They also have a very cute "Tunnel of Love" during February. This park is very dog friendly and there are bathrooms nearby too - just right at the Marriott hotel. They have some outside or if you prefer, you can go inside the Marriott and go up the escalator. FYI, right now the escalator is out of order, but you can take the elevator up to the UL. Oh, and they have a Starbucks right inside too. Next time you're in the area, check the park out for yourselves.

In any case, we're regulars now since the green grassy area provides a nice spot for dogs to meet up and play (this park is explicitly NOT off-leash, but if you go on weekends or after work, you'll find regulars exercising their dogs ignoring the rule.) They have two poop-bag dispensers, which is much appreciated since Woofie poops like nobody's business at this park-- I think there's a certain smell of je ne sais quoi from all the canine traffic. And, yup, there's a spot for kids to play. And a blue spinney thing adults can enjoy, too.

This water is not clean enough for your dog to drink, Nor is it clean enough to be swimming in either. Homeless people bathe in it. need i say more? The fountain is pretty. Sit there and eat your lunch. Don't want your hands and afterwards, and then wipe your kids face with them, okay? The deal: fountains are for taking photographs in front of, not for swimming, bathing, or drinking.

Water is available there, but they don't have baggies for poop so make sure to bring your own. There are two spots, one for smaller which is on the upper side, and one that is for bigger dogs (25 lbs and up). We have a smaller dog so we went to that area first, but there weren't any dogs up there. The smaller dogs were with the big dogs in that area so we went down there and it was fine. Dogs were well behaved.

It's a wonderful place to go just to "soak it all in" and take some really beautiful photos. I honestly wanted to leave this place 5 stars so bad but the only thing was stopping be was the hike down to the beach area. There's no pathway and you have to climb over slippery rocks and be very careful even when wearing the right shoes. If you are physically able to go down there though, it's definitely worth it.

To be honest, I was more enthralled with the castle-like home, but alas, it's a private residence and very exclusive, so you can only see a tiny bit of it. It's hard for a coastal park to blow me away because I have some wonderful ones where I live. But, if you're trying to catch some water views while in Marblehead, you should stop by. I noticed a couple climbing down the rocks and foraging the shoreline, but I can't speak to if that is safe or recommended. There's free street parking and it would be a cool place to take a picnic. When we visited, it was totally quiet and private feeling.
