Attendant on site - locks doors but will let you in and out to pack up your car if need be. Pretty clean overall. Dryers didn't do as good as I would expect at pulling the pet hairs during the drying time. Makes me wonder if the vents are cleaned or cleared enough or if the dryers just aren't that great at it? read more

I love this place. The people who run it do a great job of keeping it clean, keeping riffraff out, and making it feel safe even late at night. They have always been kind and courteous and immediately helped when quarters were compromised by the machines. read more

I lived in NYC for 4 years, and the laundromats there cost 1/3rd of what they do at this ****hole. It's hot AF in here (no AC), 1/3rd of the machines don't work and are not marked as broken, so I paid $27 to do 1 load of laundry, because the owners refused a refund. In NYC, you can use a HUGE machine and do a kid for $3.25, ANY KIND. Here, a NYC-sized machine is a rip-off, and is called a "6X" by these scammers (it's SO NOT) and the minimum to use it is $10.00. Their 3x load is TINY and the cheapest option is $6.25 for a "quick wash," where my clothes are full of soap at the end, even with the extra rinse option (which costs extra, of course). Everything besides a 25-minute quick wash with soapy clothes at the end of the wash costs extra. This whole place is a disgusting rip-off, and they know how to make money off us well - have zero staff, a million cameras, and broken equipment with no one to tell about it. This is my go-to spot for laundry day. You can do HUGE loads for a good price rather than three separate loads which would end up being about twice as expensive as one of the large load washers. The place stays clean and there has never been any issues with not being able to find an open washer or dryer. They have top of the line machines. My one complaint is during certain night hours there is nobody on staff. So if you have a problem or need the code to the restroom because you've been there for quite a while, you're out of luck. I'm not sure when they are staffed and when they are not, But I always go in the evening/nights and I've never seen a staff member there. I've even tried knocking on the office door in the back hoping someone would be in there. They also have ample room for folding and plenty of roller carts. read more

Love this place. Except when they take in laundry for another. They use up most of the washers and dryer's leaving the laundry in them when it is done. The people doing laundry never even turned around to see people were waiting. As rude as this is. Leaving the towels and sheets in machines . The owner needs to pay more attention, like he use too. First our washer lost a screw then our dryer stopped blowing hot air so the laundry was stacking up! I work close to this location so I came over based on past reviews as the last time I went to a mat close to my house, I did not feel clean OR safe. The place was well lit, lots of machines, everything was clean and sanitized! I felt safe - just people doing their laundry and leaving :) There are several different sized washers so I was able to actually get all my colors in 1 and all my whites in another so I was in and out faster than I thought! The attendant was visible and I actually saw her attending to the business (not something I saw at the "other" place). If I ever need to do my laundry elsewhere I will be back! New owners = service & cleanliness are Way Down. Masks are optional, it seems - the "No Mask No Service" was replaced with a small sign, a little bigger than your phone, with a picture of a mask. The Carts are Not Cleaned and people doing laundry not wearing masks This Used to be a terrific, if somewhat on the high-end, place to do your laundry - in both locations. Always Clean and owners kept it up shipshape. Not any more. BTW Prices were Raised as Service is Down. What a Huge, Huge Disappointment! Changing to One (1) star. The place is No Longer Clean. had to stop going here after about 5 years. everytime i go there, there is always something that irks me. Seems like there is a lot of loitering. Parking is often filled. And if you keep mopping an hour and half before close, someone is going to fall and you will have a lawsuit on your hands, They up the price considerably everytime I go in there it seems like. I like this place to do laundry. First, their machines--both wash and dry--accept bank card payments: you can slide your card right in and pay, no need to get quarters or bill's from somewhere. At one point in my life, I was considering opening a laundromat with my siblings, so we went to a sales presentation for Electrolux. They make high quality, modern washers and dryers. When I walked in to Belmont Eco Laundry and saw that they used Electrolux machines, I instantly knew this would be a great laundromat. The place is clean, tidy and never really busy so plenty of open washers/dryers to use. I saw a worker wiping down the machines for an hour as I waited for some laundry. They must value cleanliness here obviously. Love the fact that your can get a text when your load is done if you have to leave. Plus free Wi-Fi and a nice counter the window with bar stools to sit at. There are some food carts a few blocks away if you want nosh on something while waiting. read more

