My car was the victim of a hit and run -- luckily the runner's license plate was captured on security footage (ha!). For the claim, I took my little Pontiac to Belmont Collision as it's right next to my apartment building and it's an ICBC-accredited valet shop. I received excellent service from all the staff at Belmont. They took care of all the paperwork involved for the claim and for my loaner car (a rental from Hertz, covered by my insurance). They arranged everything so that when I dropped off my car, the rental car and the Hertz employee were there to meet me. The work took less than a week to complete (some of the parts took longer than that to ship, but they didn't take the car in until they had most of the parts so they could start on it) and they did such a good job of everything. It honestly looked better after the repairs, and they replicated my decorative vinyl sticker so precisely that I couldn't even tell it had been replaced. The cherry on top was that my car was fully washed inside and out upon return! I was so grateful for that. If my car ever gets banged up again (knock on wood) I will bring it here for sure. read more

I've been a loyal customer of Belmont for nearly 20 years -- until today. I called in, desperate, because the windshield wiper mechanism was clearly installed wrong. The blades were rubbing against each other, and one finally snapped off while I was driving in the rain. I was shaken and upset. To my shock, the manager on duty, Kevin, responded dismissively and refused to help me, saying the shop was "too busy." Despite my distress, he essentially told me to "eff off." I then took my car to another shop -- also very busy -- and they managed to fix the wiper in under a minute. If a busy shop can handle a simple fix without drama, it's hard to justify staying with Belmont. After two decades of loyalty, I'll no longer use Belmont. My partner won't either. I'll be warning friends and family: if you want dependable service and respectful treatment, go somewhere else. Belmont -- your "too busy for customers" attitude guarantees you won't be so busy for long. read more

15k in repairs and the door was still broken, rental car was not ordered came two days late. Insurance says a plastic part of my bumper that clips on was not covered. After doing business with them they want to charge me $500 to clip on a $180 dollar part. So my car was not even fixed. Service is trash. read more

There is simply no end to the outstanding things that I can say about Kevin, the Mechanical Team Leader, and his Team at Belmont Collision! They are amazing professionals with the highest standard of ethics that I've ever seen anywhere. I took my vehicle in to replace an oil pan gasket, Kevin warned me that it wasn't a quick repair on my vehicle and would cost 7.5 hours of labour plus parts. Having done business with him in past I immediately agreed to the cost. Unfortunately, the service manual led them down a false rabbit hole. They had to start all over and remove the transmission to complete the repair. Any other shop would have charged me for the additional 10+ hours of labour, double plus some what I thought I'd pay, to do this. Not Belmont!! Kevin said, "I quoted you a price and I'm gonna stick to it". Forget the lost income for a moment, this would have put them scrambling to keep up with other work that they already booked! Any other shop would have billed me for the additional work. Not Belmont. Not Kevin. My car developed an irritating squeaking noise in the front - I was unable to determine the location of the problem. I dropped it off at Belmont Collision late Saturday afternoon and explained the problem. They advised they would look at it first thing Monday morning and get back to me. Monday morning I received a phone call from Kevin at Belmont advising me they could not hear the squeaking noise I was complaining about. I went to Belmont and drove with Al, the mechanic who had investigated the noise, over rough sections of the road, and for whatever reason the noise was not evident. When I asked for the invoice I was advised there was NO CHARGE and if the noise did reappear to call them back. I was struck by the integrity of this company in that they had to have spent labour and shop time to determine there was no noise and notwithstanding the foregoing they did not charge for their investigation. Subsequently the noise did reappear and I returned to Belmont. They did a further investigation and determined the cause of the squeak was the result of a loose windshield which only presented when raining. The difficulty then was to "reseal" the window, however they advised there would be a risk in removing and resealing in that the windshield might break and the cost of the windshield was approximately $1,300.00 in addition to the $400.00 labour cost. They provided me supporting documentation to present to the dealer substantiating this was a warranty claim and the manufacturer subsequently resealed the windshield at no cost. I took my old Jeep to Jack at Belmont Collision for a windshield replacement. Not simple as the steel framing had to be replaced also. The quote was more than reasonable and the customer service, keeping me informed as work progressed was amazing and appreciated. Painting had to be done and it was expected that new paint would stand out against the old. However, they got the job done in great time and the paint matches fabulously.
