I felt compelled to write this to help set expectations for people who may come here…read more This is the downtown office to which there are many in the outer San Antonio area. I chose this one because of it's close proximity to where I live. In regards to layout, the first floor covers main ear, nose & throat doctors. The second floor is for allergist and audiologist doctors. So, let me get down to it. I give two stars for the ENT doctors. The one I see (Dr. Desai) seems adequately knowledgable and wants to provide the best care he can give. Now for the painful items. Expect to wait for almost 30-45 min to see any doctor, even with an appointment. It might go faster if you see a PA but it's doubtful. The office is also a cell phone dead zone. Expect to have limited to basically no cell service. The clerk staff can be rather slow paced to be honest. You can enter to check in and wait for 5 min before in even considering talking about a co-pay. This is even with a scheduled appointment. So, with all that said if you still decide to come in, bring a book or an e-reader and spend some time reading while you wait to see a doctor. TL;DR Doctors are decent but the facility is woefully under equipped and/or negligently staffed to provide quality service in the realm of healthcare. UPDATE: Upon further discussions with appointment scheduling with the Brooklyn Ave office, the ENT doctor I see is ONLY available 1 day a week (Wednesday). This is mostly at the heart of the quality of service I am experiencing here.

A year later I called and asked to please verify that our insurance would be accepted with any of their doctors, well we got sent back to see the Doctors we initially saw and got sent home saying nothing more than Sorry, we don't take that insurance!!!!!

This is one of the strangers appointments I've ever had. I told her that I was told my hearing was fine and she said that they don't always tell you if they don't think it's important enough. Then she proceeded to tell me that I'm going to have to pay $75 because they do not bill secondary insurance. I didn't know what she was talking about. I asked her why the lady on the phone didn't tell me I needed to pay before and she replied "the girls on the phone aren't allowed to talk about money." Very strange! I ended up saying never mind and walking out and calling an Uber. This was a HORRIBLE experience and I highly recommend you find another ear doctor unless you like to be belittled and mocked. I did complain about there not being anywhere to sit outside and that we had to wait 45 minutes outside. I have a prearranged medical transportation because I'm completely disabled and her reply was, "well, lunch is from 12 to 1."Very unprofessional.

Extremely Disappointed - Poor Service and Rude Staff…read more My mom purchased her hearing aids from this facility about a year ago when it was still Estes, and recently when one needed repair, we brought it in hoping for prompt and professional service. After several attempts to get through and finally securing an appointment, they sent the hearing aid out for repair. We were told it would be expedited due to the delays we had already experienced. Two weeks passed with no update. Despite their promises to call with information, we heard nothing back. I had to keep following up myself. I stopped by to get a hopefully get a response and to express my frustration, and spoke with Ashtyn and Kendra at the front desk. Instead of acknowledging the issue or offering an apology, they admitted they didn't return my calls, but became extremely defensive when I said the way the situation was handled seemed incompetent. Rather than addressing the poor service, they focused on how busy they were and implied that I should be more understanding of their inability to answer the phone. The lack of empathy or accountability was stunning. Ashtyn ended the conversation by telling me, "Good luck finding a hearing aid place for your mom," which was incredibly rude and unprofessional. This entire experience has been frustrating and disappointing. I rarely leave negative reviews, but the disregard for their customers, especially seniors relying on essential devices, is unacceptable. I would absolutely not recommend this business.
