Our senior cat was part of a trio, and we've lost both of his sisters, most recently this year, so we weren't sure how he would react to being left home. On top of that, he has quite the menu of cancer medication. Being able to leave him in a familiar, comfortable environment and knowing he would be cared for and get all of his medicine gave us such great piece of mind. Beware! The owner is hyper passive-aggressive and only wants things done her way. Also she was exceptionally rude during our first meeting. I unexpectedly had a work deadline crop up the day of our meeting and asked if we could move through our meeting quickly due, however she got irritated with that request and intentionally tried to drag out the meeting. New (overprotective and slightly obsessed) cat owner. Whiskers at Home (Joy, specifically) knocked it out of the park w/ taking care of our Siamese. We asked them to check in twice a day for 30 minutes ($28/visit) because our cat really loves being around people. We had an initial consult ($28 fee) to talk through where everything is, hiding places, and just to introduce the cat to the sitter. We told Joy about our cat's playing habits and she totally delivered -- Joy even ran up and down the hall w/ our kitty to really tire him out! It really felt above and beyond what a normal sitter would do. And, like everyone else says, they send an email to check in and check out, so you know when they're there. They also send a short recap w/ a photo. Although I felt nervous about leaving the cat behind, I wasn't ever nervous about how well Joy would care for him. 5 stars! Would definitely recommend and will definitely use in the future. read more

We used their services twice in the last 6 months and are extremely satisfied. The pet sitter was very nice to our two cats, always made sure our older cat would eat and drink enough before she left. I cannot recommend Whiskers At Home highly enough. We had an ill kitty that needed special attention (medicine every day) and Jessica and team were awesome. My husband and I have been clients of Whiskers At Home now for a few months and we couldn't be happier! We utilize the dog walking services three times a week and just had our first overnight pet sitting service for our dog and cat this past weekend when we were away celebrating our first wedding anniversary. I wish there were more stars to give to Whiskers at Home. I contacted them after reading other Yelp reviews and couldn't have made a better decision. I was a bit nervous about having a stranger in our home, but the references were good, and I was reluctant to board my "senior" cat. They come to your home for a visit before you leave to do a walkthrough of where everything is and your pet's routine. They even agreed to make sure our hamster was fed and our trash cans taken out and back in while we were gone. Each day we received an email of when they arrived, a summary of how the visit went, and when they left. Truly amazing and well above my expectations. One of the things you are asked to do is to sign a directive should something happen to your pet while you are away. We of course, did this, thinking that everything would be fine and it wouldn't be needed. Sadly, on the last scheduled visit, Jessica, the owner of Whiskers at Home, arrived to find our cat barely breathing and quite ill. She rushed him to our vet, where unfortunately, he could not be saved. Jessica tried to call several times and also emailed me when we couldn't be reached by phone. The compassion and empathy Jessica showed in her handling of this terrible situation was incredible. She came back and cleaned up/put away all of my cat's things so we wouldn't have to manage that when we returned home, and in speaking to her later, her affection for our cat was very evident. I would recommend Whiskers at Home without one bit of hesitation. read more

