I went to Bellissi-NO for a long overdue root touch up.. and Joanie (who owns the salon) bleached whole sections at a time (starting with the front of my head instead of the back) when she actually should have bleached the older hair first and then go back to do the roots last. She also asked if I wanted to go platinum (which I agreed to but she should have known better as a professional and assessed my hair wasn't at the right level of lift for platinum). The end result was yellow spots all over my hair and alot of breakage :/ I told her I was extremely unhappy with it and that it needed to be fixed. But, I decided I did not trust her with my hair so asked for a refund but she only gave me a partial refund. I am pretty upset overall and my hair is fried. It doesn't seem like she has any idea of how to work with bleach. read more

Kathryn is amazing at her job! I haven't liked my hair this much in quite awhile. Super friendly, really listened to what I was looking for and gave an all around good consultation since it was my first time visiting Bellisimo Salon. I loved that she added her own fun twist to the appointment by not letting me see my hair until the very end. Booked my next appointment on the spot and looking forward to it! Also received a mani/pedi on the same visit. I was very happy with how my nails turned out. The nail area is far enough away that with music playing it drowns out the noise from the hair tools but when the music is not on you can hear EVERYTHING! Heather was kind enough to open the salon for a nail appointment for a friend and I on a Sunday. We were told the appointments would take 1.5 hours each for acrylics. The appointment ended up taking 5 hours for the two of us, which threw off our plans for the rest of the day (a child free outing for my friend's birthday). When I had a chance to really inspect my nails after leaving the salon I noticed some where uneven, the tops were crooked, and the overall acrylic is uneven. My polished smudged after leaving the salon so I ended up repainting them at home. On Wednesday I had the tip of one nail break off, and another is cracked. I contacted Heather and requested a refund since I was unhappy with the services I'd received on Sunday, and now less than a week later my nails were failing. I sent her a picture of the broken nail and explained my situation. She declined a refund but offered a pedicure or another manicure. Since I was unhappy with the original product and service, and don't have time for another long appointment, I declined to have anymore services done. read more

I use to see Tanya for all my cut/colors, I was super disappointed when she left. I hadn't seen anyone for the last 5-6 month because of that. I'm very particular with who I let work on my hair, for having pretty easy hair to work on I've had plenty of people mess it up. I made an app today and just took a gamble on the stylist. Tanya is the best at color!! I have naturally dark brown hair but like to be a blonde. It's hard to find someone who can get the right color. She was the first person to make me blonde!! I lived in denver for a few years and had some people really eff my hair up!! Moved back here and Tanya has taken care of me since. She's a great stylist and an awesome chick. I had originally written a review for this salon 8 months ago, my first impression was great! I had my nails done and after my first visit I was excited to have a new nail place. I had a real Steal Magnolia feel about this salon - at first. I went a few more times and then stopped and will not go again, at least not for the nails. After casual chit chat, asking me about myself and my family and getting to know her new client - the nail tech started telling me about the weed she keeps in her freezer, the illegal treatment she does for her clients that have bad foot fungal diseases and all sorts of other bazaar "gossip". Well if this was real life Steel Mongolia Sally Fields would have crapped her pants with disgust, Julia Roberts would have a seizure, and Dolly would have given her a what for! I am not a good ole southern girl but I know poor manners when I see them and this was bad form. I was talked into getting extensions by Tanya (tape ins, Elle) and to cut all the dead of my hair so it will grow back healthy. I agreed after being persuaded that I needed them and at the price I was quoted I decided to go with it. I was told it was cost me $300 for the amount of hair, tape, oil and to put them in. I was also told since I was FIRST extension client, that she would discount the charge to re-put them in every supposed 6-8 weeks" to $40. I made sure she could commit to that. When they came in, she put them in my hair, I told her exactly where I needed fullness. The pack of hair I bought was not enough so I ended up buying a pack from a lady in the salon who had an extra but of the wrong color. Three weeks later I decided I wanted one more pack or hair to switch colors out, apparently in that short time the price went up $35 a pack. I paid it. I went in a total of 4 times to have them done, every time they placement was horrible, I had to direct her where to put them and even still she didn't listen. I ended up driving back and fourth 12-14 times because she couldn't put them in correctly and or wouldn't listen to what I wanted. When she finally did listen, they were right! However, after only 3 weeks they were sliding down far and 4 weeks they were 1 1/2" away from my head. Half the time she originaly told me. Also, she ordered the wrong tape, which I paid for and then had to buy new tape, which didnt work and I had to pay for that as well. This last time I went in she again tried to put the extensions in the wrong way and I had to guide her through every single one. She said I stressed her out, (hmmm, well.. since I have put out about $900 on my hair with her in 3 months and she wouldn't listen to how I wanted them, I was stressed too!) After the last visit, I paid her and tipped her 45%, she TEXTED me and said her boss made her raise the visit price to $240! what?!?!?! That was NOT was quoted. Then after going back and fourth the truth was, she just didn't want to do them anymore because I "stressed" her out. (Because apparently I am a pain because I wanted my hair done right.) So now I am stuck with the hair and wasting nearly $1,000 because the stylist didn't know what she was doing. I feel cheated and ripped off and do not want anyone else to have to go through that. I would highly suggest finding a different place to get extensions done. read more

My girlfriend has been getting her hair done by Shanna at the salon for a while now and she always looks extremely good after she gets it done. She even drives a over thirty minutes to get there. I can't really judge the overall salon quality experience, but it seems nice and the end result is always impressive. This was my first and last time going to this salon. I walked in to ask about setting up an appointment for an up-do for my wedding that was more than 2 weeks away. A girl working there told me she'd be able to do it for me on the afternoon before the wedding. She said she'd even come to the venue to do it which was just in Sandy. We discussed the rate, I gave her my information and I got her number. She even told me she could do any of my bridesmaid's hair too. I was so excited! I told my bridesmaids that if they wanted, she could do their hair too. About a week before the wedding I tried getting ahold of her to confirm the appointment, left a message, and she NEVER got back to me. I couldn't believe the irresponsibility and poor service! And for my wedding day??!!! So we all ended up just doing our own hair anyways. read more

I had my first appoint at this salon yesterday and it was the worst service I have ever received from a salon. I had a mani/pedi that was lacking in every way. First, the manicurist's 10 year old son was dropped off at the beginning of my appointment. He ran around the salon playing with a lazer pointer and wanted to talk to me the whole time. Not that I don't like children but if I wanted to talk to a 10 yr old I would have stayed home. My pedicure lasted for over an hour but she didn't massage my feet and spent most of that time talking to her son and texting. For my manicure I wanted tips which she spent more time talking me out of it and into something I didn't want but finally consented to because she wouldn't stop arguing the point. When she finally started all she did was put the overlay on. She didn't do anything else, nothing. Overall, the whole expierence was a waste of time and money. read more