Have been coming here for years. Former owners left and the place has been on the decline ever since. New owners try to just let the place operate on its own. Todays visit got me to post a review. I was welcomed by the welcome comittee per say: a guy in his lawn chair and a cart full of his belongings just chilling right by the front door on a beautiful spring day. Paying consumers would have liked to wait outside perhaps while waiting for laundry. Not to mention when i got out of my car i stepped in some slipper brown subsrance that may have been someone emptying their camper toilet or something . Pretty sure the people working there are allowing these vlagrants loiter as they seemed to have intermittent conversations with them. This place has turned into a meeting grounds for vagrants. Most people that come here are not going to feel comfortable and welcome. read more

I only do laundry every 6 weeks, it's a huge load. However, the dryers here completely dry my clothes on medium heat in less than 28 minutes. Also, lots of different size washers to choose from. Also, they have nice little rolling baskets, a clean restroom, and nice staff. read more

Before I moved to Portland, I never had to use a laundromat. I was a little afraid of the whole experience.. people tell you horror stories about your clothes being stolen when you turn around, and creepers staring at you bending over to change laundry. It just didn't seem like a whole lot of fun to sit around while your clothes get un-stinkified. I prefaced my review with that to describe to you my utter relief when I came to this place. I first came due to convenience of location, but am now a regular attendee because of the convenience of awesome. Pleennttyy of machines to fit your fifty tons of built up laundry, plus your roommates' and maybe even your neighbors. I have only been once when all the machines were in use, and that was on a Saturday mid-morning, when just about everyone is trying to get their favorite outfit cleaned for ass-getting later. If you don't feel like waiting, you can drop your laundry off and have the awesome family owners do it for you! They charge by the pound, and are super friendly and engaging. But waiting isn't that bad.. washers take 30 min, and the huge industrial dryers are futuristic-fast. They keep the place super clean, there are places to sit to read, and two arcade games.. a racing game and a pinball machine, both at acceptable audio & fun levels. My only complaint about the entertainment devices is that the TV is always on kind of loud, and always on really crappy stations. I am trying to read the end of an old Vonnegut classic but find myself looking up to see soap opera stars crying and making out with each other. Either that, or crappy talk shows about your baby's mama. Come on Springtime, get with the Portland scene! None of us want to subject ourselves to that crap. Also, sucks that they never stay open past 7pm.. guess I have to start going on weekends with the rest of the world. Fortunately, lots of hotties attend this place. I actually met a rad date here, and have seen many others I'd like to talk to if they didn't look so busy laundering. Laundrying. Warshing. Whatever. I'm rambling. When your laundry hamper is as full as it has ever been in your life, and you discover two cubic feet of dirty water in your washing machine, you want a good neighborhood laundromat. You need a good neighborhood laundromat. You need a good neighborhood laundromat *badly*. And, fortunately, I have one. It's clean, has plenty of fast washers and dryers, has reasonable prices ($1.50 for a wash, $0.25 for eight minutes of drying), and the people who run it are nice and friendly. They have a detergent dispenser, a television, and stacks and stacks of fluffy magazines. I only wish they had more chairs and that the Coke machine worked. read more

worst alteration experience of my life. EXTREMELY rude owner. i asked to have my two pairs of jeans hemmed with their original hemming. paid my 14 bucks for each pair and went along my merry way. called back a couple times just to make sure they performed the hemming with the original hemming. came back a week later to find that they failed to follow my instructions. instead of apologizing, the owner blamed ME....saying that its my fault for even requesting original hemming. "original hemming? no one gets original hemming!!" no one gets original hemming?...then why on earth did you agree to do it in the first place and take my money!!!??? no refund was offered. just a verbal thrashing from the owner. perhaps the worst customer experience in my entire life. please avoid this place. read more

Umm... I don't know if it means I'm getting old, or that this place is just this awesome...but I never would have thought I'd be so impressed and excited about laundry. Fast, clean, reasonable. Large equipment. Friendly people. $3-4 per wash depending on settings. $.25 for 6 min in dryers. My stuff was done within 18 min, and next time I'm just gonna try 6 min and see what happens. I brought in three coats to be dry cleaned here. Maybe I was just spoiled in Vegas, where they had $2.50 cleaners, because when I got the $39.50 bill for those three coats, I was shocked. Like WOAH WHAT JUST HAPPENED shocked. When I told my boyfriend about it though, he said that was pretty standard price, so maybe I just need to get unspoiled. But yes, my coats are perfectly clean. The Russian lady that runs this place was super nice and friendly, which helped soften the blow of that bill. read more

