However, a long night of bad tooth pain told a different story. I called North Sound Endodontics immediately when they opened at 8 a.m., explained my immense pain, and they were able to confirm my dentist's referral and have me in the chair by 11:30 am. A mere hour and a half or so later, I was pain free and my root had been successfully canaled. The staff here, from the kind of woman who answered the phone, to the front desk staff, to the assistants, to the endodontist herself, we're all first class. The facility itself was modern and clean. I felt safe in their hands, and heaven forbid I should need another root canal I would not hesitate to go here again.

What a terrible place. Don't go there!…read more Six months ago I needed a root canal. My dentist's usual root canal specialist was having issues so I got referred to North Sound Root Canal. At first things went well: they were courteous and professional. Dr. Simcock introduced himself briefly. The procedure was going fine until they get to the part where they use a bleaching agent. I had root canals before and I don't recall anyone else using bleach. Anyway, the mouth cover must have been poorly locked in place because the bleach starts dripping down into my throat. Just imagine, sitting there with your mouth numb and wide open, barely able to breath, with bleach burning into your throat! I had to make them stop. The doctor reacted like he didn't know what was going on. Anyway, this was almost the end of the procedure, he finished off and I was out of there. Strangely, no one in there was willing to talk about what happened. Fast forward to today. I am sitting in front of the TV eating milk chocolate and the crown on that same tooth comes off. My regular dentist takes a look and finds that the root canal doctor had left a temporary filling instead of a permanent compound. There was no explanation on my chart as to why, nor any indications to my dentist to remove the temporary filling with permanent compound. Over time, the temporary filling degraded and the crown came off. My dentist was able to remove the temporary filling, cleanse the area well and seal it back. But after giving $2,200 to North Sound for the root canal, now I am looking at having to spend thousands of dollars more on a new crown due to the incompetence of Dr. Simcock and North Sound Root Canal Specialist.

After he quickly finished the filling, while I was choaking on the chemical, I asked him if I could spit it out. His solution to the problem was to spray water into my mouth and tell me to swallow. His later apology was,"we try not to let that happen". The burning in my stomach lasted until late afternoon and the filling dislodged within 6 months and had to be replaced. I was in Mexico, for 6 months, at the time and was faced with a situation that's the stuff of bad dreams. I had the filling replaced there for $35 USD, thinking you get what you pay for. So the entire debacle cost a mear $1135. Time will tell whose work excel's.

You can do the responsible thing and pay your balance or let the account default. I have cancelled your next appointment and inactivated your account. You will receive a statement in the mail. each month until paid. All of the communication and patient intake prior to my appointment was great and when I arrived the team was very friendly and personable. The office was extremely clean and comfortable too! They got me seated in my chair and there was virtually no wait before the Dr. and his 'assistant' began to evaluate my problem. They were extremely aware of the sensitivity of my tooth and I felt very little discomfort for the entire appointment. They took x-rays, evaluated the issue, made some immediate adjustments and I was on my way. After the appointment (same day!) they followed up to see how I was feeling. Overall it was one of the best dental experiences I've had. if you are looking for a Bellingham dentist I highly recommend Dr. McRory and his team!

He talked me through the whole procedure before starting. And reassured me during the extraction that everything was going great. I have gone to this practice for a year now. I had a front filling done and a month later it broke…read moreoff. I came back in to get it fixed (for no charge which was good), but 3 months later the filling is yellowing and chipping. I do not drink coffee or eat sugar. When I asked them about this they said it was normal wear and tear and the filling would have to be redone every couple of years. My insurance company didn't cover all of this filling so I notified the office that I would be contacting the insurance company myself. The office was very persistent on calling me for payment. I have moved to Canada and no longer have insurance in the states. I called the office to ask to get my scans (including a panoramic whole mouth xray) sent to the office in Canada and they said that there was no record of this xray being done. I remember being charged for this and having it done so I called and explained to them that I had it done around my birthday before my insurance expired. After searching through my files, they eventually found the xray and said they would send it to the new Dentist. However, this was never included in the files and some blank files were sent over. When I called back to ask about this, they said it was a process to send files and they needed more notice. I am still confused why they are having trouble finding my panoramic xray in my files. Overall, Dr Bult seems friendly and it is nice to have an office with all women staff. I would use caution when it comes to general dentistry, the practice does not encompass a holistic view and there is no mention of nutrition and prevention.

I saw Faith Bult for some dental work back in 2006. They put in a filling that ended up not staying…read morein. When I went back to get it redone, the assistant started drilling on my tooth before the novacain set in even though I had told them my body is extra sensitive and needs more time than most people for it to set in. She drilled right on the nerve (I didn't realize she was going to start drilling so I couldn't say no in advance), and it was the worst pain I've ever felt. It was horrible. I saw blazing light and my feet flew up over my head. They let the novocain set in after that and finished the filling. But the new filling ended up not staying put either, it rocked back and forth. I called it quits then (I should have after the first filling), and went to another dentist who, upon looking at my tooth, asked me where I had gotten the work done. When I told her, she said, "Ah yes. We've seen many of her patients over the years. I'm sorry you experienced that." They couldn't put another filling in because Bult had drilled so much/wide that there wasn't room, so I ended up needing a crown. I've experienced ongoing pain from that initial appointment for 20 years and will likely need a root canal soon. I feel clear that if the initial cavity was filled correctly jt wouldn't be in pain (I've had other cavities filled without any problems). Bult never replied to my feedback, and never owned up to the mistakes of either filling or the drilling without novocain. I simply advise you to go elsewhere.

I was sick that day. I was offered an appointment for the next day but I was still sick. At that point, my appointment was rescheduled for July 13. This meant that, for 3 additional months, I had a space where the second tooth from the front belonged. I protested and wrote a personal letter to Dr. Wade with no result. On July 13 the receptionist tapped the implant and did an x-ray, and Dr. Wade stopped by for less than one minute. The whole appointment took barely 5 minutes. I still can hardly believe that Dr. Wade was unable to give me 5 minutes from his schedule to avoid 3 months with an empty space at the front of my mouth.