My husband and I have 6 amazing cats with some of them needing special attention. Jessica and The Whiskers At Home team are the absolute best and I truly don't know what I would do without them! Jessica is professional, highly dependable and always does what she says she will do. She always goes above and beyond, spending a lot of time playing with our cats, showing them genuine love so they don't feel lonely, cleaning up after them and more. Jessica really shows that she cares and understands our cats as if they are her own! Her love for them is simply unsurpassed. In addition, she is VERY knowledgeable when it comes to kitties. I'm naturally a chronic worrier and over protective cat mom, so the biggest thing for me is that I completely trust Jessica on all levels. I never worry when they are in Jessica's care! She is super with communication and she also uses this incredible technology tool called PawPrints that emails you when she arrives and leaves your house in addition to a very thorough email recap (aka report card) of the visit with photos. Lovely service that far exceeded what I would have expected. $30 a day for 1 cat and they sent us photos and text and checked our mail. They really get to know you and your cat. I echo another reviewer in my wish that I could give Whiskers at Home more stars. I booked with them when I had to travel last minute.J essica, the owner, got back to me right away, and she shifted her schedule to come over that night for the consultation. I was really impressed with the thoroughness of her questions and the notes she took about my cat's routine and needs, and with how professional she is in paperwork and procedures. She even left a brochure about emergency preparedness for pets - which I confess I had not even thought of. This great first impression held up throughout. I was supposed to be gone for 2 weeks, but due to deaths in the family, my absence turned out to be 40 days. Jessica was wonderfully supportive throughout, going way beyond what I could have imagined. She bought new toys and a scratcher for my cat, noticed she had fleas and found my treatment product, detected that my absence was wearing on my cat a bit and suggested adding in some hour-long visits, and did paperwork from here one Sunday to give her even more time. When I told her I was bringing home two more family cats, she volunteered to set up my spare bedroom for them, so I wouldn't have to scramble around when I got home with them. She was proactive and caring in so many ways. Even with other pet sitters I considered to be good, I have always arrived home to find my cats a bit stressed. I was amazed that after this 40 day trip, my cat was relaxed and in great shape. My plants were as well, and my house was cleaner than when I left. Whiskers at Home uses a QR code system. When Jessica or one of her staff arrive, they scan the "in" code, and an email is sent immediately to you to notify you of their arrival. You get another when they scan the "out" code when they leave - plus another with comments about the visit, as well as a photo or video. I found the comments really helpful, and I appreciated the small things Jessica and Jennifer did - like opening a window for my cat to enjoy, and setting up a chair in the sun for her. It was obvious to me throughout the 40 days that Jessica and her team aren't just going through the motions to make a living. They truly care deeply for their little charges, and really want to do all they can for you as well. I hesitate to leave a review because I would be so disappointed to not be able to use Whiskers at Home if they get booked up - but Jessica and her team deserve the glowing praise, and your business - they truly are wonderful, and the best I have ever worked with (over 20 years of having cats.) read more

I cannot recommend Whiskers and Home enough. From my first contact with them through email to coming home today from a two week trip abroad in Japan, they have been professional, attentive to detail, and an absolute joy to work with. Jessica, the owner, and Heather, one of the Bellevue sitters, came to our home for the initial consultation. I was impressed by their professionalism and the thoroughness of their questions about my cat Uma and what was needed for her during our absence. During our trip abroad, a QR system was used during check in and check out of our apartment and personal notes were scribed about the visit. All of this was emailed to us so we could read the reports on Uma's status plus pictures of her were mailed along with the comments. Heather sent very good notes about Uma as well as details on tasks performed during her visit. Being so far away, it really was a relief to know that Uma was being cared for so well. Upon our arrival home, Heather left us a very thoughtful welcome home note. We also asked her to pick up our mail and she went above and beyond and had it sorted. We will definitely use Whiskers At Home again should we need pet sitting services again. They are the gold standard for pet sitting. read more

The only reason I imagine this company doesn't have more reviews is because I think people are hoarding their information so it's easier to book their services. I can understand. I want to hoard their services, too. We wanted a cat specific sitter because the other companies we talked to all had dog walkers instead of cat sitters. Sure they could take care of a cat, but if I'm paying them that much and letting them into my house when I'm not there are they actually putting any effort into it? I find dog people and cat people are a bit different. If the cat isn't gonna jump all over them when they show up the dog people are going to leave after the food, water, and litter are set. They also don't necessarily observe enough to pick up the little clues of cat behaviour. OK, it really depends on the person. BUT, when we found Whiskers at Home we interviewed them long enough to really feel that they knew cats. They were also very very professional, which we completely appreciated. With professionalism comes reliable responsibility, I believe. You know how you pay a neighbor to feed your pets sometimes and when you ask they tell you they haven't seen your pet in a week but someone's been eating so they assume they're alive somewhere in the house? Well, Whiskers at Home won't do that. One of our sitters was even a vet tech so we felt even better about any health emergencies that might come up. While we were away we received regular updates and photos of how our cats were. They sent us observations which were spot on about our health-problematic cat and started doing additional services to make her more comfortable. We hadn't asked them to do these things when we hired them because we thought she'd bite the...stuffing out o'them. Apparently, she and the other cats loved Whiskers at Home so much she let them touch her. Wow. I got the distinct feeling the cats missed their two sitters when we came home. read more

For the first visiting, she asked to look around our house everywhere and each room! Even if we told her our cat doesn't go these rooms...She asked about the family life and personal life too! Her behaviors was not about business talking at all! We told her that we don't need her,we gave her twice money for the first visiting, but she still insisted to want to make it happen and stayed here talking talking as long as she wanted!
