I just got my first cut here. Amber was my stylist and did an amazing job. She listened to everything I had asked for and delivered. She was extremely personable made me feel right at home. I have very long hair and got about 4 or 5 inches cut off. The price was so affordable at $45. The salon was very small and nestled away in downtown. I had my first visit here this past Saturday 1/9/20 and the girls are so sweet! I absolutely loved Charlen and Mayra. Two down to earth girls who really made me feel comfortable, because of them I'll be back! The owner Michele was also very kind and helped Mayra when it came to deciding what would work best for my hair once I was in the sink lol I loved that the owner was hands on and helped her employee, you don't always see that. I made an appt. for pedi's ($35) for myself & my mom & a manicure ($12) for myself. I was excited to find a salon with such GREAT reviews so I drove from Moreno Valley to Woodcrest (to pickup my mom) then to downtown Riverside. While waiting one stylist & her client were going on about infections from pedi's.. A few min past our appt the manicurist comes out stating she is putting a man before us (no appt.) & it wouldn't be long. Really? Very unprofessional! We're spending $100, had an appt., drove far, & Regina didn't even ask if we would mind! Needless to say we left. BTW other clients were offered something to drink while waiting, we were not. Absolutely no respect/consideration for our time. read more

I'm giving this business one star for a few reasons, I was referred by a friend and was surprised by their low prices. I went in to get a partial weave done to my medium brown hair. I had color in previously, nothing darker than a medium brown, and I explained I wanted "No ghetto orange colors" and was assured that they would achieve it one way or another. I spent that day 207 dollars mind you. Well it took five hours. One reason that I was thankful for, the stylist christy, took her time picking my highlights. Although she took her time, the stylist didn't put me under a dryer for about 30 minutes after I was foiled up, and then decided I needed heat and I was placed in a dryer for 15 minutes. Obviously the parts of my hair that received the heat from my scalp were lifted to a very pale yellow, INCLUDING my bangs, even on the ends with the most hair dye. I was told I'm ignorant and could not understand how hair lifts in various scenarios. I was told by my hair stylist "See I have training in this, you do not" and she fought me on the orange chunks of highlights that were left in my hair. There were highlights by my face that lifted completely because of the heat from my skin, and I liked the look of it. So I shrugged off the couple of orange chunks because she assured me the toner (Which she claimed to not wash out) would fix it. The toner didn't fix it, but I had been there 5 1/2 hours and needed to get on with my day. I came back two days later with a friend that I referred for their good prices and pointed out an obnoxious orange chunk of hair on my scalp and she told me that she can't lift it anymore. I asked for color over it and she ignored me. I again asked if the toner was permanent and was met with a yes once again. You see I asked this because I'm no idiot, I KNOW toner washes out, and was blown away by the fact they either 1. were lying or 2. had magic toner. I am no virgin to getting my hair colored. So I finally call in 24 days later for her to look at my hair because I never got compliments, I always got "Your hair is orange." My hair stylist had to schedule me to just look at it if she "could fix it." 5 days later I was met with my appointment with great hostility against fixing my hair. After being told again I was ignorant and did not know what I was talking about how my hair lifted best in the areas with the most heat, I was very offended. She even had the nerve to entirely deny every telling me toner didn't wash out, I thought this was funny--and offending. She even gave me an excuse that because our heads are not round like the dryer it's impossible to get an all over even heat for an even lift. Besides the point that this is absurd when the air is blown onto your scalp, it may have helped if she had me in the freaking dryer instead of having me sit in the cold for 40 minutes!!!! Mind you she doesn't realize my fiance has his BS in chemistry. My brother in law has a PHD in physics. I UNDERSTAND HOW THINGS WORK MY DEAR. I'm working on my degree to work as a CRIMINALIST, I understand chemical compounds not to mention LOGIC. We agreed on re-bleaching the few highlights that were orange for a price of $55.00. ON THEIR WEBSITE IT LISTS A PARTIAL WEAVE AT 55 DOLLARS! I said what ever and agreed to 45 if she didn't style my hair after. I didn't need my hair styled, I know what it looks like, I need my orange removed. ONE HOUR LATER I was called to be told to never come back again. They are refusing to fix my hair! It's not like I was asking them to do it for free! This makes me literally laugh so hard as I had an appointment scheduled in January to get my hair redone for ANOTHER 200 dollars. 200 dollars every two months adds up, especially with a 20 dollar tip you economic retards! Most importantly I was told: "I don't think I can make you happy, so I think you should go to another salon" Which means: "I'm too stupid to remove orange from hair that was originally a medium brown sorry we have bad work ethics and call our customers ignorant" So after being insulted, after being charged for their mistake, and after having my appointment I JUST scheduled canceled, I was told to never come back because they couldn't fix two highlights that needed to be lifted another 3-4 levels!!!! HAHA! Well as a note to the employers, be happy you just lost MINIMALLY 1,200 dollars that I could have easily spent in one year by me alone. And by the way, not to mention when you lost me, you lost 4 customers, idiots. read more

Regina at Bello Salon is the best. She has been cutting and coloring my hair for a really long time now...almost 20 years, and in three different states: MA, NY and now CA. I first came across Regina when I lived in Massachusetts. I eventually moved to NYC and tried a few stylists there, but I would drive 3 hrs to go back and see her whenever I could. I moved to LA a few years ago and had to find a replacement. I found some decent stylists here. But then a miracle happened and Regina moved to Riverside. What a stroke of luck. Now I'm back with my favorite stylist. Regina is really calm and sweet and stylish. So patient. She listens carefully when I'm trying to describe what I'd like the cut to look like or things I'm trying to get my hair to do. She offers suggestions and explains what she's doing and why. And I have always loved her as a colorist. I think she's dyed my hair nearly every possible color over the years. Technically I'm a blonde, or was, now with fistfuls of gray coming in. She blends it beautifully and the highlights look so natural. I still have to drive 1 1/2 hours to see her, but it's so worth it. And Bello Salon is really sweet. Great atmosphere. I love the way they set it up. It's also really clean and comfortable. Right near the downtown, and close to some excellent restaurants and coffee so the trip is always worth it. read more
