I was really excited to try this place. But it's been a month and I've been hesitant to give this unfortunate review. I had a consult in April about curly hair. I was told a root touch up and cut would be $165. I was fine with that. Fast forward to June and I come to have the grey roots touched up and about an inch taken off the length. I'm pretty sure more than an inch got taken off and the color look good. When I checked out I about fell over when they said $250. I had a pinched nerve in my leg and if I felt better I would have argued it more. A week later I noticed the grey coming through. It now a month out and it looks like I didn't even have my hair done. My hair doesn't grow that fast. I'm beyond not happy about this. I doubt I will be returning read more

I love Bello! I recently moved here from the Bay Area and started to surf the web for salons in the area. Bello's website caught my eye and I booked an appointment with Candace a few months back and I've been coming back ever since. I really love how she cuts my hair, she has a great sense of style and it's fun to get my hair done with her. The salon is super clean and posh, it feels luxurious to visit and the staff are really nice. The seasonal cocktail pedicures are fun but today I just had a no frills Spa Pedicure and as usual it made me feel relaxed and pampered. The 5 stars are for the Salon and not for my hair dresser (until recently). McK should have let me if she didn't want to do my hair anymore. She has cut my short, curly hair for twelve years with my loyalty following her to several salons. I had faith in her to not even watch what she was doing because she had done it for so long. The last time I got a haircut I pointed out that my hair didn't curl with the last haircut. I must have offended her because the next thing I knew she was cutting it dry in a blunt cut. It will not only curl but won't even lay right. I wish she had been honest with me...I think she owed me that. My loyalty for McK took me a while t;o dawn on me that I need to find someone else. Wow. We've been to many many spas over the years for couples massage. These were the two most Unfriendly massage therapists we've ever had. They seemed bothered during the entire experience. My therapist never asked once how the pressure was and just burned right through the massage. Not many good vibes floating around this place. We Would not recommend a massage here. read more

I have visited Bello Spa twice now, each time for a 60-minute classic massage. Even though it was the same type of service, the massages were very different as it wasn't the same massage therapist each time. Both were great, just very different styles, so I think it would be important to find the person you liked and always book with them for a consistent experience. Everyone at Bello is very friendly and professional, from the welcome at the counter to the end of your service. And, of course, I love the little chocolate set on the massage table pillow each time. Both massages I have not paid for myself, so I don't feel that I can comment on quality for the price, though I would recommend this salon. read more

I love Bello! I have been coming here for about four years. I get all my haircuts, balayages, facials, and massages here. Everyone has always been so nice and the scalp massages when you get a haircut are to die for. I've been to several salons around town but Bello never falls short of my expectations. Kimberly G has done my hair for a while now and she does an excellent job. I've had others cut my hair and they've been great as well. Sometimes when you go to other salons people have different styles of cutting or styling hair and you will get a different result every time. Not at Bello. I feel that while everyone has his/her own style, they maintain a standard. As someone who is picky about her haircuts, I appreciate that -- a lot. I have loved their services in the past but feel extremely disappointed in my treatment there today. Because of downtown road construction, I was 10 minutes late to a haircut I had scheduled with a particular hard-to-book stylist months ago. I explained why I was late and needed the cut for a marketing shoot I was getting soon. No understanding or flexibility. Just a no, and you'll need to rebook. This was the WORST experience I had at a hair salon. I went in with virgin hair and I was completely disappointed how my hair was RUINED. I made an appointment for a single balayage with Kelly back in April, I showed her what I eventually wanted my hair to look like and she did let me know that would take a few appointments as my hair is very dark which I understood. I ALSO let her know that I didn't want my hair a caramel color when she used that exact toner. I called in since my hair was just a mess after my appointment there and they told me they wouldn't be able to give me a refund (a little understandable) but then wanted me to go in and see Kelly again which I refused as she already ruined my hair with the first appointment. I asked to see someone else which was Savanna she put a different toner on my hair and it didn't make much of a difference to the blotchy/uneven look of the "balayage". I decided to not go back since they weren't going to refund me or give me better service. I went to Tara that works at a completely different salon and she definitely helped me achieve the color I wanted in ONE appointment. I just wouldn't come here and seek hair serivces elsewhere. read more