I usually don't mind doing laundry here. It's kept pretty clean and they usually have someone on site if issues arise. Today I came to do laundry and four of the seven individuals were not wearing masks. I suppose when it's dangling at your throat you're technically wearing it, though incorrectly. There was a sign posted that masks are required. The kicker was the sick woman laying across the bench inside, also not wearing her mask over her nose/mouth. This was a huge disappoint and source of anxiety. With the state of our world right now someone should be making sure these guidelines are being adhered to. read more

I give this place 4 stars for 3 things: a washing machine that cleaned my sons dirty blankets and sheets, a dryer that worked, and a nice lady who let me know the difference between paying for 3.5 mins per quarter and 7 mins per quarter, as well as being a decent human! I looked past most of the visual yuck of this place, b/c it did the job & did it well - for $6.25. When I first went in a young woman was sitting at a banquet style table reading a magazine, waiting for her laundry to finish. The table had 4 neat stacks of mags. The lady behind the counter greeted me and smiled as she worked. I left my laundry to wash and came back to change to dryer... No worries about anything really. When I was changing wash to dry, I noticed a "street fellow" in there doing his laundry. When I came to pick up my laundry, I noticed it was near closing time (7 pm). He did not seem to notice. I checked in with the lady and asked if she thought he knew they were closing. She politely & tactfully talked to him before he put his $ in the machine. Kudos. read more

Belmont Eco-Laundry is the best! These front loaders may cost a bit more than other places but it is worth the extra cost! The machines, folding tables and bathrooms are clean. It is staffed by friendly people and when the owners are around they are always up for conversation. I have done some laundromat hopping because my job has taken me to the west side but none can compete with this laundromat! The only downside is that because this place is great it is always super busy... the sweet spot seems to be around 7 pm on a weeknight.. which makes for a long darn day! I agree with the other reviewer about the machines not being as clean- there's one attendant who cleans the machines but it seems the rest do not. And people put way too much soap or tide pods etc and they get stuck in the soap dispenser. I sanitize several times and use vinegar and a scrub brush myself if the attendant isn't there. The machines SHOULD be cleaned out the night before but that is not happening. Something I do appreciate-comparing it to Spin Laundry Lounge-the attendants know how to flush the machines out so that all of the soap gets cleaned out. I'm sensitive to soaps so this is necessary for me. It's a little more expensive than what you will pay at a more traditional laundromat but it's worth it for me. read more

I have been coming here for about two years. When I first came to this laundry mat I was so excited, Finally a laundry mat I am willing to support! The machines allow you to sanitize, someone is always on site, and the machines actually clean my clothes. It was expensive, but it felt worth the money. Recently things have gone downhill. On multiple occasions I would wash my clothes and realize that they didn't get clean. When I checked the soap container it is filled with water and my soap. It happened to my husband twice also. So then I started checking after I sanitized to make sure the water drains. 50% of the time it doesn't drain. After talking to staff it seems that people either put the wrong soap in, like tide pods which are supposed to go in the wash with the clothes or dry soap in the liquid spot. I realize this is not the laundry mats fault, but maybe putting up signs in different languages will help. Or just making instructions on how to use the machines in larger print, because people are obviously not understanding. I am already paying $8.50 to wash in the larger washer, and if I am not diligent and check to make sure it drains and isn't clogged with soap, i am stuck washing again. So the lesson is, always sanitize and stick your fingers in the soap spot to make sure it isn't filled with water and soap. read more

Being a neighbor of mine, it's only natural that I wind up frequenting this Laundromat more than any other in town. And, even though I'm forced to patronize them because of their ridiculously convenient location to my house, I still like Springtime Laundromat. The family that works here is sweet, helpful, and friendly. There are plenty of machines available and the soap vending machines are well-stocked. They have a TV for you to battle boredom with, a good selection of magazines, and (I hear) you can get free wi-fi from here, too. And when I'm REALLY lazy, I drop off my laundry here and have them wash and dry it for me. It only costs 98 cents a pound. read more
