The Madison facility was very good at first but I still am struggling to get a refill addressed a week ago. Normally when I order the refill, it is processed and mailed out within 1 or 2 days at the most. The last refill was ordered last Monday and I did not receive email confirmation as I normally would receive. I logged back in to check the status and it said "processed/printed". Two days later I still had not received it so went back to check again and could not even log in as it said the login details were wrong which they were NOT as they are computer stored for accuracy. I sent emails to the technicians as well as calling and could not find a live person so left messages that still have not been answered. As of today, I still cannot log in and have tried the forgot password link which also did nothing. Tried to register again and still nothing happens. I called my doctor who called them and he was told that there was a backlog of orders but they would expedite mine. (Probably will charge extra if I ever do get it). I am out of medication for several days now and have no idea if it ever will be filled and sent or if I will ever be able to even log on to my account there. Not sure what is going on with this facility now, but it certainly has changed from when I first started using them to fill my much needed prescription :) Never a good sign when they will not respond to their customers requests for help or solutions to solve whatever is going on there. read more

Women's International Pharmacy in Wisconsin was very deceptive when I ordered my estrogen hormone. They were all out but strung me alone saying that my credit card did not work and that they had tried to notify me which was a lie and they wanted to clarify the product. I told them I needed the product quickly as I was out of product. Their answer was we will get it to you as quickly as we can. 9 days after I ordered they stated they had just gotten the product in that it would take another 5 to 10 days to mix it up. At that point I sniffed out the deceit and ordered from a different pharmacy. That new pharmacy said they would have it to me in 2 days. They tricked me into ordering something else they had in stock also so they could order the hormones also even though they knew they could not ship them right away. I will not order from them again. The amount of deception that took place was upsetting plus how bad I have felt from loss of hormones. read more

I've been a Women's International Pharmacy client for 10 years and have paid many thousands of dollars for prescriptions. I recently paid for overnight shipping (which was expensive) and was later told that overnight shipping for my order was not available. I asked for a partial refund and was met with indifference and arrogance. A small credit, a kind gesture would have appeased me. Can no longer do business with such an organization. read more

I will not be using this Pharmacy again. It took three weeks and about 10 phones calls just to get a prescription renewed. My doctors office had to fax over the script three times before they finally got it. Don't use this pharmacy unless you have at least a months supply of your current medication remaining or you will run out. read more

I will NEVER use them again! Incompetent employees, horrible business hours, everyone has a different story, or doesn't know what's going on. And very expensive! It took a week for them to get my prescription shipped, at which point she tells me it's set up for 2 day refrigeration shipping through fed ex. I say, wow that's expensive ($11.95), what are my other options? She says USPS, it's cheaper, but slower. I say fine, just do fed ex, I need to get on it as soon as possible. She says ok, gets my billing info, and charges me. That was on a Tuesday. I should have gotten it Thursday, maybe Friday, because it was in the afternoon Tuesday, it might have had to wait until Wednesday morning to go out. I wait. Package never comes. Monday morning I call, and she says oh it was delivered SATURDAY BY USPS!!! I'm furious at this point, she says did you check your mail recently? I said not since Friday, because she told me it was coming fed ex, I've been waiting for a package on my porch, and it should have been here by Friday! She says no it was set up for USPS, I said well I was charged for 2 day shipping from fed ex. She says no, that's $22 you were charged for USPS. AHHHHH!!!!! There was other multiple phone calls and incompetence before this too, with receiving the information, changing the prescription, trying to pay for it, etc. No apologies. At one point they called me on a Saturday morning trying to get payment info, I call them back, and a message says they're closed in weekends!!! WTH?! read more

I have been using this compounding Pharmacy and haven't had any complaints. The only complaint I have as of now is my Dr. just called in a script for Thyroid medicine which was sent to me and I had a reaction to the medicine. I paid almost $40.00 for this rx and could only take 1 pill.so now I need to try a different medicine, so I called to ask the Pharmacist if I could just pay for a trial amount of the new medicine because I don't know if I will experience side affects with the new Add to dictionary Pharmacist was rude. She stated that it would be a waste of her time making 5 pills. I can't believe she said this. What is the difference if she makes 5 or 30 pills? read more

