Not to be confused with that really dumb gas station in Rhode Island (Dumboco)…read more It was the middle of the night and I was driving through Connecticut and I was shocked to find that most of the gas stations in Bridgeport and the neighbouring towns are closed. This is one of very few that is open 24 hours which is very helpful at 3 in the morning on the way to New York City. I've been to many CT gas stations. They're all so much cheaper than the gas stations inside New York State, obviously so many of the ones in Connecticut are. So even though it feels shady and isn't the safest place to get gas, I definitely have to give at 4.

They purchase products from the Dollar Tree for…read more$1.25 and take advantage of the fact that people in this area lack their own transportation means to shop at other stores, so they rack up the $1.25 items and sell them for 3 times to 7 times the original price. Even I'm seeing shampoo that is $1.25 priced at $6.99, a tiny. $1.25 travel size 6 load Tide bottle for $4.59! Taking advantage of customers this way isn't exactly "convenient" for anyone but for the owners who are making money off the unfortunate customers.

I generally enjoy the pizzas but the they're usually sold out ( especially the breakfast ones ) Recently all the machines are out of order and the parking situation is overtaken by a storage crate. It's frustrating that the store never seems to be in full operation. One of the registers doesn't work, and slurpee machines are always trashed/out of cups/lids. We rolled up completely on E and with only four pumps that I saw it reminded of one of those statinos you find in a movie. I walked in and gravitated toward the candy, then decided nah. I don't need more junk in my trunk. The attendant was casual and looking at a magazine. She was very polite, and didn't seem to bother much with anything. I asked for change and didn't have enough time to ask about all the pictures of the store along the window. There is something neat about this place.. maybe on the next trip I will find out exactly what that "neat thing" is.
