The new roof is on! Perfect timing in between melting snowstorms and howling winds. Yesterday was perfect, but today the wind has kicked up again, but no matter, it is all done except for a little clean-up. Roofing is not cheap, but I got all the upgrades, including the Timberline Shingles Ultra HD for both durability and beauty. I had almost 2350 sq. ft. of area to cover since my garage is over-sized at 24 x 26, 5% pitch and no gables...plus a porch to cover. Ice dam upgrades and high wind naiings (6 per shingle) will keep this baby where it belongs, on my house and not in my yard. The color is Slate, which is a cool grey with a slight green undertone, just like....slate. Looks great and will last long after I'm gone. Rated: 120 mph wind resistance. Former shingles were 60 mph. Be aware of Belmarez Roofing!! ! Please read full review... to get full scope ty. Many, many, questionable tactics by these bully type business. First off DO NOT TRUST COMPANIES WHEN THEY HAVE ALL 5 STAR REVIEWS AND DO NOT HIRE YOUR NEIGHBORS TO DO WORK FOR YOU LOL AND LET ME TELL YOU WHY!! THIS COMPANY IS A NIGHTMARE TO DEAL WITH! They are NOT the same company that shows up to do the job. It is a complete different company. They pull a fast one on you at the last second when they show up to do job!!! So ABSOLUTELY make sure you ask for copy of ALL of their insurance policies, including general liability insurance, workmans comp insurance (since they supposedly have employees) etc. and call and see if BOTH names are on ther policies and if they are not id think twice. They are a sole proprietor so I would love to know how that would work! Ive worked in the industry! This could really screw you if you do need your insurance or their insurance to cover something. They also do not offer a free upgrade to storm class shingles like many other companies. I fell for this like an idiot and still hired these individuals anyways. Heads up If you call 5 or 7 others youll find someone who will give you a free upgrade to storm class unlike these people. . ( I wish i would have done this) Come to find out after I could of went somewhere else and got storm class shingles upgrade for no extra cost.... but ended up spending my hard earned money cause of their tactics!! Boy what a mistake ! Also had gutters replaced by their contact. ! They are known in the area to put the bottom part of downspouts back on upside down. Good thing it caught my eye cause it was at a weird diagnol so even I picked up on that ! They are also known to put the gutter guards on wrong. The corner piece of gutter guard should have been clipped under and hiding in top of the corner instead it is still placed outside on top of gutter. If you do hire them go google how gutter guards should sit in place and make sure they do it right!!! If you already did hire them... well sorry!! ( what a joke) WeIl I should have I talked to more people.... I absolutely do not trust contractors with perfect all 5 star reviews after this! Amongst other things I am not impressed. Then ...... on top of ALL THIS. they are RELENTLESS and I mean RELENTLESS wanabe bullies for over five years. I have 5 years of documentation of this. They also got multiple houses to try and bully me because of their slander! They got one of the neighborhood kids that is a bully like him to push snow up underneath my Chevy cruze with his snow plow and crack the underneath of my car. The same kid tried to hit me in my truck head on one tuesday afternoon in sept 2024. They tried to get all their family members that live across the street to harass me They got individuals at 2 other houses to bully me too . So basically they got their bully buddies on our street to constantly bully and harrass me. This consists of 4 houses they got to bully me . Recently they would watch me from inside their house on their cameras and stalk me and come out and harass me when id run out to my truck on parked on street . The police had to come. The police knows all this and knows all the houses involved now so run along and tell ALL your bully buddies to leave me alone or I will take further action. These are only a couple things of many... I will come back woth pics if need be. So this is how they treat their customers who spent 15 k w them? I asked the owner this one time and he said: "You didnt pay me. Your insurance company did." Lol wow! That somes up this guy. WOW! NOT A SMART BUSINESS MOVE! I warned them numerous times I would post a review if they didnt leave me alone. I have a case number with the police and have contacted the bbb and etc to see next steps if they dont stop after this review. Inwarjed these peoplle over and over to leave me alone. The roof is beautiful. Johnny and his father came to my house to inspect the roof and I found out the business is been around for over 35 years. I knew I could trust them for getting the job done and more getting the job done "Right" with their experience. Once we picked out the shingles it was just a matter of a week before they were installing them. I thought this process would take weeks because I had four layers of shingles that have been built up throughout The decades. I was wrong. Every house is different but mine took two days and the first couple hours of the third day to be completely finished. The workers were very respectful and if they had any questions would call or knock on the door. I did upgrade my shingles to the 50 year and I'm glad I made that decision. I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever. From the moment they inspected my roof until now I am completely and 100% satisfied. The house looks wonderful and better than expected. Now my house is actually up to code as well. One thing I was afraid of is that cleanup wouldn't go so well, I was wrong about that too. They cleaned up my yard and it looks better than it looked before. Once everything was done Johnny called me to do a follow up and make sure everything was up to my expectations. The drainage system of my sun room was built poorly, causing the debris on my roof to build up, creating water backup and flooding into the soffets and siding of my sun room. The soffets were rotten and riddled with mold - no easy task to fix. Johnny and his crew removed the fascia and rotten soffets, put up new soffets, and had a new drainage system properly installed. They arrived promptly and did the job right. The roof of my sun room is old and is no longer manufactured, and finding form-fitting bird stops was next to impossible. So Johnny came up with a method both to allow proper drainage and keep critters out of my sun room. Given all the unkowns and obstacles along the way, I'm deeply impressed with the workmanship. And the best part - Johnny does not overcharge his customers, and uses the best materials to get the job done right the first time.