I just visited Bello to chop off my hair and get some beachy highlights for summer. Melanie did an absolutely amazing job on my hair, and I will definitely be going back. Loved the atmosphere and professionalism of the staff working there, especially in light of the pandemic. The precautions taken to protect both staff and clients made me feel safe. The fact the wellbeing of their stylists is clearly an important priority makes me doubly inclined to not only return but shout out glowing praise to everyone I know. Too many people working with the public are put at unnecessary risk right now, and I am thrilled to report that is not the case here. 10/10 would recommend. Phenomenal job. I've been to the spa side of Bello many times for massage and brow waxing and always left a happy girl so when I was in dire need for a hair cut I thought I'd give the salon side a try. I've been growing my hair for about 5 years so with it down to my mid-lower back I thought a V cut would be a great option to keep the length but give it some shape. I came armed with photos of what I wanted and a few examples of what I def did not want and thought I was on the same page as the stylist. She was very friendly and seemed confident she could give me the cut I was wanting. I wish this story had a happy ending but when I was given the mirror to check out the back of my hair after it was dried I nearly cried! No pretty layers falling softly in to a V, just harsh uneven sides with no layers. I shouldn't have been surprised as she never checked for symmetry, just cut one side the the other. She did add some layers for me at the point at my request but that still couldn't save the cut. When I got home I flat ironed my hair as it had only been dried at the salon-most likely because the unevenness and harshness of the cut are glaringly obvious on straight hair...that's when the tears did come! No V I have ever seen has a straight across flat part at the top of it! Seriously, a handful of hair just cut straight across, no blending, no layers, nothing. Devastated! Needless to say a part of me wanted to go back in and ask for this to be fixed but out of fear of it ending up even worse I chose to go else where. I am so disappointed that it cost $50 to have such an obviously horrible cut. I did get my happy ending though and the stylist that fixed it for me yesterday (who only had "huh" to say when he checked the symmetry of my hack job) only charged me $10 to fix it and was able to salvage most of the length. My salon experience is honestly worth only one star, but since I've always been happy with the spa side I couldn't leave a one star rating. I totally recommend Bello for massage and waxing but I myself will not be recommending any of my friends go there for hair design. read more

I love Bello. I can't always afford to go here, but when I have the money, it's my first place of choice. Their employees are friendly and they really take their time on your service.The pedicure room is amazingly comfortable and calm. The manicures I've received were always on point. I'm a nail biter, and the nail technicians have never made me feel bad -about it (like other nail techs have) but they give me helpful tips on how to stop and encouragement. I especially like Laura. My eyebrow waxes have always been great. I'm always hesitant to go anywhere else for waxing. Bello is A+ in service and quality! read more

I have visited Bello twice. I really enjoyed both of my experiences. Last spring, I went in for a "chamomile and honey" facial. Very nice! The smells & sounds were extremely relaxing. A scalp/neck massage was included. My hands were wrapped in warm mittens. I was in heaven! The nose pore extraction was, as to be expected, extremely painful BUT worth it. This facial was expensive, but worth the price. On my most recent visit, my roommate and I popped in just to have pore extraction done on our noses. This service was $25, which is a great deal, because to me, this is the most important part of the facial! We also received light massages and wonderfully smelling face lotion. Love, love, love Bello. Next spring, I might pop in for a seasonal pedicure which just sounds like heaven! I have to say something about my experience with service at the front desk, however. When my roommate made our appointment over the phone, she found it pretty rude & sassy that she was told that Bello "etiquette" is to not be late. Obviously for any appointment lateness is frowned upon. It turned out that on the day of our appointment, my roommate desperately needed to stop for gas and we had horrible luck with stop lights. So, I called to say that we might be about 10 minutes late - the response was very sassy and frustrated. I did not appreciate this, because either way, we were coming in to spend a good deal of money for services at the spa and deserved to be treated more respectfully. read more

I just got back from my first massage. The decision to go to get a massage was sort of out of nowhere on my part. I felt I could use one, and asked my mother if she would like to join me. We spent a couple hours online, looking at spa after spa in the hopes of finding a place that wasn't over the top expensive and suited hour liking. Finally, we stumbled upon Bello, we looked at the deals, figured out what we could afford and how long we wanted it to be. So we settled on an hour long classic massage, and when I called to book the very last minute appointment, I was told by the woman at the reception desk that they did side by side massages. So I asked for that (no charge). You do have to give a card to hold the appointment by the way. So today, my mother and I went, we were escorted to the spa area, we were offered water, tea, or wine while we filled out paper work and waited. The masseuses were both very nice, offered aroma therapy while they worked on us, it was an all around wonderful first experience. I would most definitely go again, and my mother feels the same. read more

She made negative comments throughout, seemed unhappy to be there, and did the absolute minimum. The pedicure itself was average, but the service was really what was lacking. Erin P was great! I enjoyed chatting with her while she did her thang. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a good sugarer. My only things that I was put off by were feeling slightly ignored by the people working at the front desk. I had to get their attention to help me, when they were just standing around. Also, their pricing is really high and could be dropped down by $15-20. It would be nice if there was some sort of frequent buyers card or something that allowed for regulars to get a stamp or punch in their card each time and get a free service or discount after their 10th visit or something of that nature. Seeing that this is the only place in Eugene that even does sugaring, I most likely will continue going. read more

Went to Bello for my "wedding up-do." My hair was actually down for the big day, which made an early morning styling very difficult. But they were very good about setting my expectations from the start of the process -- cut and color a month and a half before, the "practice run," and the morning-of appointment. On the day of, since I had about 5 hours between the appointment and the pictures, my sylist gave me great instructions on how to maintain the pinned curls until the very last minute before formal portraits. Service-wise, she was also amazing and let me focus while I edited my vows, and the were very sweet about my BYOB mimosas while my sisters, mother and I got ready. They poured and stored the ingredients for us, and made sure we had everything before we left. Overall, this place is pricey and SO WORTH IT. Honestly, you get what you pay for - really sweet stylists and staffers, and the products they use are top-shelf. I don't live in Eugene, otherwise I'd be there more, but I'm so happy with the decision to go with them for the wedding and so glad that Bello was part of that day. read more