I'm not sure what planet the other reviewers are from? I have used this pharmacy for 20 years via telephone order/online order. This is a great compounding pharmacy. I will admit that I would like to be able to do more online, but am happy to place a refill there. I have ordered from this pharmacy and simultaneously ordered from Caremark, guess which one showed up first? Women's International refills show up promptly in my mail, I'm honestly amazed at how fast they come. Caremark is pathetically slow. The Pharmacists here are beyond helpful if you have questions and really help out when you are trying to fine tune a bioidentical hormone. This is not your standard pharmacy. read more

Never had a problem until this reorder. This phamarmacy is going downhill. It took 10 days to verify prescription and send! They are slow to verify orders , compound and send. It is best just to look for a compounding pharmacy locally which is what I intend to do. I put my order in on a Monday. Tuesday it was not sent. Called. Said needed refill on one script. Said they faxed it . Nope, doctors office said no.. The faxed it again on WEdnesday and received the refill request on Wednesday. It took them 24 hours to enter into computer. So now it is Thursday. I call in on Friday. Pharmacist has not got to it yet and they won't address it on Saturday despite me calling in everyday to check on scripts. Now it is MOnday. One week. NOpe, not shipped on Monday . It is now a week It was shipped on Tuesday. I spoke with Manager and they said they needed clarification on one item. OKAY. SO WHY NOT SHIP THE OTHERS? Going back . They had the prescription in hand since Wednesday. So it took 4 business days to notice that you needed more info? Why didnt' they tell me on Friday when I called? So they had the prescripton on WEdnesday . They will not compound it on Friday or Saturday. It was processed on the following TUESDAY but not shipped until Wednesday! So now it is not shipped out until 10 days later. So I may not even get it on FRiday! If I don't get it on Friday , I may have to wait until the following MOnday. THAT WILL BE TWO WEEKS! I had to do all the calling because they said they would send me an email . Never got an email. Just like they said they faxed the doctor. So I am calling in daily , only to find out when I talked to the manager that THEY HAD ENTERED MY EMAIL INCORRECTLY IN THE COMPUTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They did nothing to compensate me for all the time and trouble. IN FACT, I HAD TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR PRIORITY SHIPPING . To say this is a nightmare is putting it lightly. A friend recommended Women's International Pharmacy to me. This is my first time using Women's International Pharmacy. I was very pleased with the service I received. They explained the process for getting my prescription filled and contacted my doctor to discuss the bio identical alternative. Once my doctor approved this, they processed my order promptly. They also sent out detailed information on the product and their pharmacy. They also followed up with an email a couple of weeks later. In addition, the price was over $200 less than my local pharmacy for the prescription! read more

