I began coming to JC's Barbershop and haven't looked back. Friendly, funny and considerate, and he does an excellent job with my hair and my unruly beard at a fraction of the cost of the other place. So much faster too. JC takes pride in his work and asks that customers let him know if they aren't satisfied so he can what they want and do better the next time. I'll be a customer for life (or at least until JC retires!).

She also asked if I wanted to go platinum (which I agreed to but she should have known better as a professional and assessed my hair wasn't at the right level of lift for platinum). The end result was yellow spots all over my hair and alot of breakage :/ I told her I was extremely unhappy with it and that it needed to be fixed. But, I decided I did not trust her with my hair so asked for a refund but she only gave me a partial refund. I am pretty upset overall and my hair is fried. It doesn't seem like she has any idea of how to work with bleach.

If you want a real life mean girl to do your hair and make up, Jodie is it. Not only does she look down on folks she believes are "less than" her in some way, but she'll actually go out of her way to make you feel bad about that too; one time she actually poured an entire 20 ounce Sprite on someone's back in a very crowded space, then proceed to loudly say "oops", as she laughed so loud it made everyone in that crowded space notice what she did. Her, and her friend group thought this was cool. Jodie likes to judge tf out of, and, make fun of people who don't have designer clothes, wear make up, or otherwise conform to the same narrow beauty standards she must think are the only ways to be beautiful. I'm a mixed ethnicity person, so it was never a new experience to be treated poorly by women like her but, she went above and beyond the call of duty with her tactics. For further context, a friend of mine did very recently see her for a service, only to come out of it very upset, telling us that Jodie has not changed one bit. She was not only rude, apathetic and rough but she did not listen to my friends requests about what she wanted. This attitude sadly seems to be very common amongst a lot of stylists, where they do what THEY think is best, some will actually tell you no, that's not what they're doing. I concur, young people are mean, and sure, we all go through changes in life but at this stage in life it's clear she is just a rotten person to her core, who still feels it's appropriate to be this way. If you value someone who listens, respects others, and treats everyone with dignity, Jodie is not it.
