Pet Sitters, since I will have to purchase a new alarm fob to replace the one David has not returned. Plus, now there are a set of my house keys in his possession. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE. read more

David has been our pet sitter for over a year now. We love to travel so we've used his company quite often during the year. He has always been very reliable, trustworthy. My three cats have been greatly taken care of and entertained while we were away. David also went above and beyond, he even vacuumed our floor, which I never asked or expected him to do. My cats are like my babies, and having a petsitter like David gave me peace, comfort, and confidence knowing that they are in a hand of a very reliable person. I used Bellevue Per Sitter once last May and was happy with their services. However when I requested help again in November for an extended trip, they were very non-responsive. I contacted them via email, through the portal and called multiple times to confirm if they had found a sitter. Finally a week later, David called and said he had found someone. He just said he was sick, but never apologized about not contacting me sooner. Then, I let him know by that point I had already found another cat sitter, which he was frustrated about. I told him again I don't need his services at this time. He asked if I wanted my key back, which I thought was taking a big jump from not using his service one time, so I agreed. However, he never sent it. My husband called him again multiple times requesting to get our key, which he again never called us back or responded. We are still without our house key! read more

David Wasman and his team were very responsive and understood the issues associated with leaving an older and rather neurotic beagle. He came to our home twice to better understand what was needed, and also made sure that the person staying at our home overnight participated in one of these visits.
