They have the waterfront set up so well, especially with all the cute shop along the way. As soon as my wife saw Sugah, she headed right over. What a great candy store. This is such a great location, big and bright with plenty of candy and chocolate to choose from. The young lady behind the counter was just a delightful person answering a lot of questions and being very helpful. We were so focused on the candy, we did not realize that they also have ice cream. This is a good place for some gift purchases. You can be sure that people will enjoy whatever you get them from here. It was nice that you could sit outside, weather permitting, relax and enjoy your food. KUDOs to the team at Sugah,

It was delicious! There were a few tables and chairs outside so you could sit and watch the boats in the harbor as you ate your ice cream. I especially liked the name and the overall candy store theme. That made it very unique and interesting. Next trip to the Halifax, we definitely will stop by again! The business added the overall atmosphere of the Halifax boardwalk.

Signs announced internet and phone were down-cash only. We've been traveling on debit/credit cards, and asked if they would accept USD. Yes, but only at face value; unwilling to do the conversion (25% markup). Ok, sure. Ordering dinner our server offered a swap of fries for a side salad, explaining there was a mark-up only after I ordered (another 5% markup). Dinner arrived, with only 1 pre-packaged tartar sauce. When I asked for 1-2 more I was informed the charge is $.25/each. Message received The food was pretty good, but this place is NOT for tourists. The owner/staff doesn't want you here-or at least doesn't want US tourists. Staff quashed our every attempt at friendly interaction. They obviously don't understand that the MAGA idiots don't travel, especially out of the country. I get folks dislike the policies of US leadership, but believe me we're not fans either. Being tarred with the anti US brush was a disconcerting and unhappy experience. Let the locals enjoy their meal without tourists while you try something more welcoming

To cool off after exploring Halifax, we each ordered a mango and passion fruit soft-serve ice cream in a cup. I also purchased a milk chocolate slate with almonds, a box of milk chocolate-covered hazelnuts, and a few wild rose milk chocolate truffles to enjoy later. The soft-serve ice cream was outstanding. We both agreed that it was one of the tastiest soft serves we've had in quite some time. The vanilla bean soft serve was exceptionally smooth, creamy, and flavorful, while the mango and passion fruit added a refreshing tropical twist that was perfect for a warm day. One of the highlights of our visit was chatting with Tara, the front store manager. She was friendly, warm, and incredibly knowledgeable. She took the time to explain the chocolate-making process used by the owner and master chocolatier, Julien Rousseau. Learning about the craftsmanship and care that goes into creating the chocolates made the experience even more enjoyable and interesting. Tara's assistant, Aldrin, was equally warm and welcoming, making us feel appreciated from the moment we walked through the door. The shop itself is spotless, beautifully presented, and offers a relaxing atmosphere. After spending several hours walking around Halifax, it was the perfect place to sit down, enjoy a sweet treat and a latte, and take a break. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would not hesitate to stop by again the next time we are in Halifax. Highly recommended for anyone looking for exceptional chocolates, smooth and creamy soft-serve ice cream, excellent lattes, and genuinely friendly service.

I have found a description of some of the chocolate flavours online. There are still several chocolates in the box which are not shown online, especially the decorative holiday designs. I had to bite the bullet (i.e. chocolate [pun intended]) and hope for the best. Unlike the last time, the box was filled with chocolate flavours that I really liked. Some are very original like blueberry tea and the blue speckled dome-shaped dark salted butter caramel. Most of the chocolates shifted out of place, turned upside down or sideways in transit (see photo). I've been in touch with an executive at the company who knows about the issue and is planning to change the packaging. Hopefully, they will also enclose in each box a QR code or website address/URL detailing all their chocolate flavours. I appreciate that someone reached out to me when they read that my experience wasn't as positive as they or I would have liked. This is a company that cares about its customers and reputation. Their handcrafted chocolates are beautiful with many looking like works of art.

Considering Peggy's Cove is such a popular tourist destination, I wasn't sure what to expect, but this completely exceeded my expectations. They offer several different lobster roll options, but I went with the Classic Lobster Roll, served with their housemade chips. The lobster roll was packed with fresh, sweet lobster and had the perfect lobster-to-bun ratio. It was simple, fresh, and let the quality of the lobster speak for itself. The housemade chips were the perfect crispy side. There's almost always a long line, but don't let that discourage you. The staff keeps things moving incredibly efficiently, and the wait goes by much faster than you'd expect. Once you have your food, there are plenty of outdoor picnic tables where you can sit and enjoy your meal before or after exploring Peggy's Cove. Overall, every dish was quite delicious.

The house coffee, T52, was very tasty. The shopkeeper introduced it to me as the "special double double," but I'd say it's the usual Korean milk coffee. It was creamy, pleasantly sweet, but not too sweet like the actual double-double. The matcha custard taiyaki was the star of all of these - the outer layer was super crispy (it even had some pieces fall off as the "chips," which I could use to dip the whipped cream and chocolate sauce on the plate). The taiyaki cake itself was just perfect. It was crispy on the outside but super soft and creamy inside, and very fresh and hot. The custard was sweet, comforting and delicious, which was perfectly paired with the outer buttery skin. I don't think anything else could beat this combo as the perfect breakfast. The shop was super clean, well-organized and comfortable. The service was excellent. I love this cafe. 4 stars because it's a bit pricy.