Hey stop being bullies with your low star rates your not using W.i.P. because you were using other pharmacy with great service. there's only a few compound pharmacies that are welling to fight for us so we can have this kind of compound. This is my first time using this company. ...so far im very disappointed. For some reason my doc sent my script to them even though there is a great compounding pharmacy near me, since its my first prescription of the med, I let it lie. Because I had no knowledge of the company, I ended up here and saw the negative reviews. With people having different experiences and different ideas I crossed my fingers and called with my information and ask about the process and timelines. The staff was very nice and explained how things "usually" worked. I expressed how this was new and suppose to be a "miracle drug" for me, that I was anxious to receive, and I was not part of any of the negative reviews . I even asked if things did not run as usual what timeline that was, she said 5 days would be the exception.This drug was to help an undiagnosed 13 yr illness that destroyed my life. As I stated she was very nice. I was optimist. That was Monday and left assured that a 24 hr process from script to mailing was standard. I left my billing info in advance ( no insurance accepted) so they did not have to call to process payment. I was told it went from pharmacy to mailing then billing as last step. Even though pharmacy to billing to mailing made sense to me. I was told I would receive tracking number at time of billings, so it could be tracked. Wednesday I called to check process because I was told 2 day mailing, so I knew it was the last day I had in hopes of receiving before next week. I was told it was being filled and to insure Friday delivery I should pay 29 dollars extra asap because it was just leaving. I declined as I knew fed ex would no include Saturday delivery in that price and I would end up getting on Monday anyway. Wednesday, Thursday, no money taken from my account. No tracking number. Friday morning money taken, no tracking number. I call. Nice person again, now told payment must be made first because they would never fill an item if it wasnt going to be paid for. She asked for my tracking number...haha. I told her thats why I had called because the money was taken and I had no number. I read the accounts of working there on glassdoor.com and it sounds like its just as crazy to work there as it is to try to get something from there. I was called twice to verify the address I had left myself in my profile, they were all very nice and reassured me that the script was just leaving...there was not been one day this week that it was just leaving, was even told because it was delayed it was now a rush order and I guess whose to say in their world its not....I guess. Needless to say I will be asking my doctor for a paper refill prescription so I can take up the street. Had I thought 29 dollars would have helped I would have paid the ransom. If they would have even told me it would take 2 weeks I wouldn't have had the expectation. Nice ppl, bad company. Over promised when they know they can't deliver. I don't do well with automated systems that send me into wanting to punch this company out before getting a human who puts me on hold just to get someone else who knows nothing. I'm nearly deaf and don't need this crap. I've not received or taken this stuff yet and am reluctant to do it. I'm guessing that my pharmacy in NZ would charge far cheaper in spite of their expensive mailing costs, but I won't have to fool around with automated BS and people who know nothing and like it that way. For my $50+, they can keep the crap they will send me someday and I can stay away with stuff I know nothing about. I love my doctor but every time I go into her office, I walk out with another prescription. Death is cheaper than this nonsense. I am taking this one fill to see how bad it is, as so far, I can't think this stuff will serve me any useful purpose. I have to call to in to order refills? I highly doubt it. I'll check with my NZ pharmacy first. If this crap contains premarin, I absolutely refuse to take it - and no human on the line seemed to know or care. I had a prescription ordered at this pharmacy. The same day my doctor sent the prescription in, the pharmacy tried and failed to get in contact with me over the phone (calling once). The following day I received (in snail mail) a sort of mean letter saying they would not fill the prescription unless I gave them my credit card, since they had not been able to reach me over the phone. I was a bit shocked (they must have mailed the letter the same minute they tried to call me, to reach me 12 hours later). But, ok, maybe this is the most efficiency business in the world?. I go to pick up the thing, and they say I'll have to deal with reimbursement from the insurance. How difficult can that be? I confirmed I could fax in the form requested by my insurance. When I called back to confirm they were working on it, they said they did not care even looking at the fax, because they do not fill any form. They then faxed me back some standardized paperwork with ingredients of the medication, which of course my insurance won't accept (since it is not really understandable - or actually, if I understand it correctly, the price of the product is like 1 dollar, over the 35 I paid), and a paper saying that beginning Jan 1 any form of research on the medication you buy will cost the customer extra money. Seriously? Imagine having a job where you deliver something but if they ask you how you got it, you tell them "I'll tell you only if you pay me more". I was a customer of this pharmacy for several years, but cannot continue to patronize them as of today. I was told by their pharmacist that the bioidentical hormones their pharmacy dispenses may be derived from GMO soybeans. She stated that the source of their bioindenticals, which she would not reveal, will not even divulge to Women's International whether the bioidenticals are derived from yams, GMO soybeans or non-GMO soybeans. So, it is possible that I may have been slathering myself with pharmaceuticals derived from Round-up Ready soybeans! If I had not asked about the source of the bioidenticals, I would have never known. Apparently, at the time of this review, Women's International is not accredited by The Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board ( PCAB). I contacted several pharmacies outside of Wisconsin which are accredited by PCAB and they said they dispense only yam-derived bioindenticals ( never GMO soybean) as they regard it to be the the highest quality source. One indicated that they could provide an organic olive oil base having no toxic preservatives, unlike Women's International which uses sodium bezoate in their "natural whip" base. read more
